Haha, the boypink buff female body. I never wanted a buff body before, but when I saw it, I wanted it. But I have no idea when it will be finished, or even if it will be finished.

Halfway. I'm so excited!

I seem to have two pairs of eyes already waiting and an outfit set on order (it was listed as fitting Llt and Venitu? So we shall see how it works out! If they can share then I'll have more clothes than I thought.
...I suppose that means I assumed it wasn't for a past Llt body, but the size wasn't there before...? It will get used for someone in my group either way so I was totally willing to experiment! )

 

I just only got introduced to the Ballerino boys, and I am surprised I didn't know about them before even though I follow their maker on Instagram? Lol, way to go. I am very interested to know if there is any chance that a 5th motif head might fit the body proportion wise, as I do not really want more SD boys, but I do want that lovely body and I have two 5th motif boys that are both equally difficult and kicky. Though as it seems the Ballerinos have not shipped yet, it might be too early to ask questions? I know I would probably need to make a neck doughnut or something in any case, as 5th motif boys are known for long necks that go deep in the head.

I'm actually really excited to see how the Ballerino compares to 5th Motif as well! I will have both once my Ballerino arrives and can check for you, but as you say it will be a bit of time before they arrive from this order.

@Nata-eslava Thank you so much! They are indeed pretty similar in shape and size, so it might work. The only thing that makes me chicken is the fact that the neck indeed looks a lot shorter, which means it would not work without a modifier piece. I used to have other one of my boys on a hybrid body that had a short neck, and it was awful haha. Maybe in the future if LLT releases more heads, I am more into getting the full doll?

 

I am so excited to show my new Ballerino R. I compared 5th montif body with the ballerino body, its really similar in sizes. R can wear Venitu's clothes, shoes and wigs as well. In the pic below R is wearing Venitu's clothing.
I tried putting Venitu head (original color) on balerino body (normal color). The proportion of the new body and 5th montif body are similar however the neck of the new body is too short for Venitu.

I finally get a 2014 Roderich head (normal skin) from a pre-owner. I’m considering get him a body. Does anyone know would there be an observable color difference between the LLT old normal skin and the white skin Spirit doll proud?

I’d be grateful if anyone can answer me.

 

I decided yesterday to switch my Maggie (LLT Blue Magpie on Luts Senior Delf V1 body)
to brighter eyes. I’d had her with 14mm Gumdrops Wolf Gray and decided I’d like
her to have something a bit more intense. So I’ve tried her with new Dollbakery
14mm TieDye eyes - blue and green colors in one. I like how it brightened her face!

Maggie was painted by @Jay , who did her lovely manicure too! She’s wearing a
Monique wig - which I hope to replace with a black angora one soon - and a spring-like
dress that I made with silkessence fabric.

 

@Robyn_in_WA Intense is the right word! Maggie looks lovely with her new eyes. Blue Magpie is such a beautiful sculpt.

 

Why don't I get email updates for this thread?! @Robyn_in_WA your girl is darling, and those eyes are perfect for her. I really envy your sewing skills...such a pretty dress!

 

Does anyone know how to buy or find their demi-pointe feet? I still think about them a lot.

 

Secondhand market when people start getting orders after June or so if someone changes their dolly plans and sells, or waiting for when LLT does another round of ballerino body.

I had seen another person’s Blue Magpie some time ago and *loved* what she had
done, so I’d ordered my own head. I’m so pleased with how Jay painted her too.

Hello all! I stumbled upon someone's Roderich on instagram and fell in love. Does LLT often open for orders, or is it a rather scarce occurence? Looks like the last order was October so I wasn't sure if it was an annual thing or just random. Thank you!

 

@I<3MySD The last preorder ended on August 31st. It was supposed to be open until October, I think, but all of the dolls sold out in less than an hour. Julia predicted that the dolls would be shipped by June of this year, so I expect that she will open another preorder shortly after. Follow her IG, and just be prepared for the possibility of an insane click war. Or...you can keep your eye on the marketplace after this group starts coming in, because you never know if someone will not be happy with their doll. That goes double if the Roderich you fell in love with was the new OE version in NS, because she stated that she will not cast him again. (Although honestly, she could tweak the sculpt and call him a new new version, and start a brand new frenzy, lol)

 

Oh my, sounds like I might have my work cut out with me on the secondhand market! I will keep my eyes peeled there as well as Julia's instagram, thank you!

 

Actually I think that was the last order for the normal skin Roderick. I believe she said tan would be available this year. The last order period was in early September.

 

I think that's what I said, lol. Except the order period started and ended on August 31. It was nuts!

