Yes, most of the ones being shipped out are directly from Volks Int. AE.

The orders from Volks USA Lottery will not be shipping until May, so another 4 weeks or so to go.

 

Yay I picked up my stuff from the AE!
The BTSSB shoes are cool!
The MSD ones are actually quite big and they fit my Dollfie Dream feet perfectly, even with socks on, which is a cool thing for me

but I still love it all
THe MSD/MDD dress sets are also adorable in person.

That makes sense, thats probably why its taking long for some orders, at lest they posted that for people to see

 

So that means we won't be getting our outfits? Missing buttons/accessories, small blouses and tight pants/underwear for so many outfits is a a huge defect. How could Volks let this happen?

 

Hmmm, I got my Chibi Lovely Punk Pants Set, and it didn't come with underwear, so I guess I won't worry about it being tight?

I haven't taken the girls set out of the package yet, guess I should check it over.
I wonder if this only applies to unsent orders, I did think my sets looked fine.

It's quite unfortunate that Volks let those problems to occur. I hope that it doesn't happen again during the upcoming Dolpa.

 

I'm glad none of my items are on that list. Right now they are at the post office waiting and boy do I dread the tax day lines...

I finally got my shipping notice today. None of my clothes are on the list however, perhaps they decided to check everything just in case?

 

Oh dear. Mine is already shipped to a friend in Japan who will in turn, be sending it to me. She received it way before the announcement came up. The main reason why I bought the modern suit set was for the pants, and it'll really suck if it is too tight. :/ I hope volks did a check before sending any sets out! (I doubt to, though.) Has anyone received a modern suit set and tried it on sd13 long-legged body?

 

I just tried on the defective sets:

La Parsonal Black Label “Punky Suit Set”
Defect factor: tight pants.

This is true, the pants are too tight and the top button will not close at all.

La Parsonal Black Label "Modern Suit Set”
Defect factor: tight pants and vest.

This isn't true in my case The pants and vest are snug, but a good fit. However the silver embellishments on the pants are just glued on, and fell as I put them on the doll! I would still consider this outfit defective.

La Parsonal Black Label “Earth Toned Dress Set”
Defect factor: Jacket button missing.

This isn't true in my case There are no buttons missing that I can see, but the leggings won't fit an SD girl at all! I think Volks made a mistake in what is defective.

 

I got my shipping notice for Rose from the After Event!!

 

That's a relief to hear! I hope mine fits too.

 

I haven't received mine yet, I'm hoping the pants will be snug and not too tight.

Has anyone else received the pink and white dress set for msd? I got mine the other day and had to take forever getting it on, it barely fits. The sweater wouldn't clasp at all, and the bow was sewn on upside down... I have never had such problems with Volks clothes. It looks ok now that it's on, but it was quite a trial!

 

Which one? the one with the white dress or the pink dress? I have them both but only tried on the one with the white dress. The waist is a bit tight on the dress but the sweater fits just fine

 

It sounds as if they miscalculated the seam allowances on a lot of the outfits. =(
That's too bad, even a few millimeters off can ruin an outfit when it comes to doll clothing.

Manami- it was the pink dress with the white sweater, sorry! The waist is tight on the pink dress, too. I finally got the sweater to clasp with much effort, but I think I'll probably leave it open for fear of ripping something.

 

I have both of these sets and they fit perfectly on my MDDs, and the material is strechy so there is extra room for a bigger bust size (my MDDs are small bust size) but I can imagine how it could be tight on an MSD! My bows aren't sewn upside down, but they are a bit off center.

I wonder since Volks is trying to have the same outfits fit MDD, SDCute and MSD, if the outfits are tighter on MSD because of that? Because MDD and SDCute have a smaller waiste size than MSD.

 

That is terrible about the clothes, i hope you all contact Volks so you can work it out.

 

The pants on mine are so tight that he can't move at all. I tried to sit him down but I gave up or the seams would have burst.
The waistcoat is impossible to close. I nearly ripped off a button.
The jacket is very tight across the shoulders.
I'll contact Volks tomorrow.

 

I contacted volks and got an email from them.

We are terribly sorry but please send the defective outfits back to us with a copied invoice within 7 days of this email.
When we receive the returned item, we will pay the payment of it by PayPal.
So please let us know your PayPal account.

My reaction was I'll keep the items. The shirt and jacket fit nicely. After taxes and the shipping, I rather keep them than ship them back and be refunded.

 

Yeah that's what I hate when companies make mistakes and still make us the customers have to pay for shipping to receive it AND return it! If they admit their mistakes and are honest they should also refund part(if not all) the shipping cost. Because if you buy a defective 40$ item, pay $20 to have it shipped to you, then pay $20 to return it.. its a big loose loose situation........

In this case, I think Volks could have simply refunded those who claimed to have received defective items, without having to return the items, since they admitted they made a mistake and they know which items are defective and they can trace who ordered them. I find it kind , I would be so mad if I had received a defective item!!!

In Canada I'm pretty sure if you return the package to the sender you can fill a form to have the tax you paid refunded if you mail it along with some proof.
I know once a seller wrote incorrect amount and I had to pay more tax, then I sent proof of the actual price I paid and they send me a partial refund, lots of paper work but sometimes its worth it.

Sounds like a lot of trouble just to have Volks fix up the problems. Shipping is a huge factor. I dunno if they realized that. =/

 

The last time I had to send something back to Volks they did refund my shipping. But that was from the USA site.

 

Yes, I was refunded shipping to VolksUSA, but my transaction was an exchange. The refund was sent as a money order, all the way down at the bottom of the box. I thought it was a part of the packaging materials until five months later. Whoops.

 

May starts next month! VolksUSA said the dolls would be coming in in the beginning of May but I suspect a Mid May arrival. What do you guys think?

 

I'm really hoping they mean the first week of May. I don't think I can wait too much longer.

 

I agree I'm also hoping doran early May shipping but trying not to get my hopes up.

 

Usually it is middle of the month. So I am counting on the week after. Now need to gear up to buy those two outfits I missed during AE

 

Yes, probably Mid-May since they have to box everything and ship it and then shipping may take a little while.

I did not win Rose or Bianka from the Volks USA Lottery--but I have not received notice about my doll being shipped yet.

They said they will send shipping notice in the beginning of May--so maybe later this week and next week we will receive shipping notice.

April can't finish fast enough... T_T

 

I'm a little sad, my birthday is Thursday but of course my Neon won't be here by then. Lol, I knew when I bought him he wouldn't show up in time!

 

This is all that we know of from Volks about the shipping of the dolls from the USA Lottery:

"Items will be delivered approximately at the beginning of May 2008. Items with Sato-gaeri Service will take an additional month to be shipped."

Some people are speculating that Volks won't ship until the MIDDLE of May, because that's what they have done in the past, apparently. We won't know until Volks sends the shipping notices, though.

Gosh, I'm jealous of all these people getting their shipping notices so early! I wonder if Volks is doing the shipping in alphabetical order (ie: if your last name starts with A - K, you get notice on the first of May, etc.)
