Kyoto Dolpa 8 (March 13, 2011)

I love the theme of this new Dolpa, it's too cute! Can't wait for the guidebook to be released.

Oh dear. This is going to end up being adorable and expensive isn't it? I am loving the theme so far though! I can't wait to see the limited releases!

 

Fingers are crossed for an SDC pair. Surely it's time?

 

Yes, I think an adorable SDC brother-and-sister act would be wonderful! They would look great in Hansel/Gretel drag.
Hasn't been any SDCs released since Ryu, has there?

I am also curious about the impending SDGr girl, would love to get a look at her. She's about due for her debut soon! Those sylphlike Graffiti boys will enjoy finally having sisters/girlfriends of similar build (in a fair wrestling-match, I think any SD13 girl could pin my Ryoya in 2 rounds or less).

 

I'm very excited about the Hansel & Gretel theme and I'm also hoping for MSD or SDC size!

 

SDC Sora and Toki came out after Ryu, but it's still been two years. And I think that size would be the best choice for Hansel and Gretel, although of course YoSDs on that theme would be darned cute, too!

Heh, SD13 girls are pretty tough. My SD13 girl looks like she could take her SD10 boy buddy any day . . .

But I am really excited to see the SDGr girl body.

 

I really think that they are going to be YoSDs but if they are going to be MSD's that would be really really cool to see what they have done with them. For some reason when I think of Hansel & Gretel I think of the twins from Black Lagoon I really don't know why...

 

Yeah, I'm thinking Hansel & Gretel will likely be SDCs. But you never know when it comes to Volks. And it sounds like the witch would be a great debut for the SDGr girl. ^_^ What adult male parts are there in Hansel & Gretel? I can't remember.

I am thinking Yos since they are so often released in pairs, but it is time for some minis! I just adore the theme so far. I hope there are some sweet outfits to match this sweet theme Of course, there are a couple SD girls I would really like to see re-released...*sigh* someday....

 

Oh right, Sora & Toki! ... Still, I don't think one can ever have too many SDCs. They're a very cute size & general aspect for half-grown tween kids, just the right age for witch-burnin' adventures.

Only the witch is a grownup-- and the hapless/horrible parents who send their kids off to die in the woods because they can no longer afford to feed them. ;;^^

I might like to see a Garnet-witch, because that girl is capable of looking some kinda mean.

It wouldn't hurt my feelings one bit if they released another SDC boy . Mostly because I'm considering replacing my MNF boy's body with an SDC body . . .

Actually, they could make a pretty adorable pair of SD10s take the role, too. I sense frilly clothes and short pants regardless.

 

The theme is so cute! I love it I can't wait to see what the releases are, I'm hoping it's something I want/like I might have money to spend!

 

In the Brothers Grimm Tall it was the evil step mother who wanted to leave Hansel and Gretel to have more food for herself. Their father didn't want to do it because he loved his children one more thing is the witch was only going to eat Hansel first making Gretel fatten up her brother with sweets. But when she went to cook him Gretel pushed her in the oven went into the house and found pearls and jewels. Then they ran home to there father and learned their stepmother had died.

On another note I think having Garnet as the witch would be pretty sweet!!!

 

I don't know if it's too soon for a rerelease, but if they went the Yo route, I think Remi and Colin would make such a cute Hansel and Gretel. Their dreamy look always reminds me of fairytales!

Though I would not complain for an adorable SDC gal.. Just as long as they don't release Pearl for SD16.. I'm golden

 

I think pair of SD10 will be hansel and Gretel and I'm so hoping for a Michele twins and SDGr girl Luna as the witch

Omg if this is Mori-girl/boy based I'm so screwed where outfits are concerned XD I love the Mori style so much !!

 

I think they will release NEW molds for the fairy tails, most of the past ones have been new molds. The SD16 Iris last time, and new Yos for Alice in Wonderland.

I would guess that 2 new Yos or SDC + SD16 girl witch as they have kept their pairings to be about that in the past. I think the SDGr girl will be a seperate release at a Tokyo Dolpa.

So far no SDC has yet to tempt me but that doesn't mean I can't be swayed.....

 

Mid March is too early for Cherry Blossoms. Year after year, my dreams of Kyoto cherry blossoms remains an illusion, for some reason, I am not able to make it again this year unless I want to travel alone. Even so, I will miss the dolpa because mid March is too early for Cherry blossoms. I have no intentions of acquiring any doll but attending dolpa during cherry bloom would be so lovely.

 

i am definately going, looks like a candyland cutesy theme XD

hopefully i won;t be tempted by the candy offerings XD

 

This theme is so cute, I love it! Here's hoping for a pretty DD Sister, or maybe finally an SDGr girl or at least an SD13 girl (SD16's are beautiful, but enough for now! lol). I get the feeling that the clothes will be particularly tempting this time around though. xD

I pray for no Luna or Yo four sisters because I just bought Little Alice and Liseslotte and I cannot imagine how I can persuade the hubby to let me buy yet another doll when I promised I would not until at least Xmas time.
I also love something Volks puts out, I am hoping to just sit back and drool but not buy this time.
My only two wants are Luna and yo four sisters so they just cannot come yet.

