On the site, Junkyspot asks international orders to be emailed through because the shopping cart cannot add international shipping prices. So I emailed through an order a week ago, and heard nothing. I emailed again this morning and am yet to hear anything. Is this normal? I wouldn't be worried except the doll is extremely limited and I am afraid someone will jump in and buy it before they ever get around to finding my order? Help is appreciated
All I can say is that from what I've heard Emory has been overloading himself and particularly slow lately- and thus taking a long time to respond to his emails.
Emory will get back to you. He will, promise. He may just be doing something else at the moment, but he will not ignore you. He may have already put you down for the doll you want, he just hasn't gotten around to replying to you yet. I did a layaway of a very limited doll through him in December, got nervous just like you when my email wasn't responded to immediately, but guess what? It was all fine. Give him time. Emory does not ignore customers, ever.
ehh? so the international orders meant worldwide? does it include singapore too? i'm thinking of getting a dz doll from junkyspot...
In my experience Emory doesn't respond to a lot of emails. I have 2 friends who have tried to order things from him via email on multiple occasions and he has NEVER responded to either of them. He also contacted me about something once and he never got back to me after I replied. I've had other friends reach him though. I guess it's very hit or miss.
So am I better off putting it through as a normal order and then adding the shipping later? Or...what? It tells us not to on the site if we dont live in the USA.
going on 4 weeks, no contact. Should I assume he's just not taking email orders by email and disregard the site instructions, order through the site?
He's actually away at conventions right now, I believe. There's an announcement on the forum that May is going to be a difficult month as far as shipping and new orders. D:
He is away at conventions, as said above, so chances are you're better waiting 'til then before anything else, but... I made an order a few weeks ago - mailed it to him, as I'm in Canada. I came on the board here and PMed him, saying I'd mailed an order to him. He was able to respond almost straight away and the order/payment/shipping was cleared up in like three days. Just my two cents! Might help...?
Well, what sort of doll do you want? You're in Australia...does Moggie not have it? He and Emory both stock Dollzone...
Hey, I just wanna say that I have the same problem as you, Lethanon. Like 2 months ago I tried to order something via email but never got a reponse to that. I tried again 2 days ago, this time going through the shopping cart system. (Just to make sure that they'd notice me and my order.) I've payed and everything and afterwards I sent a mail that it's an international order and that I'd love to pay the extra shipping asap. I wrote that I really wanted my order to go through and would do anything to make it happen. No response yet. No confirmation of money received or order received. I'm getting anxious with having my money "out there". I know it's only been a couple of days but I was just so thrilled at finally ordering my dream mold (Sprite) and I want it so bad.
After the third attempt to order I gave up. Several months without hearing back is just not good customer service, and there really isnt an excuse for that length of time.
I agree. They could at least have a mail robot saying "We've received your mail and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Sorry for any inconvenience" or something. It's like I'm writing with myself right now and I feel like poo. I was so excited and hoped for a good experience - since obviously many people have had great experiences with them. I just PM'ed them here on DoA. If they haven't responded in a week or two I'm cancelling the PayPal payment...
