I am waiting to hear back from them on pricing.
The doll with light tan, face/body blush and pray hands is $1405..
I am HOPING that includes the outfit, but I doubt it lol
I don't see it listed but does anyone know his height ?

 

Black Pearl is on the same body as Ludwig which is 75cm tall. Outfit not included. Worth every penny if you can afford him.

 

Wow, what a spectacular doll! I definitely want to add him to my crew. I'm a little confused about the resin colors, though. The ones that are listed in the description on the sales page are White/Normal/Light tan/Tan, but the dropdown menu for buying the doll lists White/Normal/Real/Light tan. So is the doll in the promo pics Real, or is he Light Tan?

(So, no outfit - but does he come with the eyes and/or wig?)

@celga I was wondering the promo skintone as well.

 

The skin tone on the promo pictures should be light tan. I have Ahaz in the same skin @celga Real skin is lighter but I can ask Julia and find it out

Oh, thank you @Darkling! I won't be able to order this boy until June at the earliest, but he is so coming home. I love everything about him - what an amazing artist she is!! But...yikes, his body is huge - taller than Iple's EIDs and broader than Soom's IDs. Are there any clothes that fit them?

 

Well, dang, looks like I'm not getting Black Pearl because I can't afford to get the whole doll and they don't sell the head separately. I'm SO close to just grabbing Ludwig and selling him cos, yes I AM kinda blaming him for me not really "connecting" with him. He's taking up space that I could use better for another doll. I mean, he's great and all and very beautifully sculpted, a real work of art but I've been catching myself multiple times over the past few months wishing I hadn't "wasted" so much money on him. Now Black Pearl's out and I'm wishing I hadn't bought Ludwig (that I waited and saved for for SIX years) more than ever. But never mind, my reaction to Black Pearl would probably be the same once I got him. Seems like 1000+ bucks is just too much money for me to drop on a single doll ...

 

Did someone noticed that prices for him got adjusted?? I ordered him on saturday and prices were as follows:

white & normal now is: $1090
real skin $1190
tan skin $1210

NOW they are much cheaper!

 

So did they get adjusted again? Now with tan skin + faceup he is $1240.

 

I'm clueless ....I will wait until I have my order confirmation and see what price is on it then ..I even have the screencap from the old price. ODD!

 

LOL, now he's $1330.,,,and the first time I looked at him, he was under $1200. I guess I'll have to wait until the wheel of fortune stops spinning to decide if I can afford him! XD

 

I really don't know why it's constantly changing! I didn't paid THAT much for either Ludwig or Ahaz. I'm completely puzzled. I get that he's more with faceup and body blushing but what's the sense of changing the price a few times a day?

I looked and for me it's $1320 for light tan including faceup and body blushing @celga I'm going to ask Julia directly now. This is confusing

 

It is! Maybe she's having trouble deciding on the line between how much she feels the dolls are worth, and how much she feels people would be willing to pay. Please let us know what she says! ^^

Actually the price change because of the technical problems. When we update the doll information, the system default setting price as "whole doll" + "hand"+ "face up ". So it seem price influence, actually we had corrected this problem

white/normal: ＄65
real skin:＄75
light tan:＄85

extra Ludwig/Ahaz head:

I asked them how much for the outfit with the doll and all the reply said was "After you placed the order, please contact us. Then we will send you the bill of the full outfit"
Did anyone find out if he comes with that wig or eyes ? I forgot to ask lol

 

I have tried both iple HID and EID clothing, and the EID tops fit better. Pants are kind of iffy; HID pants are the right length but are baggy in a slightly unfashionable way, EID pants are body-con tight and ankle baring. At some point I'm just going to commission something custom from Freedom Teller.

 

I guess I just have really bad impulse control. I just ordered Black Pearl full doll with full makeup in tan and put it on paypal credit. Whatever happened to planning out my finances? Out the window, totally. I dance with joy as my wallet weeps.

