Well after some coercion I went ahead and started a little journal for a head I started sculpting yesterday. This is my first time ever sculpting anything so I made some pretty big mistakes the first time around. I pretty much had to gouge out the eyes in order to start them properly. Otherwise it's been a fun adventure. Mr. Clayton will never be made into anything. I had some crayola air-dry clay lying around and figured I toy with getting some basic sculpting down before I bought any expensive supplies. I am going to let the head dry and draw out the second eye to get some symmetry established. Any tips with that? I had started the second eye today and pretty much spent 3 hours reworking and then destroying it. Tips and just general pointers would really help! It has been fun getting my hands dirty. Anyway~ The start: Nose and lips begin! Eyes........(woops) Where I'm at... call him cyclops?
Woohoo coercion~ well personally I think mister Clayton is coming along well~ even if he's currently visually impaired.
The nostril on his right seems to have more clay on it than his left. Otherwise, an amazing sculpt for your first try! His lips are really well done. Can't wait to see more!
Birdie: XDD Place your hand over your eye and read the sign Mr Clayton~ Thanks Birdie, he's slowly getting there. Elizern: Thank you! n__n I do need to fix that nose of his, I will add that to my to do list. Glad you like the lips, they were my favorite part to do so far.
I love all the definition around his mouth. that's a great little frown :P he's looking awesome so far
