@tiikx No problem at all. Wish I could help more, but... the best option with least costs that I can think of is to ask Resinsoul to match the color and go for those bodies :3 I don't think the default normal skin would match.

I have just ordered Jupiter and would like him on a taller body also! I’ll have to look into the doll chateau 66cm, I do like their quality.

I’d like to know this also! I believe oriental might be better resin colour...

Does anyone have a Kanadoll on a ringdoll body? I am considering the RGM3 in particular...

I’m at a loss as to what body I like, but was looking at a loongsoul 62cm. How did the yellow Loongsoul go in resin comparison? I’m not sure if normal yellow or normal pink Is a better match with Kanadolls.

Oh Thank you! I actually received Jupiter two days ago!! AND managed to find him a body second hand that I restored, I am very happy with the outcome, although will be sanding down the neck as it seems too long. Body is a Leekeworld L Type Boy/ gentle.. he was modified by the previous owner (torso sanded down). Which I prefer! I wanted a less mature body for Jupiter.. trying to find one with a big enough neck was a nightmare but was fortunate to get this Body for him!!! Yea I’m having trouble with posting pics as well, very frustrating but here you go everyone! Can’t wait to paint him, I’m just waiting for some lighter colours to arrive

Adrian and Bambi preorder soon! I’m so excited, I’ve been recently looking for an Adrian head. For some reason my order didn’t get through 2 years ago lol... hopefully it works out better this time! Thinking about getting the switch attractive 65 body for him.

My poor Adrian still has no body...the new DT15 that just came got snatched up by my Mars head...and a Switch Hwahui grabbed the SDGr...so, poor Adrian. Not sure which body...maybe the new MiracleDoll 60cm?

 

Hello! I discovered kanadoll through my recommendation page on insta. I love their algorithm, I always find the coolest things recommended to me.

Anyway, kanadoll released pics of their #11 boy Saeryun. He's soo pretty. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna try order him. He is scheduled to be released end of this month/early next month according to some of the comments on one of their posts

 

I love the new Saeryun head so much, its face up is so beautiful.
I would immediately jump on it if he would offer a face up
But as a blank head.. I don't know if I can find someone that can paint him like the promotional pictures. And also is willing to paint him like that. (since they would be copying the design)

@Pyoko I totally know what you mean I'm absolutely in love with the head/faceup! For me, I feel like as long as he gets a similar eyebrow shape, I will love whatever faceup he gets. But I guess it's hard to say so early too.

I ended up ordering him in normal skin.

 

Kana usually opens some head/faceup orders...but not always for both resin color types...and not in huge numbers.

I'm dyyyyyyyyyyying over the new Madeleine sculpt that will be sold by Petit Soirée. Just too stinking adorable.

 

Ohhh, would be amazing if he offers Saeryun with face up at some point. Though they probably will sell out in seconds

Oh hey, I didn't think to look for a Kanadoll thread after getting an Adrian in the murky chaos of last year.
I waffled over what to do with him when he arrived because his head is on the small side, but ultimately I decided he'd stay as an upgrade/alternate of my ancient MsDoll Drayton. He's on a Volks SDGr boy body, which is a perfect fit, but he also looks okay on the Switch HD65 since it has a slightly slimmer neck than an actual Volks SD17. All of Alexander's old wigs are now slightly too large, so I have to start over.



Looking forward to seeing some Saeryun cuties in here!

 

Hi! I'm a newbie in trying to hybrid doll bodies and head and i just ordered Kana's latest boy.
Can anyone be so kind to suggest what are best bodies compatible?

 

You should page through this thread, there are lots of photos! I've tried my boy Kana heads on DT15, Volks SDGR, and Switch 65 and like them all. Kana's boy heads have a neck opening sized for boy bodies. I just ordered a MiracleDoll body and want my Adrian to try it, but it'll be a while before it arrives.

Some of Kana's heads are bigger or smaller than the others, so it depends on the head for height ratio and I don't know anyone who has a Saeryun yet

Hello everyone! I recieved my saeryun awhile back and I'm still new to faceups but I'm pretty ok with my attempt on him! He's so beautiful I think it would be hard to screw it up lol. I also don't have any wigs for him, but I put him in a long wig from my sd girl and it suits him in a bishonen kinda way haha sorry for my poor lighting and photo taking skills



I still don't have a body for him unfortunately and probably wont for awhile. Despite that, I'm already wishing I could buy Jupiter as well and have them be floating head buddies lol

and also whether the resin matches with any of switch’s colours/body

I got saeryun last month too but i sent him to a local artist for face up.

