Just a few years late to the party...

hello all! my name is Docile and i'm finally posting here, after joining the site over a decade ago. i had an interest at the time in BJDs, but ended up focusing on other hobbies and didn't engage much with the BJD community in the meantime - hence this very late introduction.

more recently, i have rediscovered my appreciation for dolls and connected with some friends who share that same interest. i have now attended my first meet-up, and just a few days ago, i placed an order for my first professional BJD (i do also have a small scale 3D-printed doll for use in model horse photography).

as a teen, i was initially taken with anthro sculpts, but this time around, i am finding myself much more interested in human dolls, though i am not at all opposed to a bit of fantasy as well.

as an artist and writer, i am drawn to the creativity that is involved in doll collecting. i'm really looking forward to cultivating my collection, connecting to the community, and possibly even improving my sewing skills!
