Kyoto Dolpa 8 (March 13, 2011)

Should be interesting to see how many paid for tickets who won't be able to go... I am sort of surprised it wasn't canceled either.

Volks announced that Sendai Dolpa will be happening, and that the Huis Ten Bosch limited item is SDGr girl Alice.

It should have been announced somewhere in the guidebook but no one has posted any of the dates online here so far. I really would like a chance at some of the clothing from this one.

 

I want to take a look at the clothing from this one too again...but can't find it. I must have clicked on a hunderd things on the Volks Japan site and can't seem to get at it. Do we have it on here somewhere. I was looking through the thread but there are soo many pages!!!! O__O!

Kerbey Lane's announcements got delayed... but I am worried because I don't know whether to enter the Volks lottery or wait a few days. I don't want to have a pending transaction on my card, then find out I (HOPEFULLY) won from Kerbey Lane and not have enough to pay the deposit. What should I do?? Help

I'm having the same conundrum here. I'm gonna give it another day or so before I worry about it though . . . I'd imagine that Volks will get those confirmations out to the dealers soon. Of course, the delay is perfectly understandable! But since the Dolpa went on as planned it stands to reason that Volks will wrap up such loose ends as this shortly. *crosses fingers*

Hosono blog put up One-off pics again. This guy's awesome. He spent the night in his office, apparently, then braved the Shinkansen to get down to Kyoto the next day, and took as many pics as he could for everybody who couldn't go.

A K. Mayura Colin. I think I just died a little inside. Nyaa~ And that Williams really is the most amazingly snotty-looking Williams I've ever seen. Love the Eden, and really love the fact that there are a couple of Valico creations in there, as she's really not been producing much at all for a while. Actually, that Suigintou is lovely as well, and that Miruku absolutely adorable.

Got this email last night and thought I'd post it in case anyone who entered the KL lottery got it stuck in their spam folder:

Due to the earthquake in Japan and heavy workload on the part of Volks, I am going to treat the Kyoto 8 lottery a little different. As of today I have still not received confirmations and not sure how soon I will.

I suggest you enter the Volks lottery as a back-up so if you cannot get a doll with Kerbey Lane Doll Shoppe you have the possibility of winning the Volks lottery. If you enter the Volks lottery Volks will put a hold on your credit card for the amount. But once confirmations are received and you do win a doll with Kerbey Lane I will give Volks your name and Volks will remove you from their lottery sheet. You will not get a doll from both Volks and Kerbey Lane.

My apology for this but I would feel awful if anyone missed a chance for their doll so just in case our confirmations come after March 16 you will still have the opportunity to win your requested items. I am hoping that confirmations will come Monday.

 

Can I ask a silly question?
I'm searching on yahoo for Unas but I can't find any. Was she sold at this even in the end? Were all the 150 pieces ready there or volks will ship them to the winners in the next months? Just wondering! I'd also love to see pictures of her. I saw the YOSD...Nono is supercute and Kira is so nice! But Una? Where's her?

Good luck Tetradeka and everyone else in the same boat as us! This seems like a rather, hmm, "quiet" Dolpa thread, I guess there weren't any really popular dolls this time? It sure would be neat to know which dolls were popular at the Dolpa and if they sold out fast or not. ^^

 

I've put in for Gretel and am all out of fingernails at this point. I'm down to gnawing knuckles.

 

That's my thoughts, Dolly, it did seem to be pretty quiet (though given the recent events I'm not at all surprised) but no one had really said what they were putting in for so I thought I'd ask.

I've put in for Gretel myself, she really is rather cute... but since I don't have any minis she's going to be very expensive (not like she can share clothes with someone else until she gets her own.) ~_~

 

I put in for Beatrice. *crosses fingers* She'll be my first Dollfie Dream if I win her.

 

Still no confirmations but have been asssured they will arrive asap. Am certain they will so a little more patience please!
