~20cm Dolls Lati Yellow Loui Event Head Unboxing

Hello all! As I had stated back over in the Lati Yellow discussion thread, I have officially started the process of owning a second Lati Yellow! I haven't decided on a name yet, but this Lati will be my very first boy doll, ever lol

To start things off, I need to mention that I purchased this lovely guy secondhand from foreverdollydreamer on Instagram. She was his first owner and got him as a surprise gift from her fullset Lati Lime Jenny order directly from LatiDoll. I want to make it very clear how wonderful this seller was to me, I legitimately have never had a nicer person sell a doll to me, who then took time out of her day to chat with me about the hobby. Even when I messed up and thought the package might've been lost (I was watching the wrong tracking number, curse my Samsung!!), she did everything in her power to make sure this Loui got to me safely. I know this isn't meant as a review thread but my gosh, she is an absolute saint!

Ok, now onto the unboxing!

Here's the box he arrived in. My area is currently experiencing flash flooding from the rain and I was worried how the box would hope up, but it was encased in tape so it was very dry on the inside.


Upon opening, I was very pleased to see how well packed my little guy was. He had multiple layers of bubble wrap protecting him, and she even placed packing peanuts in it to keep things from moving inside.


And here he is in his little bubble wrap casing!! My new Lati Yellow Loui

 

As a bonus, here are some extra photos I took while comparing my new Loui to my other Lati Yellow. My first Lati Yellow is a modified Lumi in the 2013 Normal Skin with the Version 1 body.

Here they are in natural lighting together (a sin I know but it helped, also ignore the flood water outside lol)




You can really tell just how old my Lumi is when compared to the new 2020 Loui Event Head. To think that both of these dolls are considered to be "Normal Skin" just blows my mind. The innovation in structure between the two is also incredible, which really does go to show the time and energy it takes for the artists to create these works of art.

Thank you! Yes I plan to do his faceup myself, I haven't done one in a long time and need to go hunt down my old supplies but since he's a boy I figured I can make his faceup much more simple. I posted the head cap comparison because I haven't been able to find anyone that's posted them ^^"
