It's June at last!! I thought it would never get here. Orders from the end of August should start shipping soon! (I hope. That was one heck of a stressful order period, and now this annoying virus...) Can't wait to see my boy...can't wait to see everyone's boys!!

 

@celga I miss all of them too, but mail delivery is awful right now. I'm afraid we'll wait.. longer time

 

@ceza I'm sure you're right - shipping has basically resumed, but due to fewer flights, the cost has more than doubled, and delays at the incoming ports are awful. I wouldn't blame Julia for holding off just because of overpriced shipping. But we shall see...hope springs eternal, and at least we're getting closer!

 

@celga, none of us (Julia or customers) can do something with the situation. In any case It's better to wait more than lost the parcel.

 

It's June.... gosh this has been the longest few months because staying indoors has made me lose all sense of time but it also feels like every new day is more bad world news on the worst timeline...

I have had slow packages and I have one that is in limbo for no reason. Like the tracking number worked with absolutely nothing for a whole week, then it's literally accepted in my city a few days ago but then no movement since Thursday....

And I'm antsy trying to get a response from a customizer... it is driving me crazy because the dolls looked like 90% done so it's like so close and yet so far.

So godspeed and safe winds to the ballerinos whenever they get shipped.

I have been a bit stressed about my Neil shipping, to be honest. I have other packages in shipment limbo (already mailed but not moving) and much as I would love to have him now, I know it's safer to wait a bit and hope shipping clears up some. So I'm glad they have delayed them going out.

I actually made a flower crown just a couple of days ago. I had been thinking about making it for quite some time and finally decided I should do it already, hehe. It has floating butterflies. Such a pain to make.
I think I will save it for this doll. It matches a harness that I was making too so I guess there is a theme to start him off with. He's gone through so many ideas and he isn't even here yet...

 

DHL and FedEx are both operating at near normal delivery times.

 

Please forgive me for this question, but this delayed shipping notice applies only for those of you who ordered in 2019, correct? I was just a bit curious if those of us who ordered in 2020 were also supposed to receive the email. I thought I read from Julia that both sets of orders were going to be shipping at the same time, but now I'm wondering if I misread that. I'm in no rush as I've just placed the order, only curious

Sure, it's this



The wire band goes around the back of the head (under the hair) and the flowers rest on top of the head, with the butterflies trailing down the back of the hair.

The harness is pale pink elastic with gold rings and a gold butterfly on the chest. I found the butterfly sequins while I was cleaning and thought it might be nice to make them match, since I'd had the idea to make this flower crown. Hehe. We'll see how it looks or fits when he gets here, but it kept me entertained anyway.

Wow, it's really very beautiful, and so tiny! It must have been a real effort to make. Looking forward to seeing it with the harness! Do you have faceup and hair plans for him yet, or are you waiting to meet him? I haven't been able to settle on anything at all for my boy...except for a pair of high heel boots. Naked, faceless and bald, but with elegant footwear, lol. I keep waffling on his style from one day to the next...

I have a small pool of clothing that my Neil can try on, since he seems to share Venitu size clothes. He even has an outfit that I ordered just for him (currently in mail limbo). It's all black. Hehe, so not really in line with all the pink and butterflies?
I had made the harness on another doll, but the body got snatched by a different head who's character would never wear it, so it has been waiting for a proper candidate ever since.
Oh dear, I'm just letting the cat out of the bag on how disorganized I am when it comes to styling my dolls!

As for a wig, I have the Volks Rapunzel wig that I am itching to try on him!

And thank you so much! Hahahahahahahaha...I burned myself with hot glue so many times.

 

Oh I don't know, an all black outfit seems like the perfect backdrop for a splash of delicacy and color! I really like that sort of dichotomy. And OMG, I must see a boy wearing the Volks Rapunzel wig!! The thought never even crossed my mind, but that would be awesome! Julia's sculpts have the potential to be so flamboyant. I haven't even met him yet, but my guy is already telling me that bland is not the way to go...

 

The smaller hands and black pants for my Red Dove finally came in after a year of waiting. The shoes on the other hand, which weren't the shoes I originally wanted, but switched to because the other ones were holding things up, were still too big. Looks like he is going to continue being barefoot.

You are right! It would be a great contrast. Not sure if the actual components would allow me to show off the harness though, as it has sort of a cape/vest part.
I'll post a picture with the wig when he gets here! Hehe, I seem to be growing a collection of guys with very long hair.

 

I want some black formal shoes. But every thing is 8 cm and up. I just want some size 7s.

I second that emoji! Has anyone heard anything at all? There doesn't seem to be anything new on Julia's IG. The funny thing is, I was waiting on another doll who was shipped as soon as I paid him off, and he arrived three days later. Are the current restrictions so different in each country? My little guy came from France, and while their usual methods of postal shipping like EMS are dead in the water, she sent him by FedEx with no issues at all. I wonder if Julia has that option. I would certainly be willing to pay extra for the speed, dependability and safety....

Yes, the dolls and boxes (an earlier photo) were on her Insta stories.

Hm, I think there is certainly variance by country for mail. I was also able to receive a package from France even during the earlier pandemic mail limbo. But Russia, for example, has no movement on packages shipped to me in April. So it's hard to say.

Either way, it seems the dolls are getting prepped to depart on LLT's end.

I'm really regretting my decision to get normal skin instead of light tan, especially after seeing them all lined up. Next pre-order I guess! They're beautiful but I love the tan colors I can barely see.

 

I think I saw a few people asking to trade their light tan Roderich for a normal skin on Instagram recently. They shared those posts many times already, you can find them easily under the hashtag #bjdsale.

 

You are right! Unfortunately no one seems to have ordered the pointe feet I need those beautiful pointy feets! I am sure I will fall in love with him once he is here, it is just always funny that you want what you didn't order!

Hey guys! I’m in New Zealand and I got an email from LLT asking me for my phone number just six hours ago. I have a tan Roderich on order from 27 March (it was my birthday). Another local friend from the same order hasn’t gotten an email yet. She ordered Roderich in white.
