Hope this is the right place to ask- how is the service of jpopdolls generally? I'm trying for some days to order something, but it takes days to get any reply...that is, IF you get any...I'm sort of disappointed
I'm not sure whats going on hun but I had SEVERAL transaction with them and they ALL went smooth. I bought 4 wigs and a DM body from them and I was in constant contact with her. I know she was going to a convention and was going to b unreachable for a bit...maybe that is it.
I've only had one Jpopdolls transaction, but it was great. I would buy from her again. I know she was in San Fran for Dollectable, which just happened. She may not be back to regular business after that.
Thanks for your comments! I know, she had been out, but was back, answered me once, but now I'm waiting again for an answer. Would like sooo much to get some stuff from her...ebay feedback is great, but I'd prefer to buy directly from the site
Although I've had several great transactions with JPop through eBay, the one time I dealt with them outside eBay, it was very slow and there was quite a bit of confusion on the JPop end. This is what happened: in early December of 2006, I emailed to ask whether I could exchange a wig that I had stupidly ordered in duplicate. After getting approval by return email, I packed up the wig and returned it immediately. Several weeks later, after no communication, I emailed to ask whether something had gone wrong. Apparently JPop had not recorded the package or kept the note that I included with the wig (explaining the exchange) when it arrived. In the end, JPop not only exchanged the wig, but very kindly sent me a second one to make up for the delay. Still, based on several emails that we exchanged over a week or so in mid-January, I was left with the feeling that they didn't quite believe I had ever returned the first wig (despite delivery confirmation, showing that the package arrived within three days of my mailing it). Granted, this was an unusual situation, and it ended well. And it was very generous of JPop to accept the exchange at all--I didn't really expect them to bother with that. Even so, I decided that I was better off ordering through eBay rather than trying to deal with JPop directly. Since then, I've had two more smooth eBay transactions with them, and I know I'll buy again--but I'm sticking with eBay, myself.
I think between the convention and the 1/2-price sale she's a bit overwhelmed. She hopped on ZOZ yesterday afternoon to say she was still trying to catch up, and from her profile, it looks like she was on DOA just last night. You could try sending her a pm - she is "grael" her on DOA. I've ordered both through her website and DOA and had nothing but great transactions. I know she really values her customers and tries very hard to provide the best customer service she can.
Whenever I order wigs from jpop on ebay, everything is perfect. The two times I've ordered from the jpop website....the order has come wrong. I was sent a curly wig instead of straight once. I was sent the wrong color shoes another time. Both times the mistake was corrected quickly by jpop, so overall I am pleased.
I just wanted to add to the consensus: On eBay, they're great, but through they're site they are extremely slow and somwhat confused at times. They're very friendly, though. ^^
Just to add my two pennys worth. I've ordered wigs from them via Ebay and had wonderful service. In fact I've just ordered 2 more!
O.k. then, maybe I should wait a little while longer....but it seems to be a difference between ordering directly or via Ebay...and unfortunately they don't offer in Ebay, what they are offering right now on th site
I've ordered a number of times from both Ebay and the site, and I've never had any problems. Actually, once I'd ordered right after I'd moved, but accidentally gave them the wrong address (I hadn't changed it over on Paypal yet). I realized my mistake and changed the address at paypal right away, but they'd already shipped the order, about $60 or $70 worth of wigs. I'd fully expected it to arrive at the old address, which would have been fine since I could have still retrieved it. Well, something got screwed up, and it never arrived at either address, and when I complained to the post office about it, nobody had any idea what had happened to it. It just sort of vanished off the face of the planet, it seems. Anyway, I emailed Jpopdolls and explained the situation and asked if there was any way for the order to be resent. I got a reply within a day. Unfortunately, the one wig was sold out, but I asked for an exchange of another wig, instead. Not only was I sent another order without being charged, but I was also given an extra wig, I guess to make up for the trouble, even though it was the post office's fault for losing the package entirely. I've since ordered several more times from Jpopdolls, both the site and ebay, and have had no trouble. In fact, I just ordered five wigs from the site the other day, and they've been shipped already. Definitely my favorite wig seller.
Grace (Grael) is JPOP Dolls. One dear person, ever so vibrant, generous and creative, and sometimes VERY BUSY She designs many of the wigs herself. So if JPOP is at a show like Dollectable, I can easily understand how it would take some catching up. Grace lives in my general area and comes to our monthly trunk shows. I adore her! You can order from her with complete confidence. The wigs are just great, I love the fiber and the stretchy wig caps make it SO much easier to fit some of our tougher in between sized doll heads (like SDC Ren). She recently started a mailing list on her site www.jpopdolls.net and has had some great sales and first dibs offerings. This may be making her more busy than usual. Hang in there - it is worth your time
Great...now everything got cleared. I just ordered, what I had wanted and Grace (Grael) is indeed very nice! Pardon this stickyness with this matter...
