      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Not really. It's a wig so variation can occur. But it looks great nontheless. It's similiar.

      Directly.

      How was the communication?

      Confusing. There was no option to contact their shipping department on their email form, but otherwise the response time was under 24 hours.

      How easy was it to pay?

      Ordering took me directly to Paypal.

      How long did it take to ship?

      Twenty days. The item was a preorder, hence the amount of time between placing the order and recieving my purchase.

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?


      No.

      I don't recall owning another Jpop wig where the elastic cap is so exposed by poor wefting (is that the proper term?).

      Did the item look like the sales pictures?

      Well, the style of the wig was correct ... but this is what I recieved.

      Yes and no. The wig doesn't look too bad on the doll it's intended for, despite being the wrong color. The quality could have been better though.

      If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?

      Not worth my time and effort to pursue a replacement.

      Would you order from this company again?

      This was my first time ordering through their web storefront, but I have ordered from Jpopdolls in the past through Ebay. I've had no issues with any of my Ebay orders.

      I saw the Saesha Kanawaves wig was in the color and style I wanted, and it was a preorder at the time I placed my order. It's a little disappointing to have recieved the wrong color and questionable quality in return.

      Would you buy this company's products second-hand?

      Yes, since I still do like most of their wigs, despite this screw-up. I do have a preorder for four pairs of glass eyes during the preorder promotion, and I seriously hope they do not do this to me again.

    7. I ordered two Jpop wigs, size 6-7. Waited for my package, finally contacted them and was told the mailman didn't pick up the packages to mail. Two days later I recieved a shipping notice, so they were not shipped when I was told. The quality for the price is bad--cheap, slimy feeling wigs, for 27.00 each. I will not buy from them again.

      Payed through paypal and that went fine except for some delays I had on my side with paypal.

      Shipped from Japan on 12th to them, then shipped to me and I got it on 22nd

      Yes. The doll was perfect. The default wig wasn't much to my taste in color but that was expected.

      I didn't ask any questions, but I got messages when the order had been shipped with tracking. :)

      Paypal. Simple and easy.

      It shipped out on the 11th, and then arrived today on the 13th.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      It's a very lovely item and it looks beautiful on my girl. Yes, it was very well worth it. I checked to see if there was any wefting issues, but I found none.

      Exactly.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes! However, on their ebay site (and i believe their main site) it says that it'll stretch to fit an 8.5 size head. My girl's head is exactly 8.5 and it's very difficult to get on. It might just be a quirk with the AOD headcaps being larger on the top than the faceplate. I did manage to get it on there and stay. So I'll be keeping it. I really wish the 8-9 in the same color was in stock.

      Company didn't get involved. n_n I'll just make sure to order 8-9 for her in the future if I buy again (which I likely will)

    10. What did you order?

      Four pairs of glass eyes during Jpopdoll's preorder event. The four were ordered as two separate orders.

      When did you order?

      8 February and 16 February 2009

      Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer?

      Jpopdolls was acting as distributor for the manufactuer of these eyes, and I hope that she continues doing so for as long as possible.

      How was the communication?

      Email form was a little confusing but Jpopdolls responded quickly when I realized I made a mistake on my order and assured me that the error would be noted and corrected at shipping. It was.

      How easy was it to pay?

      Order form went straight to Paypal, so it was very easy.

      How long did it take to ship?

      I recieved the eyes on 25 March, so little over a month. No fuss, and the wait is understandable and worth it.

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      Very. I like the price Jpop has for these eyes. I ordered them at the introductory price of $8.50 a pair, but I would gladly pay more for these eyes. I hope Jpopdolls plans to offer more varieties of eyes from the manufactuer in the future.

      Did the item look like the sales pictures?

      They're a little lighter than in the sample pictures, but I'm not fussed. They're still lovely.

      What's really cool about these eyes is that they have a genuine "track around the room" effect. No matter which way I tilt my doll's head, it seems her pupils are still fixed on me.

      Oh hell yes.

      If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?

      As noted, I made an error with one of the orders initially, selecting 10mm instead of 16mm. Jpopdolls responded to my email quickly and sent me the correct size eye.She also combined my orders as requested.

      Would you order from this company again?

      I plan to as soon as I finish gathering some more funds together after my Soom Lazule breaks the bank. :doh I need wigs for the boy.

      Most definitely.
       
