Joydoll J-Baby skeleton discussion

I love these dolls! I do not have one but definately plan to bring one home some day. They are the cutest thing, the sculpting is beautiful.

 

I've seen one on Flickr somewhere that had been arted up so wonderfully. Well beyond anything I could imagine.
Mind blown, as they say. Now I see them as a canvas of possibilities!

 

I think I’m going to have to get one of these guys. I really want the pumpkin head, and I mean, why not both??

I really really want two pumpkin heads, one with skeleton body and one with normal, and a skeleton, but that may not be in the budget.

Omg these are the cutest thing ever. If I didn't already have my Walloya Morring baby skeleton I'd have to order one.

 

Mine came a few days ago, and the doll and coffin box are just perfect. I need to figure out clothes next.

 

Yup, looks like these guys can wear generic YOSD sized clothes

They take 14mm size eyes with flat backs or half rounds. The 14mm eye chips for Blythe dolls will also fit so they can be used if you want to make your own eyes.

Btw @ShuriTigerH I wonder if it might be a good idea to link here the unboxing thread you did? It has such a lot of good info and photos with your unboxing and review that it might be helpful to make it easier to find for people who are interested in these dolls

 

@Epicari Your skelly is so adorable and kinda sassy. That is a doll that knows they look good and will strut around town head held high.

@Wyrd Thank you! She sits in another outfit as a default, but that little dress has a tulle yoke that lets her collarbone and ribs peek through beautifully! It's a Dollmore dress, and still in stock.

I ordered a pumpkin head during the preorder, but plan on putting mine on an msd body I think.

 

I did put a skeleton, full pumpkin head and just pumpkin head on layaway, and was told after I paid payment 2, the skeleton would ship! So my new skeleton is home now

I’m slightly paranoid about damaging them, but very excited to figure out what I want to do with them!

@Grimalkin thanks! I got white. I am not sure what I’m going to do with him… I have several horror-themed dolls that are blank atm so I need to work on figuring them all out as a unit maybe

I would love to get a second skeleton myself- I would like to put the second pumpkin head on it…

Can anyone confirm what their turnaround time was for the J-Baby? I placed my order Oct 20 but still not a shipping notice. Purchased via Moonlight btw.

Edit: Just saw the post on Moonlight's website that orders placed BEFORE Oct won't arrive until Feb-March..yikes. So looks like I got a few months a minimum.

 

This is one of the dolls I’ll never regret spending money on! They are so expressive and cute!

So cute. Absolutely love this body.

 

She'll probably be ok! Mine took FOREVER to get here - they just sat in the US eternally until tracking suddenly updated and they were out for delivery. Then the box looked like it had been tossed to the porch from the plane. but they were packaged within an inch of their lives and everything inside the box was fine!

That might not have helped. lol

Hi all! I love all these skellies SO much! I’ve been looking at them for months on and off and I just can’t get them off my mind… They just have my name all over them ha. Are they truly limited though, or are there releases of them from time to time? By the looks of this page they’re released every once in a while, but kind of at random? I found Joy dolls profile to follow on instagram but any info is appreciated!

I think they are releasing every once in a while randomly. They are made by a single person, not a company, so I guess they do a preorder when they feel like it.
I recommend following NewCloverSinging on instagram, you can buy one though them when there is a preorder. I’ve bought mine there.

 

Earlier this year I saw the artist mention on one of thier pages (I think it was on thier weibo) that they might do some more skellys toward the end of this year. Like @Lillyevergold I also got mine through Clover-Singing so hopefully they will offer them again with her as a dealer

 

@Lillyevergold and @Epicari thank you, I plan to keep my eyes peeled! I’ve always wanted a skeleton style doll and these ones are so realistic, spooky and somehow cute all at the same time. I’d love to have one to keep my pipos Cheshire company!

 

I need one of these little skeletons! I hope Joy does another preorder soon.