 

I would die (of dread or happiness I don't know...) if they re-released a Luna and/or Yo 4 sisters too!

 

If they re-released Luna I would also die of happiness XD I'm sure a lot of people would Lol and Tsukidoll my fiancee would kill me.. I already have two dolls that should be showing up in March around the same time so he would probably be all >_<

 

I'm so happy I didn't decide to go on my Japan trip in Mar... O.O I'll wait for the Winter DP... Hopefully they won't release something I want in this one or at the DP25. >.> If they release only YoSD, MSD, or SDC... I'm safe. ^^

Well, I haven't been able to afford any new kids for a long while now, but there ARE a couple of holes in my collection I would sell stuff to fill. I need a Piccolo OE YOSD, and I just ADORE the SDC Boys. I have Toki. Arashi, and Ryu are at the top of my Dream List. Any idea how long it will be before the dreaded pictures are released?

 

gothiclibrarian - I think I'm going to be dreaming right next to you. Since the Lieselotte release, I have been in love with Volks WS. I love their SD16s, so I hope there'll be a pretty witch released soon!

 

They are my favorite molds, along with Lieselotte who is already home My hubby knows if it is Luna he has to let me get her, although I really shouldn't but no way would I pass up that opportunity.
Can you image a Yo Luna? I would just die!!

 

Do not even say Yo Luna!! I would have to have one I have a secret wish on who I want to be re-released, but I do not like to say it out loud because I do not want to jinx it!

Hi! I'm new to Volks and they way they sell their Limited items. Are the Limited Items for the upcoming event only available to those who attend the event or are they going to be available for purchase to International people?

My birthday is March 25th and our wedding anniversary in April so if any form of Luna and Yo 4 sisters appear then I'm going to be hounding my husband for a really nice birthday/ anniversary gift !

 

Since the dolls have not been announced, we do not know what will be available where. Very often they are available via a lottery system (entering to win the right to buy) to international customers, but there are dolls that are not. For more up-to-date info, please read the most recent post in the thread ^_^ As always, Volks will say on their web pages when and what dolls will be available before the dolpa.

ohmondieujetaime - Honestly, I feel the same as you! I reallllly hope there is no new mold I love. I am finally giving in and saving for a Nono, who I've resisted for years.. So I hope this Dolpa doesn't attract me too much..

At least, maybe if there are cool clothes, I'd be able to scrape up enough money to buy some of those, but I think unless I give up on Charlotte (which I won't) another doll is very unlikely at this time.

 

A SD size. I hope to save up and get her before she sells out from Volks, since they discontinued her. For some reason, I want a Nono instead of a F07 XD But YoSD Nono's are SO fricken cute.. I love Show girls though for YoSD size. Yo's are too addicting.. I swear I'm trying to quit!

True! Plus clothes don't come to the USA.. Forever. I am still wanting some of those gothic and winter wear sets from one of the last Dolpas. I say save towards Charlotte. She's sort of HTF, so I kind of imagine it getting worse!

 

Not at all. Wanting LEs you can't get is kinda rough . Dolpa threads are always full of people saying: Please Volks, don't release anything I want, I can't take it right now! *L*

And Charlotte's a worthy goal. If I were ever to get a sweet-faced SD girl, she's absolutely top of the list for me.

 

myownlittleworld- I can spreak only for the international after event lottery on the volks.co.jp site ( it is for all the non-US customers) and as far as I´m concerned the limited models from the Dolpa where all availible last year. But the one-off limited models- they are event-exclusive, so you can only buy them as an attendant to the Dolpa.

Right now you can still get Ayumu & Tanpopo and Daria from Dolpa24 through volks.co.jp ^-^

I will be looking forward to thi Dolpa if my doll sells, but I dread it too. I hope they release all the sizes I don't like and I don't like the molds! Here's to SDC and SD16s in beauty white that I don't want! Last years Alice in Wonderland Yos just about killed me! I DO NOT need more Yos!

OMGosh, I really want (but don't want) them to release Kanon And Neon. I would have to try for them and kill my savings since I was able to get my hands on this last Dolpa's Williams...but I have been dying for these little guys for so so so long.

I feel like Volks really needs some nice MSDs. Not SDCs, they already have several cute SDCs, but I feel like they don't have many adorable MSD girls... I mean, they put out all these special SDG, SD16, YoSD and SD13 girls, but not really any MSDs... and lately I've been really into MSDs .

Working on my taxes now and I'm just way too excited, I'll be getting enough back to get a doll from the Dolpha if they release someone that I want Come one Volks!

 

Hip hip hooray for tax returns, audiencekiller! That's the only reason I'm able to pay off my SDC Kaede and get a SDG Charlotte.. but after my husband gets through with his purchases, there's not enough left over for a Dolpa doll...

 

Thank you guys so much for the info! I have recently started with the Volks dolls....a lot of my other girls have gotten the boot to fund new ones! LOL I have a Yo Papi, a MSD Sakura and a SD Sara but haven't done the lottery yet. I saw the Tanpopo on the US site but the upcomig theme sounds really cute! I'll keep watching!!!!!!!
