I think it's ok after you've paid the order through Paypal.
I only got one email from Volks saying order confirmation and order number after I paid from paypal.

 

That's what I'm hoping, tadelica! It's got to be a good sign that I have a paypal invoice! Hopefully I'll get a confirmation from Volks too. Thanks :-)

 

In the past after events, sometimes it would take even 3 or 4 days to get the paypal billing from Volks. Huge congrats to you persistant people!!!

I got an email from Volks! It was on my other email account - my paypal email is different! Whee! Congrats/condolences to everyone else! I'm off to bed! Thanks for all the advice, etc posted here on the AE. It's my first one and it really helped! :-)

 

I am not having any sucess here. I can't even get my shopping cart to open at all. I am still trying to get the MSD button boots from the Feb. outfits set.

Oh well, I was very lucky to get Bianka in the USA lottery.
Now that I have adopted a Shirou, I had hoped to get his outfit (he arrived nakies). Maybe I will try YJ, but the poor poor dollar is so weak right now!

 

Well I put in for the Salopette outfit and everything went through, used cc, and at the very end got error 500. However, I just checked my cc and the amount is there and I also just got an email from Volks with confirmation so I guess I have it. I thought the error message said it didn't go through, but it must have.

And further I just checked my Order History and the outfit was there as confirmed. So I guess this is another way to confirm if you haven't received an email yet.

 

ouhh I managed to get the other 2 BTSSB shoes in a separate order! (but paying shipping twice )
The only thing I couldn't get was the hair pin!!!

 

Just curious - how did you check your order history? I keep getting the error 500 message no matter what I do.

 

Sheri, I hope this link works for you. It says how can I see my Shopping History. When you click on the link you have to log in and than can see details of your orders. It will show you todays order as well.

I figured it out at last!!
My husband changed the security settings on this computer and it won't accept cookies now. It was the thing blocking the actual purchasing pages, and the order history.
I managed to fix it, I told the computer to trust the Volks pages - so now I am getting the 3 outfits and 2 shoes I was after. Hooray!!!

I tried for hours but I was never able to get Rose in my cart. The button was always frozen until she eventually became sold out. I feel all achy and bad from lack of sleep and I've got nothing to show for it.

I know, their website is funny. Unfortunately, I think the chance of a doll showing up Volks USA is almost none.

I wanted 4 outfits from the Sumika lines, but I totally forgot that AE is not just for LE items.... by the time I realized it, two of the 4 items I wanted were sold out

Well, at least I got 2 and only 2 more to grab from Volks USA later.

Yeah, I think you're right. It's probably especially impossible this time since Rose and others were preorder-only, too.

Yeah, I need to get the outfits that I want over at VolksUSA, like most people here. They were all sold out of the Black Cocktail dress and Light Dress set around 11:45PM PST. I was so upset.

Well, at least there were less problems with the doll sales. Congrats to those who were able to checkout and get what you want.

 

Hehe now that I think about it, I don't know how I managed to stay up until 7 AM and just kept trying for 1 hour to check out.... I think my body was so tired and I was in a trance....must... get... baby... shoes... lol

 

I was like that for the last after event, but I have no intention to relive it. O_o

 

And congratulations to everyone who was able to go through all that hell and get their precious dolls, dollie shoes, etc!

I'm offering lots of chocolates to people who didn't have much luck because of server lag and bad internet connections~

I know what you mean, it's so frustrating when you really want a doll and it goes to a scalper who only looks at it as a big wad of $$$

Keep trying though, I remember dolls like Cristal and Nono came back in small numbers after they were shown as sold out on the site. You need a lot of luck to be on the site as they appear but it's worth a try.

I see that "famous" eBay scalper has upped her prices for Rose and Bianka from $1200 to $1350 overnight...I don't understand why Volks and other doll companies tolerate people like her

 

Some of the outfits from the AE are already listed on Y!J the day of. It really sickens me.

 

I just bought DD Shino over at Volks usa , and surprisingly that went SO SMOOTHLY!! I checked out in 2 minutes lol. No crashing, nothing. So far from the AE hell lol. I guess the fact we don't need to sign in on Volks usa helps a lot.

 

The Violet Dress Set was sold out the moment that I clicked on it. =/

 

Aww sorry to hear that. I checked the quantities for fun and it looks like they only had max 5 of each items... You need to be soooo quick on the refresh button. *kept refreshing like at maniac since 5 minutes before the event*

 

What's REALLY sickening, is that he/she has more than one of each doll! If you check the quantity section, it says 2! So if you see less than 2, it means people are actually buying! And they have EVERY SINGLE DOLL from Kyoto 5 and other Dolpas! They're selling Suigintou for $3,000!!!!

It gives me a headache just thinking about it.

I wish Volks would look into the person doing it, and find a way from blocking them and any of their associates from entering Volks events.

 

I just slept through the AE but its good to know a lot of people got what they wanted

 

DD Shino is so pretty~ I like that new DD Volks is coming out with (Saber, Excellen, Ratwuni)--she reminds me of Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist.

I'm actually quite surprised that the items for the February 2008 Collection didn't sell out when I checked out.

The last Dolpa 18 Regular items, I hit "Send Order" and my cart was cleared!

I guess the most people are still reeling from the AE at the Volks International site and don't have much energy to go to the Volks USA site.

And I usually get something that isn't popular item...

Maybe Volks just don't have the time or will to deal with this.

Are you serious? *cries* I have such bad luck! The black cocktail dress is the only thing I want and I signed on and checked at about twenty minutes ago and checked it. It's sold out again. I'd like the SD13 boots too, but those would be just on a whim. That stupid dress is going to be the death of me until i get it.

Wow I just went to the international site because I gave up when the items were released and I managed to get the 2 pink and white MSD dresses and the white BTSSB shoes! So excited!

...... is it just me or was this Dolpa a bit more of a "flop" than those prior? I always felt more items sold out immediately but then again I never went and checked once I placed my order.

 

Perhaps they released more of each item this time. I am surprised there will still Biankas left over today though. No love for Bianka?

And it's killing me! If I didnt desperatly need to order pointe shoes, I would have checked out happily with Bianka in my cart a couple hours ago.

I think every so often someone cancels their order or their order gets canceled so more dolls come back in stock. The same goes for items and outfits.

 

At Dollpa itself things went extremely fast so I am thinking that they are doing the online part a little differently than normal. I don't know how the in-person after event went though.

Yay! I picked up one of the white cardigan sets for my MSD. I'm kind of hoping I can catch the classical princess set on VolksUSA... it will be an expensive order if I also have an SD by then, some of those outfits are too pretty!
