Shopping Japanese Online shops for international buyers

When I think of Japan, AiL "Alice in Labyrinth" immediately comes to mind. I love my Alice - she is so original because the joints are really shaped like balls ^_^

Alchemic Labo operates in yen and you can buy directly. You won't need a proxi per se, but a Japanese address/shipping service based in japan (there are instructions on their website). Dolk has a Japanese store, Parabox, too, if you're into vinyl/obitsu. Second hand dolls get auctioned on Yahoo!Japan.

One pitfall with purchasing from Japan in EU is that the shipping is still expensive and we get hit with import fees as well so it's not exactly *that* cheap in the very end (plus the dreaded local courier handling fees) but you mentioned you've been buying from manda/volks so I guess you already know! For smaller stuff it might make sense to use a proxi service and ship a bigger box with purchases from various stores all together - I've been using dejapan which has been easy enough.

 

I recently ordered from Melodyc.org, they operate in Yen as well. They have some lovely Lolita-esque clothes, shoes and accessoires, I can really recommend them. Shipping for pre-order dresses was quite fast, too.
Plus they mark down their packages, I think I paid about 7€ to FedEx for import fees so no big deal.

HLJ is another that mostly deals with figures but you can find Azone products for sale and some of these will fit Dollfie Dreams. Currency can be changed in the bottom right corner.

CotinDoll
CotinDoll specialize in DD size wigs. They also carry resin eyes and DollHearts clothing. It used to let you change the currency to JPY but maybe I'm just not seeing it on the page now.


With Booth you're dealing with individuals and circles rather than shops. Sometimes descriptions will mention international shipping but many require a proxy as you said.

 

Just wanted to point out that though Dolk has a Japanese store, it only ships within Japan. And I think I've heard their payment systems are limited to payment methods in Japan?

And I've never bought from Nightfall but they are actually based in Hong Kong. They do have a Japanese store though. Not sure of the logistics, but from a brief mock order, it seems like their JP store might only ship within Japan?

Other Japanese stores that ship overseas are Dollce and Dollbot. I've bought from both before.

Can only comment on Nightfall- they take PayPal on their English site and ship internationally!