I think she might since she's having a pre order for Jupiter again.

 

Adrian has been released multiple times and I don't recall any being noted as final sale. I've got my Adrian Reverie on a Volks body and the resin match is great, same with old Switch normal. Not sure if the match is as good since Switch changed their resin colors.

 

I've got a Switch head in normal from 2016 and it's an OK match for new Volks normal. My 2016 head is still a bit more pink then my 2020 Volks doll.

I've been looking around trying to figure out if the Adrian can fit on a neck that is 11cm. I've seen people have him on a Popodoll 68cm body which is supposed to have a neck of 11cm, but I would really appreciate if anyone can tell me if it's actually possible without modding the neck.

 

Hi, I wonder if anyone might be able to help me a bit.

I recently acquired a Jupiter head (yay!) and I would like to put him on a Vings body.
Vings has colors that match both Volks and Switch NS. Does anyone know which of those might be a better match to Kanadoll's NS? (From what I can tell Jupiter was released in 2020)

@Lady Ravenswood Hmm, my Adrian is on a Volks body and it's a perfect match, but the body is a few years old. Newer Volks PS Fair is much pinker. I only have old Switch bodies too, but I am not sure whether Vings is matching to current Powder Beige or the old NS. I can try to put some headcaps together in a photo for you.

Has anyone used a dollstown 18y/o body? I was going to use switch 65 attractive body but I heard the Powder Beige does not match with Kanadoll NS.

I'm loving the look for dollstown but I wanted to make sure it matches - from my understanding it uses dollshe's colours so I would assume I can get oriental?

I am really terrible looking on the search bar on doa. I didn't know this thread existed.

I used to just look at her face sculpts, but then I saw siu and needed to have him. I recently bought kanadoll suho.

 

I got Siu and he still needs to go to the spa for a faceup.

 

I just got myself a Siu head too! Kana's sculpts are gorgeous and I love that their features aren't entirely symmetrical!

 

FYI I actually sent an email to the artist this week and the response was that Saeryun would have a rerelease "in April". So probably sometime this month.

 

Gonna revive this thread. I just received my secondhand Lucien last week and I was able to mod his ears and paint his faceup this past weekend and I wanted to share him!


He's in white skin, but I color matched him to Soom Cream White as he's on a Soom Heliot body

 

If anyone has a Kana head they could hybrid on a dollstown new 17yr or 18yr body (or a soom beef boy…) I’d love to see how that looks. I have a Kanadoll Mars head and while he looks good on my Miracledoll body I think the character needs an even chunkier one…

I have a Kana Mars and a Dollstown 18 body I can try it on. The head is WS and the body is Oriental, but if you only want size comparison, it should be ok?
I'll try to do it sometime this week!

Is there anyone maintaining the list of Kanadoll heads with the circumference and eye sizes? I see DoA has a list but it drops off at Jupiter, and there's been a few since.

 

I sadly do not have measurements of Kana Doll sculpts as I only have Lucien.

I did get him more or less finished now though!

I got him a proper wig, a pair of glasses, a better looking shirt for his vibe, and decked him out in knickknacks for stuff he could need while traveling as a unicorn messenger. I also painted his horn tip gold as silver just wasn't fitting his aesthetic.

 

I asked a question of the artist about another Adrian release and got a really interesting response back:

"Thank you so much for liking my dolls.
The plans for 2023 are not clear.
But I'm making a second version Adrian and I think I'll sell it in next year."

I'm not sure if that's something the artist had already shared on social media, but I know I thought it was something I'd be on the lookout for, at least.

 

Thanks for the info. I am on the lookout for Mars (no.5), pickings are thin on the secondhand market. I'm not sure when Mars was last released but it seems to have been a few years?

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Kana decides to do. That's the challenge with small artisans! Kana started releasing sculpts while I was on my long BJD hiatus, so I've missed some lovely ones.

 

New preorder from Kana! She's sculpted Adrian no.15 for 65-70cm bodies, and is opening preorders for him on Feb 1 - 5. Here's the link to order info. Be ready!

Adrian no.15 looks like an older, more mature version of Adrian no.3! Kana does such wonderful work.

In other news... he was an elusive boy, but I finally have Mars no.5. He was worth the hunt. I got a Migidoll body for him but while the proportions are fine, the resin doesn't match well. (Brand new Migidoll meringue beige is quite pink, while Kana's normal skin is yellow-toned, it looks similar to Volks pureskin normal.) He's currently in temp eyes and wig, and I will be replacing the body in time, but for now... I'm so glad I have him!