    11. I ordered a couple of pairs of glass eyes in the first batch of pre-orders back in February. I got the automated 'Order Complete' notice on March 23rd. When the package hadn't arrived by April 7th I emailed them and got the response back that due to sickness the packages were mailed late and mine should show up any day now.

      It never did and Jpopdolls never responded to any further enquiries.

      This was sent by International Air Mail so there's no tracking and I'm not expecting any refunds. It's just seriously annoying that they won't even respond to my asking if the package had been returned to them.

      ETA I finally got my eyes. The package was post-marked two days after I made this post, so I think posting a complaint to this thread is pretty effective if you're still waiting on your eyes as well.

      They're really gorgeous eyes but one pair is not the colour I ordered. Since they are really pretty and it's been such a pain to contact Jpopdolls I haven't attempted to resolve the issue.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? One set of eyes arrived. The other set was out of stock, and I am told I was supposed to get a note about it, but didn't. Apparently they were shipped by temporary help. They had some damage, from being bumped around in transit. I emailed Jpopdolls, of course, willing to communicate. The correspondence was polite, and apologetic. The problem was resolved privately. : )

      * How was the communication? Non-existent. One email bounced back as undeliverable, the other two emails to different listed addresses went unanswered.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy.
      * How long did it take to ship? One and a half months.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No idea, they never arrived.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Never arrived so I don't know.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? N/A
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They didn't. Nobody answered my emails about where my order is.

      This was my first and probably last time ordering from JPopDolls. I don't expect to see my money, merchandise or any more communication from them.

      * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer? The two Kana wigs and the eyes came from the site. I purchased the Winds style wig directly from Grael, here on DOA. It was not listed as in-stock on the site at the time.

      * How was the communication? I received notifications for everything, from confirmation to order shipping. I also had no problems contacting them when I had issues regarding my orders. *see Note Below

      * How easy was it to pay? Very. I love that they use Paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship? I usually received my orders in 3/4 business days.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, I've been thrilled with all of the items I've received. The eyes I purchased are an especially great value - lovely glass eyes for the cost of a pair of cheap acrylics.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The wigs - yes. The eyes definitely do not look like the sales photos, especially the A16. The stock photo is horrid, I was really nervous about buying these (they ended up being my favorite pair of eyes). The HA-021 don't really match either, the photo shows a much lighter lime color. The eyes are actually much nicer in person. Jpop really needs to update their eye stock images.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Very. I was especially pleased with how soft the wigs were.
      * Would you order from this company again? Yes.

      * NOTE:There were a couple of small bugs when I ordered. One wig that I ordered was accidentally sent in the wrong size and an eye color I ordered ended up out of stock. It's nothing that I'd hold against them because the situations were handled very professionally and promptly. In the case of the too-large wig I actually received the replacement before I could send back the one that was wrong.

      Well, 5 days after I received a shipping notice for my order (which was on July 9th), I suddenly got a refund for one of the pairs of eyes I ordered. Apparently, they were out of stock. It caught me on a bad day, and I sent an angry email to Jpopdolls about it. They answered promptly, and though I wasn't entirely satisfied with their answer, I left it at that.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Oh very easy. Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I have no idea. I got the mail saying the order was completed on July 9th, but the tracking never updated. Just got the package today.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes.

      Colors are more vivid in real life.

      Yes, finally.

      There were multiple pairs of eyes on the site that looked to be the same colour, and as I couldn't figure out which best matched the colour I wanted (and in fact couldn't tell the difference between two different pairs of eyes based on the pics) I chose to buy two distinctly different ones that I thought were about right. When they arrived, the colour of both was more towards the violet end of blue, which I wasn't expecting, but one of the two pairs was still enough of a true blue that that pair worked.

      Yes, though in truth neither of the pairs were exactly the colour I thought I was ordering.

      Yes, I love their wigs. ^^ The eyes are very nice, but better, consistently lit photos that show the true colour of each type of eyes would help.

      It's even nicer than I imagined it would be. The wig itself is so soft, it's almost real feeling. I originally bought it with the intent to cut shorter but I'm actually afraid to ruin it!​

      I got a shipping notice on the 10th despite they say that order could be delayed because of rush orders. However, i got the package on the 29th which is quite long for something coming from the US. Ordered some cloths from Mint on Card on the 9th and received the package one week after. Maybe they didn't send it out on 10th or the Canadian customs got picky about it, i don't know.

