I am in love with these dolls, they are so beautiful. I wait Essie, and Mei Mei

 

I'm sorry to be slow letting you know this but all my dolls have a notch at the back of the lower torso .. you can sit her without leaning on something by slightly lifting the upper torso and pushing it forward so the upper torso fits over the notch.

There is a notch at the front too so they can also lean back and lay on her tummy >.>

I just discovered the Kaye Wiggs dolls - they are such characters! Now I have some questions, it would be great if someone could help me.
I assume it is just JpopDolls which sell them, and they are US-based? Are there several Kaye Wiggs pre-orders over the year? Do they only offer a certain sculpt once? Do they always have they same size (between 43-54cm), wig and eye sizes?

To answer some of your questions:
Yes only Jpop doll, they're US based.
There are several preorders a year, pretty much every 1-3 months.
Usually preorders are per sculpt in a certain color.
As far as I know once a certain combination has been sold it doesn't come back.
Sizes vary, some.sculpts are MSD, some come on small SD bodies. She also does slim YO sized ones. So all 3 sizes
For wigs I heard they're around 8. No idea for eyes, 16mm probably.

Eilid, the best place to get information is at the Resin Cafe. It is a board/forum that Kaye started and there is a wealth of information there to include sizing per sculpt! http://theresincafe.proboards.com/ Joining is a matter of signing up. Everyone is very helpful!

There are discussions on several other artists work as well, and after an amount of time you can use the marketplace. Often Kaye's girls are sold there before being put on the open market.

From what I understand, there will be two pre-order periods for Gracie, and she will be available in both colours both times. I was tempted to get the normal resin on a Mei Mei body, but with our dollar having slipped so low, and then the Customs taxes on top of the Canadian dollar value, she's going to be WAY too expensive. I think my doll-buying days will be over until our dollar recovers some.

Anyway, here's Hope, my angel....

I consider waiting for Gracie's second pre-order period now. Just to see what they will offer in between. I have to save for several trips this year, so I can only get ONE doll for the first half of 2015.

 

Also make sure you register on the Jpop site, then you will get the notices of the pre orders.

Phoenix' body works really well there, are they made in the same factory cos the tan colour seems to really match? Love her wig too.
Opal - Pie is so cute, I love the little bits of fur poking out of the top of her boots, she looks dressed for playing outside
Shelly - your Talyssa is gorgeous, I'm avoiding elf ears as once I go down that path I know it'll be an expensive one! But I adore Talyssa's ears I need to rethink!

My Mei Mei is called Minnie and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her sister (Essie) who is somewhere in transit, so hopefully will arrive by the end of this week. She has to navigate customs and there will be charges so she'll take even longer.

Kayjay, I am so glad to have fooled you lol, the tans do not really match at all, but Phoenix is blushed very red, so it does trick the eye into making the match ok.

There's a thread for Tobi and one for Nelly, but there doesn't seem to be one for just KW SD girls.

 

yeah, I saw that! I wonder if we should make one just for the SD girls, as there's the Laryssas and now the Gracies that will be on the SD bodies.

 

I think that would be great! We now have Nelly, Tobi, Thistle, Laycee, Tanzie and Gracie that could be SD sized

Hi all I hope you don't mind me joining in. I have recently adopted a few KW dolls and I love taking pics of them! I currently have a Miki at home and a Mei Mei. I thought they might be able to join the parade of beautiful dolls pictured in here.

I will soon have a Fair Laryssa home too, and I also have a Laycee (SD). I only found KW girls in Dec but I have found that I really love them.

 

Crazydolleyes, you've fallen into the river of Kaye Wiggs' resin beauties, just as many of us have ! Red hair definitely suits MeiMei, as my little one would agree.... though she doesn't agree with much else in life.

I just love your redhaired Mei Mei's!! For me, I knew as soon as I saw Kaye's original sculpt, she'd have black hair but I love seeing all the interpretations of her.

Crazydolleyes - I have been collecting bjds for some years now, but only got a KW doll a couple of months ago, and I agree there is something very special about them. I now have Mei Mei and Essie with a tan Talyssa on order.

[MENTION=18286]kayjay[/MENTION] a tan Talyssa! I can't wait to see! I didn't think much of the sculpt for a long time but she's really grown on me. I'd love an elf version of her, to be honest!

I am the kind of collector who has always thrown myself into the dolls I love when I discover a new type. But KW are something else. I don't know why, but they've really captivated me. I don't know if it's because they photograph so well or whether it's because they look like real children, or even if it's because there are so many fabulous clothes for them, but I am seriously smitten in a way I haven't been in years.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if a MeMei elf is in the future !

Talyssa arrived yesterday, she is the second last of my Kaye Wiggs dolls that are inbound. I will admit to not being 100% sure about Talyssa when I impulse bought her but I'm so glad I did, she's incredible!

 

I am late to the party here, everyone, but color me madly impressed and so happy. I sold my Layla, but she's coming back and when she does, I'll post her here. Love Kaye's dolls and everyone's are so gorgeous! From MeiMei through Talyssa and so on, stunning, gorgeous, amazing!

 

Yes, I'll give Layla a kiss before I send her back. I think she's getting peeved with both of us, tho. LOL!

 

She looks amazing. Love her pink boots and the whole thing. Cute as can be, with bear too. She's a great doll.

Here's my third and final Kaye Wiggs doll that I had preordered, Coffee Tan Talyssa. I'm so happy with my trio of girls, it took me a long time to buy a KW doll but I'm very pleased I took the plunge

Love all the beautiful photos of the KW dolls. The second MSD sized doll in my collection arrived this past week - Essie. I was fortunate to adopt one in the extras sale.

Ultimately she will be a red-head and either gray eyes or green eyes.