Sorry to bump up a month old thread, but I've been wanting to get a Jpop wig. From what I've read in this thread, ebay seems like a good choice to buy it from, but, what do I do if the wig I want is not listed in the ebay store? On the site is says they aren't sold out (I'm debating between a jpop cherry blue kana wig, or a monique hot pink jojo), but if they aren't showing up on the ebay store, does that mean she doesn't have them?
Ive only ever ordered from the internet store ive never had any problems tho. Ive just placed an order for another wig infact!
No problems with the store or buying on Ebay. If I remember correctly, the shipping can be slow sometimes, but inexpensive. The only problem I have had is that Monique Gold wigs are sometimes tighter than expected, and sometimes not. But that is regardless of where they are purchased. But I don't remember any communication/feedback problems, keeping in mind that but I usually just order, pay immediately, and then wait. Carolyn
I was looking at JPopDolls for a wig, and I was looking at the Kana style. It's the style and color I want, but from the pictures.. the material looks almost.. cheapish? Like that really soft material that gets REALLY messy and static.. I dunno what it's called though. xD BUT -- I know Monique Gold wigs look AWFUL in pictures, but they're absolutely wonderful quality. So the pictures don't mean a thing! So can anyone tell me how good the quality is on JPopDolls' wigs? :3
The Monique wigs and the Jpop wigs are basically the same thing. In fact, I think the person who creates the Jpop wigs also helped to design the Monique Gold Label wigs (someone correct me if I'm wrong, please). They're both made of the synthetic mohair, and the styles are very similar. For instance, if you compare Jpop's Kana wig and Monique's Jojo wig, there is very little difference between the style, except perhaps the coloring (the Jojo wigs are mostly blonde with colored streaks, while the Kana wigs come in all sorts of colors, and also are available in longer lengths). Over half the wigs I own are from Jpopdolls, and I can't say enough about the fabulous quality. Yes, the fibers are very fine and soft, and require some care to keep looking nice, but no more than the Gold Label wigs do. And that's what's so great about them. They're so light and look so realistic.
Depends on whether you like ultra-fine hair. That Gold Label stuff they call "synthetic mohair"-- which is apt-- you can tease this stuff & backcomb it & braid it, and it flows like real hair. But it doesn't really snarl up; you can tease it & then brush it gently out again, without crazing it. It's beautiful fiber, super soft, glossy, realistic, and the ones I have are also very thick. Downsides = Flyaways from hell. Static central. Gets messed up if you breathe on it. Will melt if you come near it with a dryer/iron. Fibers pull out easily (which is actually a good thing if you're trying to pull out one crazy-hair). Tips for coping = Marinate the ends (avoid the cap) in fabric-softener before wearing. Get a can of Static-Guard (and/or wig-oil spray) for regular use. Brushing it or patting it with water just before a photograph, that also works fine. Brush extra-extra-gently for long hair; I use a softbristle toothbrush. Here pictured is their butt-length "Paris" wig, all one length, extra long, extra straight, so every imperfection shows... and yet I managed not to make a mess of it, so it's possible. If you don't mind a little maintenance, it's great, but if not, don't bother.
Just like the two before me said, the quality is fabulous. The wigs are very soft and have really fine hairs. But the fine hairs also means you have to manage them otherwise they will turn into a mess. But it isn't a big deal, just make sure you use a fine brush and it'll be fine.
I use a Barbie brush with the large, spaced-out teeth to comb my wigs. It usually works pretty well and does not pull out the hair if you are gentle. I really love the softness and sheen that these wigs have; highly reccomended!
Fabulous quality - the very best wigs I own. And I own a lot of these. jpopdolls.com are the best to work with evah! Use a dryer anti-static cloth if you really hate the flyaways, or just let the wig go wild!
What Zagzagael said. More than half of this bunch of mine wear Monique's artificial mohair wigs, and I adore them. I do recommend carrying a static sheet with you when you're taking pictures, though, and you do need to brush them gently... But with a little care they hold up well and look good in photographs. (Yes, even the Gold styles.) They also have a great, soft texture that's fun to play with. ^_^
I have 3 wigs from this company and they are really nice. I have the kana long one which is so pretty. I also have 2 black Asia wigs, the first one that i received seems softer/less liable to get knotted than the second one. But even so the second one is good too it just knots easier. Id reccomend their wigs they are good stuff!
I have four - two Leeda, one Winds, and one Kana Long - and they are awesome. Gorgeous colors, great quality. I've washed all of them at least once and they do very well in a plain shampoo and a drop or two of fabric softener. Also, I've seen minimal shedding. I highly recommend them.
