kawainino anna

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the Anna head was sold out long ago, and won't be available from the manufacturer again. The only way to get one is through the second-hand market (eg YahooJapan), and they don't come up very often.

There were two Ando heads that popped up on ebay recently - I think one went for ~$350 US and the other ~$400 US, so that might be a rough indication of the price you'd expect to pay for an Anna.

I don't think Anna (whom I would LOVE to mod) would go for quite as much as Ando though, isn't he more popular than she is? Then again I don't watch many of the Kawainino auctions. lol

 

My Anna was 250 With a face up and eyes. .
not quite as crazy as Ando. . I love my Anna though ^_^

Now I want to know if Anna comes in two sizes, because I always thought she was 60cm, not MSD sized like the one in the auction.

Anna came in both SD and MSD size. x3 I have one of the SD-sized myself, which I found second-hand here on DoA for $140 via the awesome Dishlaga. :3

Hopefully I'll have pictures once the poor dear's re-face-upped and bodied.

It doesn't match perfectly but with a shirt on it's fime ^_^ I can blush his body a tad to match better

 

What sort of body works best with Anna? I've been looking around for one, since the Luts one I had didn't work out. XD

 

Yup It's a custon house body ^_^ They have the same skin tone. . the head's resin is jsut a slightly different color (I'll attribute that to age)

Korean owners much prefer Anna than Ando. Ando was the first released head, but it was Anna, the second head of kawainino doll, which made Kawainino became famous.
So I was surprised when I first read this post!!

Anyone know perchance how many were made?

 

As far as I know, Anna heads were sold 3 times.
I don't know the exact amount of the 1st and the 2nd order..
But about the 3rd order period, it was the 1st anniversary of Kawainino, and just 27 heads were made. (All heads were sold out in 1 second without exaggeration!!! I was very lucky, so I could get my Anna head through this hard compatition.)
I think that not much heads were made for the 1st and the 2nd orders compared with the 3rd.
And Kawainino'd accepted some orders from outside of Korea, but she stopped it because of her personal reason.
