I finally painted my Edria head that I picked up several months back! I've decided on a Spiritdoll Proud body for her, but it'll be a while before I can buy it. Here she has stolen my BeYours body--pretty good color match, but a little small for her huge noggin, methinks.

As you mentioned the skin color not matching well with Spiritdoll, may I ask if you have ns or ws?
I wanted a Spiritdoll Elegance body for my Edira boy, who has normal skin. so that kind of information would be a great aid.

@Raesha: That's a very fine and detailed face-up your lady has. I adore the little hairs on her eyebrows and lashes. Also the freckles turned out really well Very great job!

@Anastezia: That must be the first red-haired Edira I've seen. Very lovely

I can finally share my girl as well, as her body finally arrived today.
Her name's Maegan and she's the older twin of my Edria twins. (Her younger brother has no body at this point, so no pics of him yet.)

Note: I put her on a well-yellowed SID body. In case anyone was considering this kind of hybrid, let me warn you that a new NS will NOT match with a new head (I got my Edria at the end of last year and the resin is definitly different than from two years ago, according to my friend who had a Roderrick). Also if you want to put Edria on a SID body, you will have to heavily sand the neck, as it is usually too thick.
I actually think I'll sand down some more than I already did, for a better fit, but for now...
Can't wait to get around either getting or making her her own clothes. These are borrowed and the only ones that fit ^^°

(Face-up was made by my friend, Sadomina She also did Izan, the other twin -^^-)

Welp. Joining the thread for edria! Would the little edria head be too small for the dt18 since the head is slightly smaller than the original?

 

I agree! She's beautiful! You did a gorgeous job on her faceup. I love Edria on the Spiritdoll Proud body. Is yours on version 1 or 2? I tried mine on a BeYours body as well and found the same as you--nice resin match but the head is a bit too big for the body proportionally.

I thought I'd add to the head/body subject for Edria. I admit, I'm completely obsessed with Edria! It was love at first sight for me. She's such a gorgeous and versatile sculpt.

Anyway, these are the bodies (all female) I've used and like with Edria head:

Normal skin Edria (early batch) on original Granado NS body, also works with Granado new version body. Haven't tried the Maiden body.

Normal skin Edria on Spiritdoll Proud v. 1 NS body.

White skin Edria on Spiritdoll Proud v. 1 WS body.

White skin Edria on "Normal White" Dikadoll body. This is a great resin match, near perfect. The Dikadoll body stands like a rock but I didn't like the hands so replaced with Dollstown 13 hands in Freshskin. Dikadoll has two white skins--one is an almost perfect match with Dollstown Freshskin, this is the Dikadoll "normal white. The other Dikadoll body white is a stark white. This Dikadoll body is also a great alternate body for Dollstown heads.

Doll Family A body--the "normal yellow" oddly enough is a great resin match for Edria white skin. This is a very pretty and graceful body. The head might be a teeny bit on the large size, but I prefer that to a pin head. About the height of a Supergem body. A neck adjustment is needed to have Edria's head sit a little higher. I just put layers of hot melt glue. Easy!

I decided to try a very natural, freckled look on my NS dreaming eye Edria. I just wanted to practice painting techniques.

Of all these heads/bodies mixing and matching I like Edria best on the Spiritdoll v. 1 Proud body.

Yes, I really think the head would look crazy small on the DT18 body. I've seen both in person and don't recommend that combination. Maybe a better fit with the new DT13 body?

Just a warning, even regular Edria looks waaaaaay too small on the DT 18yrs body. Even Roderich, who has a slightly bigger head, looks pin-headed on it, and I prefer small heads. You could try to mod it, but it really doesn't work right out of the box.

I have a boy on the Ariadoll 18yrs body, which is the same size as a Volks SD17 (and much smaller than the DT body) and he still has a pretty small head. (Also, love spamming my boy!)

 

I'm thinking about getting an Edria head. Does anyone have pictures of her on a Loongsoul girl 63cm if not then at least the 58cm body? I heard the resin match is pretty good and I already have a couple Loongsoul dolls in my collection.

I put my Edria OE on switch HD65 body too( which is modified from Ariadoll body)



His neck is a bit long but I think it's fine if I give him another wig.

 

I got my head in the mail a few weeks ago! She's so pretty even without a faceup. Now I have to decide what body to use with her, which is the hardest but best part about making a hybrid. I want something curvy but elegant, but there's so many options...

 

I wanted to share my beautiful Giselle (Edria open eye) with her crochet shawl.
I made her shawl using crochet thread in "Monet multi" color. Having just learned
to crochet, I can't read a pattern yet, so I just made this up as I went. I plan to
put a little fringe on the ends.

