    1. What?
      BJD: WTF?       ​

      This is mostly an intro panel for beginners who don't know much about BJDs but are curious. It's a good introduction to the very basics. We will be passing dolls around for people to handle on their own -- obviously you don't have to let your doll be handled if you don't want. It's perfectly fine to have them there just to be admired :)


      When and where?
      Sheraton Hotel Leatherwood 1 room, 6:30-7:00 pm

      This conflicts with Cosplay Contest Awards! ... but if anyone is late for any reason, we'll be happy to repeat anything you missed and answer questions.

      What about the BJD Meet?
      We'll be meeting from 2-2:30pm on Saturday in the dining room.
      Go to the host stand and state that you are with Jacq Davis.
      I made the reservation for up to 10 people, so please let me know if you're coming!
      As always, there is no fee to come but the restaurant would appreciate an order of a drink and appetizer.

      Hello there! I will be coming up to Nakakon for Saturday only (my partner heard one of their cosplay idols was going two weeks ago and so we scrambled to make it happen)

      I know you don't yet know what day it will be on but do you know what the panel will be about? Trying to decide if I will try to squeeze it in if I have the time. owo

    3. @Alaia, I do! I'll be the one hosting it :) The overall panel is mostly for people who have only seen BJDs but don't know anything about them except they're pretty and expensive. My outline runs down the general whys, like why are they expensive, why do people collect them, and so on. There will also be a segment of how they're made (eg, 3d print vs hand-sculpted and cast) and another portion where we just pass dolls around the room for people to handle and enjoy purely for themselves for a bit.

      If you decide not to go to the panel or can't make it, I'm going to try to arrange an unofficial meet too, but I won't be able to nail it down until Naka releases their schedule. Do you want me to make sure it's on Saturday so that you can come? We love visitors! :D

    4. I actually got introduced to bjds at an anime convention myself back in 2009.

      And yes, please. It would be nice to bring a doll along and get to go to a meet ^^ The cosplayer we are going to see is ModeratelyOkay Cosplay. I am not sure what panels he will be having, so I will need to check the schedule for him once it comes out

    6. @Alaia, Naka posted their schedule but hasn't released guest times yet (that I see). The first post was updated :)

      By the way ... do you mind bringing any WD Emma? She's been on my wishlist for a while but I'm also waffling.

      Sure thing! My white Emma's nose was sanded a little bit and I am paranoid about travelling with my elves since they're limited, so I will bring my real uv girl with me.

      So it looks like ModeratelyOkay Cosplay has a panel on sunday (ouch lol). Dont see anything for him saturday. My partner says he usually has print booths at cons so we can probably find him there.

      So it is probably safe to set up the meetup whenever you'd like on saturday after 12pm (Just to be sure we are there and have gotten through the lines for passes)
