Shopping Jointed Hands with long nails

I don't know for sure, but Resinsoul has jointed hands for a body around that size, and they might be able to add longer nails for an additional fee. I have some of their smaller 1/3 scale jointed hands, and they're really nice!

 

Seconding Resinsoul, they will color match (I've seen people send in pantone paint chips to match or even parts of the doll to match) and their darker resin tones are absolutely lovely. I have some of the 68 cm hands, and can confirm they are very good! My only gripe is how much the fingers move around, but I just need to wire them! I would shoot a message to Sun to make sure the wrists are the same size (if not, and you have to mod the hands smaller, Resinsoul dyes their resin all the way throughout, so you can sand it with no problem) or similar, as they don't have the wrist sizes on their website. The bigger jointed hands definitely have slightly longer nails but as quilleth said, Resinsoul is VERY open to customizing the dolls to what the owner wants, so would more than likely be willing to do this (they will do similar adjustments, like ear changes and such, for their dolls usually so I feel they probably would here too)!

Oh, you need big ones! I've seen some big ones on Taobao. You can also buy silicone moulds for BJD nails. I've bought some on TB... Hmhmhm! You can buy jointed hands and do nails yourself, I think some people did so on Reddit.

On Xianyu (Chinese secondhand market), I've seen some hands by ycdoll. There were, at one point, these cool gloves: clawsies! You could use Superbuy or ask Christina from NCS for help navigating Taobao and such. But that's more of an option if you're not in the US. If you are... You might have to wait for a bit, haha. >>

Soom at one point had these beauties. Maybe someone would sell them secondhand?

Not 1/3, but Gem has some nice ones: clawed feet and animal paws for 1/4!

Based on their other post, I guess ycdoll offers these colours. And they seem to sell their stuff through moonlightbjd, which I haven't used, so I dunno how reliable they are. But maybe you could contact them and ask them about the hands? :'o

 

@RoyalRegals I found on RedNote that they did some colour updates, so they might have a better range now. I think the darker colours are warmer-toned now?
And depending on your doll's skin colour and outfits, you might be able to pull a lighter colour with just some extra blushing or darker pastels.

 

Another Secret currently has a running preorder for jointed claw hands. They posted the link in the news section a couple of days ago.

 

I think there's that one newish dealer in the UK that offers preorders for ANS, and then there's an order sheet that you can mail them (you can click on their website link to find the latter and more information).

 

You can only order the hand parts from AnotherSecret if you are buying a doll body, full doll, or have previously purchased a doll/full doll from them. You can't order them if you're just buying a head or the hand parts on their own. I desperately wanted to order hands but didn't qualify. Hopefully in the future if they make a doll body in the size I am looking for.

 

DFA does have samples on hand! I had the equivalent of Soom's bronze tan matched to their body + hands.

I use these hands on my guy. He is 70cm on the DFA body, but I like how they look a lot, and they don't feel overly large. I can't remember if Alice is able to get them to match (always worth asking), but New Clover Singing helped me with my match when I purchased years ago.

 

Oh wow, I didn't see that one! If you want them super bad, maybe you could find someone for a split order or something (although that might be difficult and ANS only lists the wrist diameter instead of the circumference, so it's unclear if the hands would fit)? It's probably going to be easier to look for other option.

Companies always change it up, but I would email to check! Tan offerings are always so limited, that in my situation, I emailed out of desperation lol.

I would definitely use Alice or Christina and ask if they have other tans they can match. Some companies have backed off of matching for many years; it's actually the reason why I have a DFA body since DFH had stopped when I acquired my boy like 3-4 years ago. DFA was still willing to match, but it's so hard to say who is still doing what. (Like Impldoll used to match, but they put a hold on matching when they were getting extremely behind on orders, etc.)

 

If you change your mind about finding someone to do a split order with for ANother secret, they sell adapters to fit 2 cm wrists.