Giselle is on an older Iplehouse SID body in normal resin. I bought her head in
the Marketplace and she was painted by her original owner, with some small changes
to the facepaint by me. Her eyes are Gumdrops 14mm, her wig is an older Jpop
LeedaLong in SunSun which I thinned. Her hands have been beautifully blushed
by Jay Searle. Outfit by Iplehouse, ruby chip silver ring by Luts years ago, and
necklace by Facets.

 

Here's my Sofie on Twigling Ingenue body. Originally, her head was too pink, but it has mellowed nicely.

My Dollstown17 gal's body in freshskin just arrived today (ordered in September) and my
NS Edria head fits perfectly on the body - as I had so hoped!!! The proportions are just what
I had been dreaming of. She is as yet unpainted, but tomorrow I will get some photos to
share of my wonderful new gal! Cannot wait to start sewing for this incredible body too!!

 

OK - finally got to the computer and downloaded my photos. Here is a photo of my
LLdT Edria head in NS on the newly arrived Dollstown17 gal body in fresh skin.
The proportions look pretty perfect to me - and I am quite delighted with her.
The gown she is wearing is an SID size - and I now know how I will change the
pattern so that it fits this gorgeous slinky body perfectly.

My Giselle (photos a bit above) suits her modified Iplehouse SID body quite well too
and I love how she looks, but this Dollstown 17 body - with it's slender grace - just
seems a perfect choice for this gorgeous feminine head!! Thanks!

 

@Robyn_in_WA, I have an Edria-boy (**), but it seems to me my next doll would be his twin sister with such gorgeous body

 

I made my Sophie (lLdT Edria on Dollstown17 body) a heavy weight velvet medieval gown
in a luscious cream crushed fabric. The pattern was modded from my SID pattern to fit
my Sophie better in the torso as ahe is more slender, ballerina like tha the SID body.
I have also worked up some chiffon drapes, but no photos of that yet, as Sophie's head &
hands are away (being painted). Photos when she returns!

I cannot believe my good fortune to have three beautiful Edria gals.
This is one of my most favorite sculpts! So gorgeous and feminine!!
Two of my Edria gals are on the new willowy Dollstown 17 body - the
two on the right. My newest Edria is on an older Iplehouse SID body.

Sophie, normal skin - on the right, was painted by Jay Searle.
Giselle, white skin - in the middle, was purchased as painted from the
DoA marketplace.
Jasmine, normal skin - on the left, has a temporary face paint by me.
All three have 14mm Gumdrops urethane eyes.

I've been trying to get a half open eyed Edria for a while now. I have a PS Granado body that was a great match for the old Llt NS but naturally as soon as I got the body they changed resin colour. I've been trying to get one second hand with no luck, but now I see there is a batch of open eyed Edrias in rose pink resin... what do people think?

Has anyone got an Edria recently in NS who could describe the colour to me? I don't have much experience with (successful) resin matching, but I'm thinking that a pinker head might look better than a yellower head. A slightly flushed look? I think I might be willing to compromise on the eye shape to get a better resin match.

I 've got Edria on Granado body. The head is in old normal and it was a huge difference in skintones with Granado's pink normal. I think now if LLT's normal skintone became pinker it emproved color matching a lot.

 

Does anyone have their Edria on a thinner boy body? Or have a skinnier boy body and an Edria head they could share? I'm looking for a body that's a thinner and less muscled for the Edria head I ordered. Thanks!

 

@Sleeping Dead How thin are you thinking? Here's a picture of my Edria head on a Volks SDGr boy body, which is on the lean side. Edria comp

 

@Cloudedmind thank you, that helps! I've been trying to determine how narrow the shoulders can be before the head looks funny on the body.

 

@Sleeping Dead Unfortunately, I don't remember offhand what the shoulder measurements are for the SDGrB body, and it's not listed on the Wiki page. Both DollZone and Loongsoul Doll also make slim boy bodies in the same height range as the SDGrB body, 62/63cm. www.doll-zone.com, B-B62-02 boy body only LoongSoul 1/3 super dollfie sd13 size bjd 60cm | eBay

 

@Cloudedmind those are actually the exact bodies I'm considering at the moment. I love the DZ body, but I'm worried the shoulders might be too narrow (11cm) since Edria is larger than the DZ heads. And I'm not sure about the resin match for LLT's white and LoongSoul.

 

Is Julia discontinuing Edria? I haven't been paying attention to her social media accounts lately, and just noticed that Edria appears to be sold out on her site.

 

The rose pink is sold out but that was a limited color. Looking further, I guess they are all sold out.

The curvy nature of the NYid body suits her character so well ♥ ( i just wish it posed better >>)
