I've done a Black but didn't put on his marking. Also, I know the colour is not correct ... err... anyway...

 

I love all these pictures. I do have a quick question if that's alright...Has anyone tried to make a Resinsoul SD into Sebastian?

Is it weird that I'm waiting for a pair of boots to arrive, so that I can start color matching a Grell cosplay TO the boots? XD

Also... could someone please explain to my girl that 'Madame PINK' isn't a real Black Butler character? She's kind of insistent on using an eye-searing PINK instead of red, because she thinks that red isn't as cute as pink. -_-;;;

this thread needs more activity D: So here's my little Grellkitty for starters, who finally has a face thanks to the wonderful Clockworkangel. SD Grell also has a CWA faceup now, I'll spam him when his outfit arrives^^. And yes, the teeth have been modded into itty bitty grelly sharkteeth^^. I didn't want to destroy the pretty Breakaway mouth by giving him a big cheshire grin though, but he's all cheshire on the inside:P

 

Grell Those teeth are modded, not painted on^^.

 

Where did you get this outfit? Or did you have it made? It is amazing!

I did put up a thread for opinions on suitable Black Butler skulpts. And I was directed to this thread also. So I hope it is ok if I ask some questions here

I have just recently become a Black Butler fan. And I really do want to create my own characters of Sebastian, Ciel and Grell. (No anime noses though ). I am also searching for sculpts on my own, but any suggestions would be much appreciated


Edit: Oh yeah, which cm range would be best for Sebastian and Grell if they are going to be the right height in comparison to Ciel?

 

My Sebastian is an Illusion Spirit Adrian head on a Dollzone 65cm body. He's a little tall for my MSD Luts Bory Ciel, but the sculpts were just so cute and I loved the idea of little Ciel.

Thank you so much! That is a very good sculpt I will have to look around a lot though for the sculpt that is just right for me. Might be a Challenge to find my Sebastian. I like a little bit more realistic sculpts like IS - Tosaca http://www.winddolls.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_147_380&products_id=6746. Not saying he is the right sculpt. But I need to find someone who will fit perfectly together with the Ciel that I choose.


I have found my little Ciel though. A Little Harmony boy - Little Kliff. And he is just perfect I have started by ordering some clothes first. Then I'll order him as quickly as I can

You don't happen to have a picture of your Sebastian and Ciel standing side by side? It'll help me to find the sculpt I want to go for. Kinda hard to picture the height difference without seing it for your self.

I have even found a sculpt I like for my Sebastian. But all the sculpts I could use for a Sebastian character are the 70cm tall ones.. Might be a bit to tall?

The doll that I found is 71.5cm in height. Idk If I should go for a doll this tall..


Edit: I have found perfect sculpts for both my Sebastian and Ciel characters now. And I'm super happy with the choice. I would have preferred a SDF height though, but I guess 68cm tall is a bit better than 70cm or higher.

Finally I have something to contribute to this thread again! Alan Humphries from the second Kuroshitsuji musical is finally mine. Yes, I used to have a Crobi Yeon-Ho who I attempted to make into Alan, but for various reasons I sold him. Now he is a Migidoll sad Noel (who arrived today), currently stealing Ronald's body, which does not fit him. And I didn't realize how large that suit was on that body until I put this relatively small head on itO.o. Needs work on a lot of details, but I love him already^^. And yes, I am in the process of making his deathscythe .

 

Sadly I'll have to do my Luts MDL Abadon vampire order before I can start thinking about Ciel.

But right now I'm unsure which doll that fits the Ciel character best

And I have no idea where to even find a 65cm high Sebastian Finding the right face sculpt might be a challenge as I want him to look more mature than Ciel.

 

Manabusama: you can always find the headmold you like and put him on a slightly shorter body of your liking as long as the neck size matches the neckhole size and the resins are close in color, all my Kuro boys are hybrids too.

 

Yes I know.. But I can't seem to find a sculpt I like. I did find a sculpt I really liked. It was a Popodoll Nangong You. But now Popodoll is down.

But I don't mind just having just Ciel for a while once I get him. Only, now I have problems choosing between Little Kliff and Bear


I have a lot of time to think though. I have a few other things I need to take care of before I can order either Ciel or Sebastian.

The Ciels here are so adorable I would love to get one to Oneday. But I'm in no hurry right now.

I have a lot of doll wishes and plans. But I don't wanna rush trough my wish list like I used to do before. I enjoy this hobby so much more when I just take my time.

@Peachy: Whippy's Claude is a Luts Senior Delf Abandon and their Sebastian is a Luts Senior Delf Loid, Zetahadrian's awesome Sebastian is an Immortality of Soul Blood (which is actually sculpted after Claude).

Thank you so much! I really liked the Mix-Black sculpt but a friend was telling I could find dolls for a cheaper price to suit a Sebastian as well. Lol I really wanted that dolls clothes more I guess. Haha xD

Em i have some questions, most Ciel here are MSD sized right? And where did you guys get their clothes?

 

I have so many BJD plans that sometimes I don't know where to start I often figure out that some plans are better to just forget about or not as important as I thought.

I see that Popo doll is back. But I'm now unsure if I really need a Sebastian and Ciel doll. I was crazy about the Black Butler anime but it did not last that long. Now I'm back again to my favorite anime " the Dragonball series".

Looks amazing, but way out of my price range. Perfect size to go with my Sebastian though. I need a 50cm body for my Ciel!

 

Seen the new Ciel. But I already made a comment elsewhere that he's not for me. For one thing he's too darn expensive and I don't like the open mouth. (Among other things about the sculpt.)

Also, have you looked at the body they are putting him on? Ciel's supposed to be 13 and the 50cm body is kinda adult looking with the sculpted muscles.

I have decided that I would sculpt my own Ciel-head.
(and possibility Sebastian's)

 

So far as I remember IoS used to do two versions of the 50cm body and one of them was a younger style. My guess is they would put him on that version or something similar.

I agree about the price though! But you get the full set for that so I guess that saves the fuss of getting or making the clothes to fit.

I already have my Sebastian mostly sorted, but so far only the head for my Ciel - I need to get a 50cm body for him as that's the perfect size. So far I can only find bodies in my prices range that are too big or too small to go with my Sebastian - or he will have to stand on a box! XD

I loved the new Ciel and I'm pretty sure that will have the 50cm kid body, although the makeup is very beautiful, I prefer as an option the mark under his right eye, because I would dress him with other outfits, not only Book of Circus

I asked IoS if they were planning to make a Joker doll in their Kuroshitsuji series. They said they don't have plans for Joker at the moment, but Sebastian will be released this year and they are hoping to add Grell in the future.

My Sebastian project is totally stalled right now. His head is ready but I can't find the right body for him anywhere. I need Uncle/SSDF size, but I'm completely failing to find anything suitable in my price range....