I can't say enough about these wigs ! I have the Kana long & Kana short in several colors each and in sizes 6-7, 7-8 and 8-9. They fit well, stay on nicely, and wash up beautifully. The colors are rich and they can be styled easily. What's not to like about that .
Hello, I'm wondering if JPop dolls is a good company ot order from. I'm looking to buy a wig, and I'd like to know things like: -Shipping prices -Shipping times -Customer service -Quality of product (though I've heard the wigs are fabulous & love them already) -General feedback And also, how their Ebay store compares? Thanks in advance ♥
I only have one and I love it. It's really soft and looks like real hair Edit: -Shipping prices; They usually charge $4.60 in US -Shipping times: Really fast. I had my wig before I expected. -Customer service: They are really nice and always write back quickly. -Quality of product (though I've heard the wigs are fabulous & love them already): very good. It feels better than real hair. I wish mine felt that way LOL -General feedback: 10/10
Grace, of Jpop, lives in the US. All the wigs ship priority in the US and come super fast. The quality of the service is the best. The wigs are fantastic. Jpop is constantly coming out with new designs and colors. The fibers are so silky and soft. The wigs do run a bit small, but some come with extremely stretchy caps as well. With the Jpop collection, I find that the wigs can be limited. If you like something you have to buy it before it goes out of stock or you may never find it in stock again. The ebay store and online store are the same person. I have never had a long wait from either place. I have even shopped through email. You do have to consider that it is a real person, and that things in life do come up and sometimes things are delayed.
I agree with what others have said. The fibers are very fine and soft, absolutely gorgeous (and it's hard for me not to pet them, lol!). But they do take a little extra care to keep the flyaways and tangles at bay. Also, I've always had great customer service, and super-fast shipping in the US. The super-stretchy elastic on the wigs is just about perfect, too. It helps keep them snug on the doll's head without needing to use velcro or moleskin.
Oh, wonderful! Thank you guys so much. They sound really good. Now all I need to do is decide which wig to order xD
Good luck with that... I just usually end up with one of each. Or sometimes two Ok, so I exaggerate, but yes, they're wonderful wigs.
Looks like you've already been convinced, but I'm here to tell you that I have several of Grace's wigs and they are awesome! In fact, I just ordered another one this past weekend! I've ordered from both the website and the ebay store and had no problems with either one.
Thanks a lot everybody! ^w^ Still deciding though.... do you thik the short or long Kana wigs will ever come back in stock? (I need a light/beach blonde wig). There are a lot of wigs that are so pretty though ~♥
I have two of her short Kana wigs, and they're wonderful. Very much like the Monique Gold collection wigs, in the JoJo style. They're beautifully cute and styled, and really soft. And Grace is absolutely awesome to deal with. Looks like she's got a lot of the Kana long in stock now...(tho' I don't know what size you're looking for), on ebay. Hope that helps.
I just wanted to add that I bought through e-bay & I really love the wig! I wasn't expecting the quality to be as good as it is actually, I am very pleased with my wig. It is super soft, and a beautiful color. The shipping was also quick, which was great since my poor baby was bald till I got it! I'm sure I will be a repeat customer.
I have 2 of their wigs, pretty girl and ginger, and I am especially impressed by the beauty and quality of pretty girl. It looks so natural and is so soft to touch, I cannot help but patting my doll on the head when he wears it (These are Monique Gold wigs ordered from Jpop btw, I have not tried out the Kana wigs yet.)
Just chimming in again. The JPop and Moniques wigs are great. I love how they photograph. The fine size of the fibers is much more in scale especially for the smaller sizes. Dolls & Friends also have a fairly good stock of Grace's wigs, as she is there nearly every month for the Seattle/Bellevue area trunk shows and doll meets. So if you are having trouble finding the exact one you are pining for, look at dolls and friends too.
Where did this thread appear from?? I could have sworn there wasn't one here for JPopdolls when I started one myself....but then again sometimes I can't see things for looking lol. Anyway I'll repeat more or less what I said there here. I ordered two wigs from their eBay store early December and received them very quickly. I purchased a 6-7" Kana Long in French Ink (lovely mix of purple and slate grey) and a 6-7" Ashes in Burgundy. The Kana was a bit tight at first and required slight stretching to fit the doll it was intended for but it unstretched it did fit my BC Kumi fine. The Ashes wig fitted my HappyDoll (who's head is closer to the 7" mark) straight away, no stretching needed. Quality wise I'm very impressed by these wigs, they are silky soft and very full. I'd definately purchase from them again!
These wigs are my most favorite ever. I have tons of them, Grace must be getting tired of my orders by now ^^ She is very friendly and gives great service, the shipping is really fast and the quality is great. I especially appreciate the fact that you doesn´t see the net below the hair, like it´s often with other wigs. I can really absolutely recommed them!
