By the time there were two left on the table, I go to grab them only to have someone swipe them both out from under my hand.
I was able to get that cute Mille-feuille dress though.

Didn't Bailey say that they only got some of the shipment and would get the rest later on?

I had a great time yesterday too! It was much more like a party/meet-up than I expected it to be. I ended up getting exactly what I wanted (I know how lucky I am) - the Nocturnal Crow and White Lily outfits, and the white high heels. My ResinBabies love their new clothes!

I heard about that mad dash for the clips (O_O) I think that's why Bailey announced "Only 1 per person" line. I did the "grab what I can and then put back what I don't want" sort of thing.

 

I really want the natural dress set... and the boots.
Although I got one "kinda want" dress set(the cocktail dress), but I was so sad that I decide not buy any thing.

Did you visit the Volks store this weekend already? Did you see if the had anything left from the sale, since I saw a few Black Cocktail Dresses for sale at the end of the mad rush?

Also, the new shipment and restock of Dollheart outfits arrived at the Elfdoll store last week on Tuesday. Many outfits were already bought by the time I arrived, but Ms Cholong still had about 2 boys outfits and 3 girls outfits left from Dollheart. She is a great help to customers, and I may be there tomorrow as well to pick up my Pewter Fer!

 

Oh my this makes me scared,do they fit MSD?

 

The BTSSB shoes I sold were really meant to be worn by MSD dolls and NOT by SDs. Some people over here just experimented by having their SD dolls wear the shoes.

They are really made for MSD feet so they'd fit the MSDs better.

actually I find that they are quite large on MSD, I think they make my girl look a bit Duck footed. But that also may be because I'm used to seeing my girl bare foot.

 

No, I did not go to the Volks store since all my friend are busy, I have no one to take me.
I tried to buy it online, but I think I compete with too many people.
I was plaining to go to the showroom today, but I think the showroom is not open today....I call them but no one answer ==a
Oh well, maybe I have to wait after I finals end....Ms. Cholong is truly helpful and friendly, I was really enjoy when I stay there.

 

Darn... I was away, so I missed out on the MSD BTSSB shoes. But That's ok! There will be other cute shoes in the future!!

Puremilktea, I hope that the Artmaze Elfdoll Showroom is open today, since Ms Cholong told me to pick up my outfit today. Im hoping that theyre just open late and that she didnt forget its a holiday.

Bouh, so sad the BTSSB pins sold out so fast. I missed the beginning of the website sale by a few hours (3 hours or so) and it was sold out. The wig I wanted was also sold out. Oh well....

As for the MSD BTSSB shoes, they do seem a bit bigger than usual MSD shoes, since they fid my DDs feet perfectly. I initially planned to make my MDD wear it but they were just too big for them. And usually MSD and MDD can share some Volks shoes.

 

I've never been to the Torrance store (yet!!)... so I have to ask... with such limited stock on such desirable items, how do people get the stuff they want politely? It does seem like it could turn into a snatch-grab situation o_o;... is there a line or something O: ?

 

Turynn, there usually is a line that starts at the door of the store. And with such limited number of items, it is a first come first serve basis where people enter the store single file up to the second floor where the area is much more open and you snatch-grab what you came for. People near the end of the line will have less of a selection to snatch-grab from.

 

aha! so Volks does restock the Sailor uniforms. i was led to believe that they didn't restock.

 

They really don't restock dolpa items I think Dolly means she has other school uniforms, either from other companies or different Volks ones from previous times. On some ocasions I have seen similar sets released but not the same ones.

 

Volks does not restock Dolpa items. But sometimes the items arrive in two shipments so you may or may not get lucky if something sells out.

Has anyone received a doll that they got the extra Sato-gaeri services yet? I was hoping to have my Yo-SDB Neon before the NY Dolpa 3. I guess I shouldn't have ordered the extra services if I wanted him sooner. *sigh* Oh well.

 

my Okita with full Sato arrived on 5/16 at the Volks store. they originally promised him for June but he came early.

 

alanna214: My Okita had sanding and sueding and showed up in the mail 5/21. He was very early, too. Usually, I wouldn't see a sanded/sueded doll for at least an extra two weeks.

 

Oh boy... This isn't making me feel all warm & fuzzy... Well, I emailed Volks again today (2nd email concerning my boy's status), so I hope I'll hear from them soon. I hope I get him soon.

For the record, I just ordered a White Lily dress and matching strappy shoes.

I don't know if this is second stock or canceled orders leaving leftovers, though. Or maybe they just never got sold?

 

The White Lily Dress wasn't one of those popular outfits. There were some leftover for a couple weeks during the international AE... So I'm not surprised.