The head's neckhole is far too small for the neck. The head's a tad pinheaded on the body, too.

For people who have bought a NS Kanadoll head in the past year or so, would Switch milktea rose skin match it more closely than Volks NS? I've noticed that the Kanadoll head I have is much more peachy than then Volks NS bodies I have.

I've been having a hard time finding that particular comparison though. Anyone with insights?

 

Hmm, milk tea rose is not at all peachy to my eye. I'd think the new powder beige would be closer. I have all of those resins but they are all more than a year old. My Adrian is on an older Volks body that has yellowed so he matches pretty well.

 

Is Kanadoll's resin stable in colour? In other words - ignoring yellowing/ageing, do heads from different releases/years generally maintain similar colour?

I'm looking to order a Doll Family-H body for my normal skin Mars, and would like DFH to colour match to Kanadoll's normal without having to send them a piece of my resin. Just wondering if I can assume that Kanadoll's resin is consistent enough that DFH won't make a drastically different coloured body for me. I've already failed to match Mars with one hybrid body (Mars is yellow toned, the hybrid body is pink toned) and I don't want to repeat this mistake.

 

I'm still kind of at a loss for what to do. I'd like to get a Doll Family H body and I know they match to: volks, little monica, xaga doll, IOS, Soom, Switch, Dim, Angel studio, Nine9, Dika, DF-A, Charm Doll, LoongSoul, Napi, ramcube, doll zone, myou doll, dearmine.

Does anyone know if Kanadoll heads closely match any of those companies NS? I know Volks NS is kind of close but does not have a slightly peachy tone to it that the NS head seems to have.

So do any of those companies NS read as "slightly peachier than NS Volks?" Based on my research maybe NS Switch? Maybe NS Little Monica? Can anyone confirm either of these for heads made in the past couple of years?

 

@vermaxen Well, my question above notwithstanding, I recently ordered a DFH body for my Mars and asked DFH to resin match to "Kanadoll normal". They agreed - so it appears that Kanadoll is in their reference library of resins, and I don't need to send them the headcap. I expect that whatever Kanadoll reference they have will be closer to my Mars, than if I just ordered DFH's "normal yellow".

According to my notes from my hybrid searches for Mars, matches for Kanadoll normal are: Little Monica normal, Soom NS, original Switch NS (not their current resin palette). That's what I've found, but I own none of your listed resins so I can't give hard evidence.

 

@aihre actually that's hugely helpful! I didn't realize they matched to Kanadoll directly. Fingers crossed that it's a good match

 

@aihre @vermaxen Just as an aside, if you ever need to send in a color sample for resin matching no need to send in a doll part. Just go down to your local hardware/paint store with a piece of the doll and find the closest matching paint chip to your dolls resin color and then send that in. They're generally free, and if that happens to get lost in the mail you're only out postage.

 

Getting my Eden painted and would like to buy a set of eyes and pefer the more real look so i usually go with small iris. Im trying to see if i should by 14mm or 16mm with small iris. Also if anyone can do head mesurments for a custom wig that would be so much help. Id need circumference, ear to ear and around the for head and forhead to nape of neck. Id use adrian as a guide but heard hes quite different in size. Thanks ahead for whoever can help me.

 

My Kanadoll Mars is finally whole!



Vallant is Mars on Doll Family-H, 65cm boy body with the 3part torso. I asked DF-H to colour match to Kanadoll normal, and they did a splendid job. There's a bit of pink tinge to the resin, but I think this will fade over time and match Mars better (he's 6 years old after all). The colour difference is really small and I don't really notice it.

He's currently wearing 14/6mm Enchanted Doll eyes. I tried 7mm irises in him and they just look too big and doll-like. 5 or 6mm irises are much better. And he definitely has a 8-9" head - "small 1/3" wigs from Taobao fit him just fine.

So, so pleased that my boy has his own body at last! I feel so privileged to have one of Kana's sculpts.

Can I ask for a roll call? The thread is so quiet... I'd love to see more Kanadoll sculpts.

 

In case we haven't talked about it, Kana is releasing a 70cm/75cm sculpt and I'm absolutely wanting to get him!
Only issue is I'm hoping to get a Telesthesia and Dragon body for him instead of a DF-H one like I was originally thinking and I'm not 100% sure Telesthesia normal pink is in the realm of possibility for matching Kanadoll normal. I know it's dead on for loongsoul imported normal yellow if that's useful.