I just got 3 wigs from Jpopdoll. Great wigs, fair price, good transaction and fast e-mail response (I guess she does all e-mail response during midnight, all e-mail replied within 1 day!!) I contacted her because my package was flattened by stupid USPS (zip bag was ripped, carbon packaging material were terribly bended, and my BJ wig got a strange kink at one side) she taught me how to deal with the kink and reshape those flattened wigs I'm still doing experiment with BJ, still no guts to deal with Hiroki *cry* Jpopdoll has really high quality wigs but there is a little color difference between photos they had on Website and actual wig I ordered a light blue kana and it is really "blue" light blue on their photo the actual wig is in thin blue, which is much lighter than their photo but I'm totally happy with that since I don't really like "blue" light blue :P overall, I love Jpopdoll wigs new colors just came in (which means I need to save for wigs ^^||||)
I've ordered a couple of wigs from JPopDolls through eBay & both times everything has gone smoothly I have a Kana wig & a Monique one & both are beautifully soft- I'm still waiting for the dolly to arrive for the Monique wig, but I'm sure it will look great on her!
JPOP is fantastic! Fast shipping and great quality..... Also very fast response to email questions. I have bought from JPOP via eBay but have now switched to direct buying on the website.
Just wanted to add that I bought another wig directly from her. I paid for it Monday and it came today (Wednesday). Unbelievably quick! & I ADORE the wig!! It is 6-7 Monique Gold Roxie in Nearly Black and I love it. The quality is great (lots of fine hairs and you can't see the net). I really hope they make this size and style in more color choices! Love these wigs and am bound to be a repeat cotumer!
I've just got the 2 wigs ordered from the site on 10 of April. The wigs has arrived earlier than I expected. Fast shipping and fast response to email Everything has gone smoothly and I would buy from them next time. Now to try them on my doll head when he's here...
I ordered two wigs and a violet fern outfit from jpop and they were all even better than I was expecting. I ordered them from her website and they got here in about a week and a half which is the fastest I've ever recieved anything I ordered for my doll.
I've ordered twice from JPopDolls, once via their eBay store, once via their website. The communication was good, both orders shipped and arrived quickly, the quality is good. I plan on ordering more wigs in the future. My one issue is that there's no description of the more fanciful color names--names like "Shimmer", "Wintermoon", "French Ink" (I found out from this thread what colors that one actually is), etc. A simple description like "A pinky lavender" would make me more likely to order, as I am reluctant to order a wig I'm not certain is showing proper color on my monitor. (Actually, I probably ought to email them about that, since I'm probably not alone in that.)
What did you order? Wig "Siren" French Ink Wig "Faith" Black When did you order? May 6 and May 13 How was the communication? Great. How easy was it to pay? Fast with PayPal. How long did it take to ship? 3 business days. Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? YES! Did the item look like the sales pictures? Even better in person. Faith wig is so smooth and the Siren French Ink wig is very unique. Were you satisfied with the product? Want more!
I've bought many, many wigs from Grace both JPop and Monique Gold, both from her website and from eBay. Her communication has always been great, service is very quick, and the product is beautiful. I agree I would maybe like a more generalized description of wig colors (like mix of lavendar, blue, pink rather than Shimmer or French Ink) but that would be my only complaint (and it isn't really much of a complaint). She stands behinds her products as well.
The quality of the hair is amazing...but my wig is crooked (even the part) and the way it was packaged led to many flyaways...a box would have been nice for it... So I can't say it was good or bad really.
I have various Jpop wigs and they are my favourite of all types of wigs ^_^ I have five in all, I think. Two of them came in a wig net and padded envelope, I agree the box would have been nice because they got a little messy in transit. One came completely crushed behond any kind of repair because it had been sent through airmail in a regular envelope but I was refunded and told I could keep it, so I was overall happy about that as I was able to replace it ^^ One I bought second hand and was fine, another I got second hand from someone who had bought through Dolls & Friends, and they had sent it in a box, so it is perfect. I love the softness of the wigs. For synthetic, they feel really really real. ^^ I adore them! In fact, I'm on a never-ending quest for a Kana Long darkc chocolate one 8-9 XDDD
I've ordered a few batches of wigs from jpopdolls on ebay and through her store, both her own wigs and the Monique ones, while getting ready for my girls to get here. Every time, everything went very smoothly. Shipping was faster than I ever expected (even during her big sale when she must have been swarmed with orders!), communication was great, and the pictures were very clear for the color and style. I'm incredibly impressed all around. She carries some really unique and beautiful colors, and her own line of colors is absolutely to die for especially. The way the colors are blended gives them a really great 'natural' look, even on unnatural colors like the greens and pinks, which is absolutely fantastic, and the combinations on the two-tone wigs are really nicely put together. Her color combinations, in my opinion, are much nicer than the Monique color combinations.
