I'm currently in the process of archiving my older (doll) pictures and I've stumbled upon some pictures I completely forgot to show off. So I'll start sharing a few things from my archive in the coming weeks. These were taken back when I only had two dolls (one of which had gotten send straight to Poland for her faceup upon her arrival) and Elodie who remained had to wear my first attempts at sewing doll clothes. Among them the classic sock dress. At least I also made socks out of this old sock. I was still figuring out how to pose dolls so Elodie always looks a bit awkward when standing. This was the only picture where her standing posture looks more or less natural: Having her sit down was much easier: She has since gotten new eyes and a different wig . And better clothes. Even if she still mostly wears my handmade clothing. But at least they aren't made from old socks anymore. Thanks for watching
I've been sorting & clearing old photos this winter also. It's fun to look back & remember those times. And to realize how my photos & sewing have improved. (Or still need work) ;}
Oh absolutely . Luckily I can look back and not totally despise everything but I can definitely see where I've improved. I don't enjoy the sorting and decluttering at all (be it digitally or manually) but I desperately need the storage space and I know it'll just bite me in the ass if I don't do it. So I hope to motivate myself a bit by posting some of these pictures.
Yep, storage. That was my motivation. Backed everything up then thought I'd just zip through & save just my favorites. But yikes I've taken a lot of doll photos over the last 12 years!?!? XD But isn't it fun remembering some of those earlier doll moments?
