Finally I have a contribution for the thread. Here is my SD-13 Shiro wearing a very easy knit hat that I scaled down from a human pattern: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2157/2189694079_f9c690a696.jpg Here are the directions: 0 needle, fingering/sock yarn; gauge 8 sts/inch. Cast on 66 Do 2 rows of k1p1 Row 3: k across Row 4: p across Repeat rows 3 & 4 until piece measures 2.5 inches from beg. or until desired length Bind Off Sew the 2.5 inch sides together forming a tube. Flatten tube, putting seam at center back. Sew across the top. Make sure you have sewn with right sides together. At corners of hat add tassels. To make tassels: cut 3 pieces of yarn 3.5 inches along. Put crochet hook or needle through the top corner of hat & pull 1/2 way creating aloop. Insert loose ends through loop & pull to secure. Repeat on other corner. Put on doll & squeal with delight! Please let me know if they are any issues and I'm happy to offer something back!
