Shopping Just saw FairyCastle on AliExpress

Oct 1, 2022

    1. As the title said, when I try to search fairy castle on google, yugo was on sale at Aliexpress. I opened the page and it seems that the store is the official one (I contacted their Weibo just to make sure, waiting for response). And if it is, it will be much easier to purchase their dolls, though only yugo’s there for now lol

    2. I also saw their store a while ago and contacted them by taobao to make sure. They confirmed that their Aliexpress store is legit and said that they might have a few more dolls listed there in the future.^^

    3. Yes I just got the same response haha

    4. how do you tell if it's a legit seller? I'm nervous about anything aliexpress or ebay

    5. Jane's Dolland is a U.S. dealer for Fairy Castle, too.

    6. Usually official shops say they are official on most ecommerce places. I don't normally shop for Ali, but it is known that some Chinese toy brands like Pop Mart, and Kurhn have their official shops on there, and they do note they are the official shops on their shop's name. However, it's probably a good thing to check with the original BJD maker, if there is a shop on there claiming to be that specific brands' official shop -- just to make sure. Jult like OP did. I wouldn't trust just some random seller, but if the brand confirms they have an official store, then that's obviously their own shop and there's no risk of the doll not being legit, because the brand themselves confirmed the legitimacy of the shop.

Ali just like other large ecommerce places (like eBay or Amazon), have official shops of well-known brands, but there's also a lot of illegal goods. I personally wouldn't risk purchasing toys from non-official shops on Ali of any kind, but particularly for any BJD on there, coming from random sellers instead of an officially known shop. If it is confirmed to be an official shop, then there's no reason to be scared, unless it hasn't been confirmed to be an official brand's shop.. (:

    7. I thought aliexpress and taobao sold fake dolls... was I wrong about that assumption?

    8. Almost all Chinese companies have their own Taobao official shop and sell legit dolls. There are also some dealers of Korean companies on Taobao as well. In terms of Aliexpress, I have only found Fairy Castle as a legit seller. However, there are many recast stores floating around both of these websites.

    9. Thanks. I don't buy Chinese bjds because i haven't found one I want yet, so I didn't know about the taobao thing. I did buy Doll Chateau through a distributor. That's the only one so far. Thanks for letting me know. I haven't bought any Korean bjds from taobao. I didn't know some brands were on taobao officially.
