Knitting Knit - The infamously confusing wrap sweater! 60cm size

      note: This pattern was designed to the measurements of an Obitsu 60cm, and for dolls with nonminiscule waists, instructions will be in parenthesis(). Where there are no parenthesis the instructions apply to all.

      Sizes: Obitsu, DD, (SD, Delf, etc)

      Materials: Laceweight natural fiber yarn. It's very important that whatever is used can be blocked well. US sz 3 straight needles or DPNs worked flat.

      Gauge:16 stitches x 20 rows in St st on size 3 needles makes 2"x2".

      note:Make sure that you wind a small ball of your yarn for the armhole or have another skein to work off of.

      Body (1)
      CO 24 stitches on sz 3 needles and work in St st for 9 (9.5) inches.

      Armhole:
      With k side facing, k 10 sts, BO 4sts, k 10.
      P row, tying on a new ball for the second leg.
      K to hole, BO 1 st on second leg, k to end.
      P to hole. BO (purling) 1 st on second leg, p to end.
      K 8, inc1, k 1, (hole) k 1, inc1, k 8.
      Purl row
      K 10 Cast On 4, continue other leg with same ball. Break off other ball.

      Back: Work St st for 3.5"
      Repeat armhole section.

      Body (2) Work in St st for 9 (9.5) inches, BO.
      BLOCK!

      Sleeves: (make 2)
      CO 20 sts, work in St st for 7" BO loosely.
      BLOCK!

      Mattress stitch or seam sleeve seams and sew into body. Weave in ends.
      Hooray!

    3. I'd love to give this a try, it looks perfect for my girl, but I don't understand the abbreviations :( (non-native speaker here) ... I'll do some research (and practise my knitting on easier projects :sweat ) and see what happens.
       
    4. Knittinghelp.com has a list of common abbreviations. You may still need to search around to figure out what the terms mean (I know - I've knit a couple of patterns from other languages before and it's tough) but at least then you know what you're trying to translate. :)

    8. I've admired this pattern on Rav for years. I now have an SD beauty on her way to me to make it for! I also have been spinning yarn for doll clothes for years and now have a pair of Angora rabbits to make this really special! Thank you for sharing the pattern and I look forward to sharing how it turns out!