      I've purchased wigs from Jpopdolls several time this year. IF I can actually find them in stock in the size and color I want, the shipping is quick and the quality is good to excellent.

      My biggest issue with them is that they continue to list wigs that have long since sold out and -- much to my suprise upon direct inquiry -- will never be sold in that particular style/size/color ever again due to limited production on each style. It's a huge time sink to shop on their web site and I REALLY wish they'd clean it up!

      On the other hand, I've had fantastic customer service from them, so I guess I shouldn't complain :)

They were really kind and helpfull! One of my friends wished to get her money back, and one wished to get another wig, and I was thinking perhaps to buy another wig with it and just give extra money,, I would give the refund myself, to my friend who wished that,, but then JpopDolls said that it had been their fault, and that we were allowed to look for 2 wigs, no matter the price, and that she would pay shipping costs. They were really friendly and patient when I was asking them all sorts of things, and they gave me all the time of the world.

I opted for the substitution, and they mailed out the package a day later, with a new tracking number from Paypal.

      A week+ to actually get to the post office, 2 days in transit.

      The Monique wig is fantastic, the Kana wig is just sad. The back and a part of the front are so sparse that the wig cap can be seen through it, and even with extensive styling it's still obvious. It also seemed to be unraveling and I had to repair it straight out of the package.

They refunded me for the missing wigs the same day and asked that I send back the wrong wigs and they would send out replacements and pay for the shipping. Communication was spotty as they said their assistant was out of the office and they were handling things solo. I asked 1/20/17 for their shipping address. Contacted them again 1/23/17 for their shipping address. Contacted them again 1/24/17 for their shipping address and expressed my concern over the lack of communication. 1/24/17 they emailed me back with their shipping address and the above excuse. 1/25/17 I mailed out the wigs and submitted for paypal to pay for my return shipping. The seller never again offered or provided any refund for the return shipping but paypal did.

      (3/17/22) Was going to also get PayPal involved, but was shown three email addresses for JPop so sent another email hopefully going directly to owner. This will be fourth email sent and still no change in tracking and no reply from JPop on last email.

      Today ( 3/18/22 ) I sent dispute info to PayPal as I was afraid CC company alone might not help. Also wanted JPop on PayPal's radar. I have read on Instagram that maybe police should be involved. How does one even do that if not in your state?
      4/6/2022 - JPop is now in the past. I have received refund through PayPal as they found in my favor. My CC wanted more info, but I got my refund finally credited to my account and I am now the amount less in my bill for the coming month. I am sorry that JPop doesn't seem to run as good as when Grace was alive, but if the business is to much for the daughter, maybe she should just sell it to someone who can run it better and save it before the good name her mom built is totally ruined.

      Layla was quick to answer my questions about how long the preorder should take to arrive prior to when I ordered (about 3-5 months was the estimate I was given).

      Since then, sometimes she answers sometimes she doesn’t, and when she does she keeps her responses vague. I’ve been told my order would arrive “soon” multiple times and was given a concrete month once for when it’d arrive, of which that month came and went with no follow up. Any information I’ve gotten about my order has been by having to go out of my way to contact Layla myself or through posts in the Nobledolls thread and other social media sites.

      In February 2022, Asella posted on their own FB page that they spoke with 2 casters that Jpopdolls had been known to use before (Fdoll and Island Doll), and they said they haven’t received any orders for Asella’s sculpts from Jpopdolls in some time.

      Layla of Jpopdolls responded by saying Asella was misinformed, but hasn’t offered any sort of proof that orders have actually been made (and I have no idea who they’re using to cast dolls in this case) and has only told myself and other customers that the dolls are set to arrive in spring, and if not, we will be refunded. I was also told in that email that she’d make a public post about what Asella had to say, as well as a proper delivery date, but as of today (March 10, 2022), she has made no such posts from what I’ve seen on her FB page, which is where she posts more reliably. She only made a post regarding Kaye Wiggs dolls that are also behind schedule.

      On March 4th, I emailed Layla again for an update for the delivery date for Asella’s dolls, as well as asking why a post hasn’t been made yet regarding the accusations. I also asked who her caster is if she isn’t using the ones Asella thought she was. As of posting this review (March 10th), I haven’t received a reply.

