20–39cm Dolls Josie, 24 cm mouse girl

May 17, 2019

    1. I have started sculpting her a while ago and now I am pretty much done with overall design. I wanted a fantasy doll in 23 - 27 cm range that could wear Blythe and Pure Neemo clothing and 1/8 shoes. I am also hoping she will wear 10 mm eyes, but it may end up being 8 mm.
I will work on posing the hands differently and possibly making the body a little thinner, but I will not be adding much more detail because I have an ancient printer which will not print fine features of a tiny doll anyway.
The plan is to print all the parts and cover them in thin layer of stone clay, since it is much easier to sand than PLA and it can be used to refine smaller parts (face, hands and such). I have printed a hand as a test to see how well the clay would stick to the surface and it actually worked really well. This is just a proof of concept part, the joint is somewhat crooked and I do not really like how the finger are posed, but it gave an idea of what scale she will be and some feel for working with the clay.
Below are pictures of progress so far. Any criticism is welcome :3
