Ordering JPopDolls Communication

Jan 15, 2020

    1. I have a silly question concerning JPop Dolls.

Roughly three weeks ago, I emailed them asking if they took layaway. Within the same day I got a short one-sentence reply asking which doll I wanted. I replied, then waited a week. Nothing. I tried again and waited another week. Still nothing.

I was able to scrape together just enough to afford her, and placed the order. Or rather, Paypal took my money. No confirmation email, no 'thank you for purchasing' automail, no order number... nada. They took my money and dead silence.

As a first-time customer, this has been an offputting experience. Is this how they are normally? Only answering questions they like, and not acknowledging purchases? I don't want to drop money on a preorder only to never receive the doll.

    2. I've never bought a doll from them, but I have bought many wigs. I've never had to ask them a question, so I'm not sure about communication, but I don't think I ever got an order confirmation or tracking update. Seems like shipping sometimes did take a few days on in stock items, but everything always arrived. Check your JpopDolls account and make sure your order is in your account history. I hope you hear from them soon!

    3. I have only ordered wigs as well, and one of my orders got lost during the holiday season. I emailed them that I had not received them, and initially got no response. After the 2nd email she looked into it, and said she had no idea, who knows what happened during the holidays, and sent my wigs out promptly. I think it is just a matter of not enough people to cover a busy time. That is my guess anyway. I was ultimately happy with my transaction even though it took a minute. I also once put together an order after a great deal of consideration about which wigs I was ordering only to find out ultimately that they were out of stock. It was not really obvious on the website until I tried to place the order (if that makes sense). That was extremely annoying, but they didn’t take my money, just cost me a lot of time. From what I know about Jpop, I don’t think you have anything to worry about, but I certainly understand your frustration. I would feel the same.

    4. I have dealt with jpopdolls several times. The dolls shown on their site are only available through preorder and only certain dolls at certain times. Sometimes there can be a long wait time for preorders. One order took 11 days short of one year!! Ocassionally they used to have 'extras' sales on Sunday afternoon but you better have a fast computer because the turnaround from pressing the enter button to put it in your cart and getting it paid is iffy at best. I have had it in my cart and it's gone before I could get it paid for. The manager had health issues last year and no emails were being answered for quite awhile. Wigs seem to be the biggest complaint with orders being mixed up or parts missing. All that said, the dolls they offer are only available there or a limited few at shows throughout the year, or on the secondary market. They are a reliable firm but you may have to work at getting communication.

    5. Yeah, responding to email is not their strong suit

But it might be just that they are busy. To be truthfull I am not that good with email either. It bombards my inbox with 100 emails a day of which maybe 3 are really relevant, but it takes a long time to weed through them. So if its the same for them I understand.

    6. @CloakedSchemer , @ajgood , @lkayet , @Luna_and_Stelladolls ,

I have to apologize for the long reply myself. They laid off a pile of my coworkers and the four of us left have been compensating ever since.

Thank you, All, for your help! They did eventually get back to me; took quite some time. My order is properly sorted on the website now; all that's left to do is wait. I'm thankful; she's one of my few MSD grails.

    7. Well that explains a lot. I still don’t have my doll thiugh, even though they said it would be shipped in june

    8. Deep conserns about Jpopdolls. I still haven’t got my ordered doll and they stopped responding to any emails. I am afraid after Grace died the daughter just ran with the money and never ordered the dolls. Asella from Noblesdolls actually asked the caster and they said Jpopdolls never ordered the dolls from them.

    9. There have been a lot of issues with people getting scammed by jpop dolls. I wouldn’t trust it to purchase anything from them.

    10. Oh hell, I should have read this first. I’ve just ordered a KW Miki from them for approx $600? What do you thing I should do?

    11. Ask for a refund if possible. I would hesitate at a chargeback but keep that in your back pocket if they refuse.

    12. Sorry for being an ignoramus but what is a chargeback. Luckily I paid with PayPal and I believe I can raise the issue with them. I’ll try email first.
      Thanks for replying.

    13. A chargeback is basically contacting your card holder to reverse a charge due to suspicious reasons. Since you used PayPal, you can use the "dispute" feature.

    14. Thanks for explaining.

    15. I have had an email from Layla (Grace’s daughter) before I had a chance to email her, saying that my Miki is ready for shipping and is waiting to be picked up by USPS, weather permitting. I’ll let you all know when she arrives.

    16. Hi i was wondering did you received your bjd?

I'm glad I found out about this before I bought from them.
I am sad for everyone who lost money it is disrespectful.
I really wanted to buy a Paris long dust wig that is online

    17. I never got mine and they actually deleted my orders from my account… i would not risk ordering anything from them.

    18. The website is gone. Good thing I took a screenshot of my order. Not that I still expect to ever see a refund from this evil scam operation.
