Ok sooooo i tried makeing my first head! Yayeh!! but thinking of a doll tutorial on paperclay not stone i was wetting the ladoll clay to make it smother on the head ;_; i than noticed it crackling everywhere and i was wondering what happened so i looked it up and read it dissolves in water . . . so ._. should i trash the head and make a new one i used so much ladoll clay on it but i think i ruined it ;_; help...
You maybe just added a little too much water, so that it cracked as it dried. You can fill in the cracks with more clay, and then smooth it with a damp finger. If necessary, you can sand the rough spots, too. It's very hard to ruin paperclay. You shouldn't have to trash the head you made, unless you want to.
