erinpcf I have been trying to make your beautiful sweater but I cannot get the gauge correctly. I even tried using #7 US needles. I'm hoping you help me figure out what I am doing wrong Thanks!
I went from #2 US all the way up to #7 US and still not working? The problem is I get too many stitches per inch.
You must be a tight knitter. Have you tried blocking your knitting before measuring? I got 6.5 sts per 1" (26 sts per 4") with #2 needles, but I'm a fairly loose knitter (ahem) so you may need to go up several needle sizes. Also, if your knitting is stretchy enough the sweater may fit. Cast on and knit for a little bit & see if it looks like it'll fit your doll. OR, you could always recalculate the pattern based on the gauge you are getting. There's some help for this around, I'd check Knitty.com if you're unsure of what to do and want to go that route.
