40–49cm Dolls Kitty Jolie Home at Last!

After 3 months of layaway and two days' delay from USPS, my kitty finally arrived this morning! She is the most darling thing I've ever seen and, in point of fact, my first doll ever. She came packed up so nice and tidy!



I had a wonderful experience with the seller, who included a couple freebies and a letter for me that was so sweet and thoughtful I quite literally cried - honeyedbiscuit, if you're out there, you're a real one. I genuinely thought I'd have to figure out how to sew a tail for myself, and the dress looks amazing. I'm so, so thankful!

Have you ever seen a more perfect kitty? I'm so in love with her it's driving me wild. I keep smoothing my hands along the resin - she just feels really nice. I think I could definitely stand to invest in a few more Lillycat dolls if they all feel like this. I also got her some eyes from ErsaFlora! Fingers crossed on her wig soon as well, for a complete look.



And lastly, though it took some encouragement from the seller because she's simply so perfect I was almost scared, I dressed her up with her dress and tail and took a couple photos.



The little pillow was another freebie and I just can't believe how lucky I am! I'm so grateful, and she's so lovely. I can see this as the start of a very long, very delightful rabbit hole. There's still so much I want to get for her, and a lot of things I want to try! I'm calling her Marie after my Dungeons and Dragons character, and I hope you all love her as much as I do.

Right now she's on display in my room with her little pillow - we have blackout curtains, so no direct sunlight, and I can't stand to leave her in her bag! She's just everything I wanted - so, so gorgeous.

 

Thanks everyone!! I am simply so excited... Fingers crossed that I'll get her wig this month - it's a curly white one and I'm quite excited about it! Next steps after that are more clothes I think. Gotta figure out how to put glasses on a girl with cat ears haha!