Julia posted on her instagram that she will open a new Ballerino pre-order on March 27th, for another batch of 100 dolls. She writes:

As excited as I am for anyone waiting to order, but does that mean she starts a new order while the dolls from last year's pre-order are still in production at her casting service, and that new order is planned for shipping at the same time the first pre-order is? Because this says 50-70 working days, meaning 10-14 weeks, while she confirmed again that the first pre-order from August 31st 2019 should be due for shipping in "June or July", but could be delayed by Corona. How is this even supposed to work, I wonder? I am confused, I am sure I read this wrong?

 

Julia is starting another Ballerino pre-order on the 27th. And the delivery of the last one is delayed. Looks like I have to resist that ballerino body again. The fact that I can't find a smiley tan or potentially colormatched face I like helps send me suggestions no don't. I'll put up Ji-han with his new face on my new camera instead. Alas, I could not find my gloss, so I'll have to touch him up later.

I got an e-mail asking if I want the jointed hands and I'm like sdjkyghjdhfgjkghvdjk I am tempted but I am also like.... this is not a good time for me.

Got all my work hours cut for two weeks and the recent shelter in place order looks like it'll extend it even more. While I won't die if I spend the money, I wouldn't really feel great about spending money... and it's not a good idea to get something that makes me feel kind of guilty.

Fingers crossed for the secondary market, I guess!

 

@Mandagore These are some things that I understood from Julia's comments on that post:

• This pre-order will only start shipping 50 - 70 working days after the autumn orders have shipped in Jun/Jul barring any delays from the virus situation
• Only Roderich, Neil and Lazuli are available in this pre-order
• Normal and White skin OE Roderich will not be available anymore as they are limited
• The different tanned versions of OE Roderich will only be available for pre-order again sometime next year but she does not know when yet
• Isidore will not be released anymore due to recasting ().

I hope that answers everyone's questions! I also hope I interpreted them right...

There goes my hope in getting an Isidore... aaahhhh!!! RECASTERS!

 

I woke up this morning and saw her news! I was so excited that I might be able to get an OE tan R, but he will only be available next year. I guess I need to wait more patiently.

 

I really want to order a roderich from this batch with the gloves hands. I hope they aren’t too expensive lol. They look lovely. Considering which feet I would want as well.

 

I assume the price will be the same as shown on the website now. tan skin will be more expensive.

 

Well well well, it's my lucky day! Turns out I'll have a chance sooner than I thought. Not going to hold my breath though, I feel they may sell out faster than I'm able to craft an email!

That is the plan! Working from home so I have no excuse not to be ready at my computer haha. I just lost out on a Volks lottery but maybe it was meant to be so I can try for a Roderich!

I requested a NS Roderich with a pair of pointe feet. Those jointed hands really tempted me but I honestly think I'll just be leaving him in the ballet leotard to accentuate his body, and I feel the hands didn't really "go". They are so gorgeous though!

 

Congrats! She replied so quickly even the order is still open!

 

That's so sad I really love this sculpt but it seems there is no chance to get it.

Congrats to everyone who has received order confirmation on these beautiful dolls! Mine isn't so thrilling, but I did get an okay on ordering a pair of demi pointe feet for my incoming Roderich from the last preorder, so I'm happy. I would love a pair of those glove hands, too, but now is probably not the best time for me to be spending extra money.

I think it was really smart of her to handle the ordering through email, and to only give a few days of advanced warning. It completely avoids the insane click war and the ensuing resentment that some people felt last time.

I know the order opened in China last year also resulted in a war. This year she opened overseas first. I am really interested to know her coming opening in China. She promised this time that she will hand pick buyers to avoid recast as much as possible. I totally support her to do so.

 

I agree. I think it's just tragic that Isidore met that fate - he's a gorgeous sculpt, and I would have liked to own one someday.

 

I'm so bummed about Isidore too because I was hoping to get him next.

But I also fully understand and support Julia's decision. It must be so heartbreaking for something like that to happen. Ugh...

Now that I have two LLT guys, I'm starting to consider the possibility of a girl next (which is actually really saying something, since I only have two big girls in the sea of big boys that dominate my collection). I'm already floored by Julia's sneak peek of the body that she's currently working on...just gorgeous.

 

I just received and paid my invoice for my Roderich! I can't believe I have done that haha. This is my first more "realistic" looking doll. I am not sure how he will fit in with my others but he is so lovely I just don't care!

Congratulations to those who had luck to order the new LLT boys! I am thinking of ordering the LLT gloved hands, would suit my characters well.
The recent photo of my Lazuli (name's Armi) belongs to february 2020. I think I never showed him here in this newer "beaten" faceup that I had refreshed last year.

 

Wow now it's May 2020. Waiting for the ballerino has turned into a very strange passage of time.
