Knit Cap with Ear Loops for Fairyland’s 4” tall RealPuki, PukiPuki (3.5 inch circumference head)

This cap will also fit Felix Brownie bjds.

#12 pearl cotton and U.S. size 00 needles
(You can use any thread or fine yarn you wish as long as you get 14 sts/inch.)

Gauge: 14 sts/inch 22 rows/inch

Cast on 54 sts, leaving a long tail for sewing seam. Starting on wrong side, k 2 rows.
Next row: K9, bind off 9 sts, k18, bind off 9 sts, k9.
Next row: K9, cast on 4 sts, k18, cast on 4 sts, k9. (44 sts)
K 3 rows. Work stockinette stitch (k1 row, p 1 row) until entire piece measures about ¾ inch, (not including ear loops) ending with a p row.
Next row: K1, (k4, decr in next st), repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Next row: K1, (k3, decr in next st), repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Next row: K1, (k2, decr in next st), repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Next row: K1, (k1, decr in next st), repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Next row: K1, (decr in next st), repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Next row: Slip 1, k2 tog, PSSO once, then k 2 tog 3 times. (4 sts)
Bind off or work I-cord to desired length. Cut yarn. Sew seam. Weave in ends.

Embellish cap as desired.