 

@St. James Thanks for that! I have some EID shirts and a piratey sort of a leatherish coat, so I guess I'm off to a good start...but...of giant pants I have none. I love Freedom Teller, but I've always thought that their customization was pretty much limited to lengthening or shortening the arms and legs, rather than full tailoring. Will they actually adjust their clothing to spec??

have you spoken with darkling? she seems to have a particular gift in making pants for boys that are hard to clothe. i dunno if she takes commissions and i've been a little more than broke to ask right now but i've seen what she makes her own boys on IG and
she has 2 or 3 LLT boys so........unless she doesn't take commissions...in which case we shall have to continue weeping. i couldn't say...i just stalk her IG account.

O_o they wont give you just the price? i mean it would be nice to plan your finances before you commit....

I am also finding it very confusing! I emailed them regarding the cost of Black Pearl with face-up wig and full outfit but had no reply so I contacted them via facebook - I received this reply:

Hello, if you want to have face-up, outfit and shoes, you will need to add $400 USD. (But shoes are the normal one) Wig is not available. If you order a nude doll with all the items we listed above, we will also send you a pair of eyes for free. But this eyes color will not look the same as our pictures. It is a random pick.

I then asked them where I could buy the wig as it is not included, and they told me they had no idea.

So I went to order, and at the checkout stage I discovered that there was no shipping option to the UK
They told me they would contact me when they had fixed the problem....
And that's the story so far, I am still waiting to hear from them!

 

Oo, ditto, please! I don't understand if the faceup is part of the $400, or if that's just for the outfit.

 

I did not order the outfit. I do not think she usually sells clothes or wigs with her dolls. If I get time I can see if TerraZenith clothes fit on Ludwig's body as that would be the closest store bought I have for that size. But I will probably just sew for him myself. Or Iple HID size might fit.

 

hmmm don't think you can get the wig at all at this point.... or the pirate shoes

 

I don't know what size shoes he wears, but Iple has some pretty good pirate boots if his feet are similar to the EIDs/HIDs.

 

biggest feet i know of in the market are DS 28 M and DG titan....blue blood 80 cm shoes should fit this guy just fine too for more economical options if any one is looking. but i agree, IH would likely be the best bet for pirate boots. alternatively, again there are a number of artists that make them for decent prices. WhisperingGrassBJD on etsy (ira_scargeear on IG) made a black set i really liked some time ago. with to many awesome artists out there these days it shouldn't be difficult to pimp these guys up with a little patience ^^
what i meant was that i don't think LLT is offering the shoes and wig at all in this case.

 

Yeah, that's the impression that I got, too. I'm not really concerned about the boots or even the clothing...it's more the fact that I like the wig, and now I feel compelled to hunt for a straggly, piratey brown one, lol.

I was told that the boots are only ordinary boots (whatever that means!) not pirate boots ...
Dollmore have big boots for huge feet! Iplehouse have lovely pirate boots but they are too small, their largest size EID/HID is foot length 10.2, and our Black Pearl's feet are 10.5 (well you know what they say about men with big feet )

I believe he's not for sale at the moment? I noticed that there are no "add to cart" buttons on the page of sold out dolls, and that would explain the $999 price tag on the old site.
I can't remember if he's been discontinued forever or if it's just temporary, you might need to contact them to know.

@SDink ^ What they said. I think that currently only about six of the dolls are for sale...but I also think that the fact that the others are on the new site may be a good indicator that they will be available again at some point. It couldn't hurt to contact her and ask!

 

Lazuli as he currently is is sold out/being discontinued. A few months ago there was an announcement that Julia was having a final sale of him before she reworked his head. Here's the old notice, Limited Items - LLTDOLL - LAZULI head in Real Skin Release.

 

But it does imply there may be a new version released in future. The plot continues........

 

As I understood it from their FB, only Black Pearl, Ahaz and Ludwig are included in this sale.
Lazuli and Roderich will be reworked to fit the new body and re-released. Not sure tho.

 

Judging from looking at the Black Pearl sales page and comparing it to the Lazuli sales page I'd assume Lazuli isn't up for sale right now.

I have to say that I love the body. Since I really can't handle gigantic meaty blocks of doll, visually or physically, I am relieved that he's so beautiful. He doesn't have a lot of exotic flexion, but each joint is reliable and elegant.
