Sometimes waiting is all that can be done, so wait patiently I shall. (hey, I can climb the walls patiently! )

So I see some folks have put in for Gretel and Beatrice. . . Hansel and MDD Kudo, anyone? Kudo was soooo hard to resist, that face of hers is simply precious. But alas my budget only allows me to try for one (as I'm sure many of you will commiserate with me here, lol).

Dolly - I put in for Kudo. Couldn't resist. If I were independently wealthy I would have put in for Beatrice too. I loved the way she looked styled differently in the white dress.

Congrats Everyone. Did anyone try for a Hansel? I love this boy but was between other doll payments so couldn't enter the lottery. Sadly it seems he was not super popular but maybe that means there will be some available as after event or I can find someone who can do a short layaway.

I just went back and read the rules. It says "around" March 23rd.

Do my nerves get any tighter? We'll see!

 

I was at Volks a few days ago and they said "sometime this week", and pointed out that it won't necessarily be before the 23rd. So I'm not gonna freak out yet.

 

I don't think anyone thought that it would be before the 23rd, but considering that yesterday -was- the 23rd, I would say that people are a little anxious to hear news.

 

I finally went to bed and got up this morning expecting Santa to have left something for me in my email. But not only wasn't there a message of congratualtions from Volks, there was a fur ball on my keyboard >.<

I misread stuff here and thought I lost her yesterday so I was pretty sad about that, but just got confirmation on my Noumi a little bit ago ! I'm so so happy about it, my bf called and told me because my computer wasn't working which was really bringing me down (computer replacements.. ughnn). The news really lifted my spirits.

I won Kuda she will be my second Dollfie but my first event DD. I haven't been able to afford any new girls for awhile so I am very excited to get her. I am going to get my hubby to help me start sewing goodies for her this weekend.

I've read somewhere that other people of the waiting list get a chance if someone cancels the order.
Is it allowed to join the lottery for two dolls but with the intention of buying just one of them? (In case of winning both)

The entries are splitted but I don't know if they would cancel parts of it.

 

How long do you usually have to pay for the item if you win it? I've never entered an even like this, but am curious for next time.

 

If you enter the Volks USA lottery, you give them your credit card number right when you enter so they have it on hand so that they can charge you at their convenience. My e-mail from Volks indicated they'd start processing payments on 4/1, so about a week after winners were notified.

This also means that you can't cancel your order by simply not paying for it -- they already have all your payment information and, by entering the lottery, you've already given them permission to charge your card in case you win. From the Volks page:

I did once ask if Volks could cancel an order due to some special circumstances (I made it very clear that it was only a request and I was still willing to pay if the cancellation was not possible), and they said they'd do it as a one-time favor but never again. I have won since then, but I had also won and paid for lotteries prior to that (and placed many non-lottery orders with them), so I had already established a history as a good customer.

 

Ohh. Does the after event work the same if you enter that lotto then? Sorry for newb questions XD I read the payment section there but it didn't say how long it'd be.

Ok, then I'll try my luck just with this one. I really thought cancellations would be no problem for the International Lottery because you'll not be charged automatically...

This is only in the US lottery. In the international lottery you don't have to pay with credit card. (Great for the people who have no credit card x3)

 

You have a week for make the payment, you recived a e-mail whit a link for make the payment, i always payd whit paypal is more easy. I entered a loteri whit a gretel, i hope i win.

I'm looking forward to pics of her as well, since I won't be seeing my own for quite some time. I can't wait to see her with her hair down, I've got this real feeling that she'll look great with a longer wig.

I'm actually a little curious about where photos will be as well. I've seen them here and in the DD thread for other releases. I'm really expecting the largest influx of images to come through figure.fm and the Japanese bloggers, though.