 

Midori: Surprising, actually. One of the reasons I didn't get it the last time around is because the shoes wouldn't go in my cart. Although, that would explain why I wasn't getting one of the regular out of stock errors. (I think my compy might have spazzed and tried to spit out random errors that day. ) Yay my good fortune to want something no one else does. *cheer* ...wait.

 

Just a word of caution to anyone who got the Black Cocktail dress set, the stockings WILL stain your doll if you leave them on too long. Please be careful everyone. It helps if your doll is coated, but beware if your doll is not.

My girl was wearing hers for about two weeks and I discovered this morning that her entire lower body was stained. I spent several hours with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to try and get it all off. Some parts of her body were stained so badly I had to sand them lightly to finally remove it.

So I thought I would just warn everyone. I'd recommend putting the stockings through the wash to get loose dye out, and be careful putting these stockings on non-coated dolls.

I totally forgot that clothes can stain, does anyone have instructions on getting excess dye off clothes so it won't stain (or have a less likelihood of staining) a doll?

(There was a water-vinegar solution but I can't remember the ration. I thought it was 2 parts this and 1 part that but after a search in the forums I found 1 person saying 50-50 so I want to be sure about the ratio and maybe find instructions on what to do--cleaning time basically)

 

I haven't received any shipping notice for my school uniforms from Volks USA as of yet...

Is it typical that they hold off shipping of the package since they might be waiting for their second shipment?

 

I use a 50-50 solution of WHITE vinegar and cool water. Soak any washable material in the solution overnight, and then rinse in water, until you can no longer smell vinegar.

IMPORTANT! Don't use any other type of vinegar except plain white! Its very inexpensive in most grocery stores and any brand of white vinegar is fine to use. Also if you don't think a fabric would survive hand washing, or should'nt be exposed to moisture, do not try this remedy.

FYI, I found the black blouse of Black and White Flower dress from Dolpa 19 also does stain. Please be aware! ^^;

 

Glad to help Mikia! Just make sure you only put same color pieces of clothing into this solution for hand washing....like red with red, black with black, and so on. For items with several colors in them, like a striped shirt for example, you should wash that piece by itself. And change the vinegar/water solution once you notice its taken on any color. Good luck!

Hi Rudy, Sorry my tip came late and that blouse stained your doll. Hope you can remove the stains and set the dye in the blouse with this solution.

Hey Nena! Yeah, this should work fine on synthetic wigs, but if you're dying mohair, perhaps test a swatch first. The vinegar is acidic and might dry mohair out a bit more than you'd like. But if you're going to be using RIT dye, they always used to recommend vinegar to set the dye color. Unless the dye maker has their own product to perform this function without having to worry about multiple water rinsing to remove the vinegar odor, I'd go with the tried and true. Good luck!

BTW everyone...It seems as if there's stock left on both the black and pink BTSSB shoes, as well as the green heels! I'm hoping the green heels will work on my "Passion" now, since I was able to get a pair Volks FCS Optional High Heel feet off YJ last year. And if all else fails, I'll try stuffing the toe of the shoe with tissue paper....hey, works in my own shoes! Happy shopping all!

Has anyone been having trouble contacting Volks lately? I sent them 3 emails so far inquiring about my Yo-SD Neon and I haven't received any replies yet. (All previous emails came through the junk mail filter perfectly fine, so I don't think that's it.) Are they on vacation or something like that? I think I might try emailing the Japanese Volks site, maybe if nothing else, they'll kick the VolksUSA people's butts into gear. :p I'm not even sure if I should be getting worried yet or not.

 

I got a response from Volks this week within 3 days. =/

I think they are just busy dealing with NYC Dolpa3.

OK. It is the middle of July. I have sent several emails to Volks asking about the order status, and received no reply. The Satogaeri Service dolls were supposed to ship in June, but I have not yet even gotten a tracking number.

I am still waiting for Okita Souji. Is there perhaps something wrong? Have any others around here still not yet received their dolls??

Edit: He was going to go to Dollectable with me... Every day I swing by my ship/receive center, but he's not there. I am severely bummed. ;_;

 

I recommend calling Volks USA during their business hours. Sometimes that's the best way to get a clear answer and they're nice about answering questions.

 

I would agree that calling would be best! I know they can be quite slow when responding to e-mails.

 

*le sigh* Any word still on when these little beauties will be released to the Volks USA store?? Last I heard, they still didn't have the revamped editions of the 4 Sisters still..but that might be outdated.

 

This is unrelated to last year's Kyoto Dolpa seeing as how they were released during Dolpa 19 (which they weren't included in the US lottery), NY Dolpa 3, and the Korean Owners Appreciation Fair.
