Hi guys..well I got up the oomph to do some casting on the head I sculpted..I know it's not a good time of year to cast especially if you don't have a pressure pot/chamber and so on..but I have cast before with good results even in the winter..but for some reason I'm getting lots of bubbles for no reason..I haven't changed my products..or my technique so I'm stumped..any ideas..I cast two heads one in white one in beige two different resins same results for both..I'm hesitant to cast a body..my arms and hands turned out ok but only after a couple of tries..I guess the girls below will end up practice heads
I haven't done casting myself, but I have started researching the crap out of it, and it seems that many casts will have bubbles if the resin is prone to bubbling, weather is bad, no pressure pot, etc. If you didn't have trouble with anything before, the culprit may be that your resin is getting old.

This thread is really informative about resin brands and bubbling: /threads/what-is-a-realistic-result-for-home-casting.806487/ But since you were using resin that you'd used before with better results, changing to a different brand might not solve the problem for you. Has the humidity in your workspace changed, now that the woodburning stove is in use?
Well I guess a woodstove will reduce humidity so I'm back to being stumped..I did do a hand cast with both the white and the beige today two different brands..still has bubbles..less in the white..I'm still at a loss these are my normal brands..never had this issue before
Just had this happen to me, with recently bought resin and good weather conditions but my casts still turned up horrible. Guess there'll be no escape from buying a vacuum chamber.