      * When did you order?
      January 2020, March 2021

      * Did you order directly from the company, or through a distributor or dealer?
      Through JpopDolls

      * How was the communication?
      Absolute rubbish. When I first contacted them, I politely asked about layaway, and received a brusque answer that boiled down to 'how long?'. I replied and received no further communication. So I took the hint, worked hard to scrape together enough money, and bought the first Raspberry.

      A year passed, during which I made exactly two inquiries- at the first one, I was told they would be coming in 'a few weeks' (This was July). Autumn came, and my second inquiry received no reply. I was not yet aware that JpopDolls has a recent history of stealing customers' money, so I assumed this was along the lines of my not-as-good experiences with a couple of other US dealers, and that I would get the doll eventually. Therefore, when my grail Raspberry was announced for preorder a year later, I again scraped together the funds to purchase her.

      It was early into this year when Asella, the artist behind Noble Dolls, was contacted by a number of us, and realized that not only had she never been paid for these 'preorders', she had nothing to do with them. She contacted both of the casting companies whom Jpop had contracted with in the past, and neither had received orders in years.

      Before I could do anything, I received a copy-paste email along with the majority of fellow customers- some of whom got emails with the wrong name pasted in the address- calling Asella a liar and a slanderer and assuring us that Leila would take legal action against her.

      I thanked her for the followup, and warned her that I might be taking legal action of my own if she did not refund my money. After much dodging and spotty communication, I did eventually receive the sample copy of the Grey Elf Raspberry used for the site pictures, which I passed along to the rightful owner. But she has never refunded me, despite agreeing to, nor done anything about the Dark Tan Raspberry I am owed, except marking the order as 'Complete' on the site. The PayPal bill is still sitting open, and has been since April. Leila is a liar and a thief.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      They are all too happy to take your money. You will be charged instantly, then ignored.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I have not- and will not receive- the Dark Tan Elf Raspberry, as she does not exist. Getting the grey one was a saga unto itself. When she finally agreed to send me the sample doll, she waited several days, then uploaded a blank tracking number that sat for a week and a half. I made a public callout post on Instagram on the discussion post concerning her, and someone pointed out that I could hit her for fraudulent shipping. The very next day, Raspberry was finally shipped. Roughly two years, two months after her 'preorder'.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      The Raspberry I received was old stock from Grace's era, and the sealant on the faceup had yellowed. Standard loosened stringing from age. Still her quality was fantastic- I was very sad I could not keep her. However, I must still say 'no', because in addition to lying and stealing from her customers, Leila raised the price by an additional $200! Dolls from Asella were originally $450, and she charged $650, plus shipping.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes. Grey Raspberry was the exact doll in the pictures- do not trust her if she says she can send you a sample of that doll. I have already received the only one.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Absolutely not. I could walk outside and fill a box with air for free.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      By ignoring, lying, and trying to avoid me however possible until she was faced with the threat of legal action. Then ignoring the PayPal bill she was served accordingly. Unfortunately I was unable to re-obtain my money through PayPal, despite ongoing issues with her account, but I am still looking into reporting her to both the FBI and the police. If you go to the Jpop Facebook page, you can see furious customers with unfulfilled orders dating back for years. This woman has stolen tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars, and she has no intent of stopping.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      Nope. At least one person is suing her. I've looked into it myself more than once. Do not order from her, do not give her a moment of your time. She will only send out an old, yellowed sample doll left over from her mother's stock if she absolutely has to, and even then, she's far more likely to ignore you and just take your money.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      Already have! I can 100% recommend Asella's dolls. They're beautifully engineered.

      * How was the communication? Fine at first if a bit slow. Was told 4 months at first, the delays at the factory from COVID, then delays at the ports from COVID, then delays at jpop due to injury, then delays at jpop due to a dog being sick?? Now I can only get replies through Facebook and the poor girls handling that always say they have no idea what is going on.
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy
      * How long did it take to ship? Never shipped
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Don't have the doll
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Don't have the doll
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Wish I had the product to tell you.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Problem not resolved.
      * Would you order from this company again? Never. This was not my first order but it is my last.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably not. As much as I love raspberry I'm pretty bitter at having lost $550.

      This is the post from February 20, 2022 that Jpop Dolls is referring to that is on Facebook
      I contacted Jpop on March 8, 2022 and have never head back. No doll still. No updates on Facebook. Quite a few people have tried to file complaints with the Attorney General of Washington state and all complaints have been closed with no recourse for Jpop Dolls.
