Hello yes I have been summoned.

Jacoosun rous are my FAVORITE dolls. I have to upload a pic here for my profile, but I am ALL ABOUT ROUS now. I have many and have been working on hybriding all of my old style body rous onto the new bodies because the improved head movement and posability is amazing.

I currently have:
Girls -
2 original Catmos (1 pale, 1 tan), 1 Zong (tan), 1 Rou 2.0 (pale), 2 new little rous ( 1 pale, 1 tan), and soon to be 3 nana rous (1 of each color).
Boys -
1 New Little rou (tan).

I also ordered 3 of the Catmo 2.0s. Not sure if I'm going to keep them all, but I couldn't decide on color.

 

They're so cute~
I hope I can own one in the future.

 

I'm so happy to see a thread for these gorgeous dolls. I have one Nana Rou (if I have the name right) from the last release. I've not photographed her yet though!

 

I "accidentally" acquired another nana rou myself - thought this one is modded with her eyes more opened. And I found a new style body only for sale so I can work on having my sleeping new little rou girl's eyes opened and make her her own doll. So the last rou on my list to acquire is a Vainilladolly collab rou. But. I'm not holding my breath on that one. I'm getting excited for the catmo 2.0's - we should be close to them starting to ship I hope.

I've reached "completion" with my collection - something I was striving for for nearly 2 decades in this hobby. It took finding rous for me to be able to reach that. But of course, as I told my spouse, I am leaving room for future rou acquisitions only.

 

You can't order the bodies only unfortunately - mine have been found from second hand sales of people having multiple heads on one body or putting onto old style bodies or what not. It's definitely a slow process, trying to find new style bodies only available for purchase. I did acquire 2 bodies that were actually from Jacoosun as bodies only - they were overstock from the Nana release and sold to someone who sold me 2 of them.

I'll try and get some more photos of everyone soon I hope! Working on getting everyone painted, eyes and wigs and what not.

 

I recently purchased a 2nd nana Rou. This time she is the Tina collaboration, so slightly smaller eyes than my first one. I can't wait to get her a face up and clothes.

 

Did anyone else get lucky enough to catch the VainillaDolly Collab release? Or, I guess they're calling it the ORou? It was a little crazy - just randomly dropping a limited number preorder with absolutely no preamble or warning.

 

I just discovered these dolls on Flickr. I am so in love and I so wish I had seen them sooner so I could get one of the pre-orders, just missed it by days.
Question I see pre-order ones on ebay for a lot of money but seller is an Electronic store in Thailand. That can't be right
I want to be sure to buy from artist or at least from someone honest second hand. What do I look for? COA, stamp on head cap? Also since when could you buy pre-orders on ebay?

I missed the Vainilladolly preorder as well, only 200! I was sad to miss the NaNa too... who knows where I was (probably moving home) but I do have one little girl. She's begging me for sisters! SO I am on the hunt if anyone is looking to let one go please message me.

There's photos up on her Insta... I think she does layaway with preorders? like a deposit, then final payment when they come in.

Yes, I asked her myself but she wouldn't give much away, that was a few weeks ago now, maybe a month ago... all she would say is a new one coming in October... whether she meant this one or a new smaller rou I don't know but I am so impatient!! LOL!
It must be happening any day now. IN the meantime I do have a NaNa Rou on the way home in the full set which is awesome! but it's not what my little Rou is asking for! I have to keep on the hunt

Jacoosun used to do layaway (half down, the remainder when ready to ship), but since the first Nana release (February 2022) they no longer offer it.

RE: The Thai seller you may have seen offering on ebay - If you have an old link or the name I can double check if it's one of the 2 people I know of. There's 2 Thai collectors I talk to regularly who collect Rous (and others) but also act as a sort of proxy for their local community so a lot of times it's them selling pre-order slots someone in their community doesn't want any longer or the used dolls. I can say I've worked with them both numerous times, and if it is them, they are both great to work with and legit. They are collectors themselves so they support the artists.

 

The seller from Taiwan is trituas. I appreciate the info they are not selling recasts but the mark up seems a bit much. But I understand they want their cut. Plus fees from ebay and PP. But this still doesn't allow for layaway so I can add maybe one more of these precious girls. I am an older woman and I have a very tight budget for my dolls these days esp. I was so lucky the seller on Instagram was kind enough to sell her at a price I could afford in full as timing was perfect. My CC had rolled over so I have until Dec now to pay that amount off. Maybe I will be lucky again and find another.

I bought these leggings from Elite Doll World on Etsy and they are for the 1/6 size dolls. They might look like they won't fit when you take them out of package, but they are stretchy. I also see I need to fix the seams as they are twisted. I bought 3 pairs hoping they would fit.

 

It is Tritus on ebay. They had a Nana rou listed that I bought and they immediately cancelled saying out of stock. I mean first it's a 30 day wait (I asked about that, their Thai person buys from the Chinese market and ships from Thai, Tritus lists them and they're in the USA)... anyway, the one I bought was refunded because it had sold but they never updated the listing. Before that I was querying them on a little rou they had that I was interested in, I was wondering if they were recast from China put into a similar or the actual box and sold off as real since they were getting a "new faceup" before shipping. When I asked more about this part of the equation, the seller never responded. Everytime I asked the price went up, the latest was the yellow flouro outfit, I asked a question and it went up by 20usd.
PReviously I had mentioned to the Tritus seller on ebay I was after a Zonghi or catmo rou or both, or even O Rou and literally within 2 days, 3 or 4 listings went up of those dolls at HUGE mark-ups. We're talking over 1200+ USD. The seller tried to engage me on those and I shut it down because I don't have that kind of money sitting around for each doll that shouldn't go for that in the first place. Most are not even full set. I know they hard to find but obviously not if they're going for under 900USD on the Chinese markets, if they're legit.

 

So if I understand you the seller on ebay is not selling legit dolls. I will stop watching his auctions then and wait for Jacoosun to offer pre-orders or hope to get one second hand. Even my son who sells stuff for me on ebay is more realistic then this person on how to sell an item. But my son doesn't sell recast or Chinese market items so I will stop looking on ebay.

They didn't say they sell recast, I can't know that for sure. Most items have the box and coa but the fact they told me they get them a new face paint, they came from China with a 30 day wait, then will ship from someone else in Thailand is enough to bother me when this person actually lives in the USA. The markups are hideously high and I don't think anyone should encourage that pricing.

 

I totally agree. No matter if they are legit or recast I would avoid them. I do hope Jacoosun will make another pre-order but I have to hope for layaway as this girl set my dolly budget to a all time low.

I've just ordered chocolate with make up A (red lips) but I seriously struggled to decide which make up option to go for. Tempted to order tan in B but that could be reckless of me!

 

I ordered a fair skin with no makeup I really like Noise’s natural makeup and I’m going to do something similar myself.

 

I look forward to seeing what you do, I hope you'll share a photo. I have fair and a porcelain Rou - thoigh porcelain girl currently has no face-up. I'm looking forward to the chocolate skin.

 

Sure! I’ll share it May 2024 seems like a long wait! Do you all know if they come a little earlier if they are blank with no faceup?

 

I'm afraid I don't know. I expect they may ship out earlier but it may only be by a week or so.

 

it's driving me bonkers with choosing or not choosing and saving for another one... I still want the catmo1 or Orou and noise2? (with the kissing lips), she's probably my grail right now but pricewise... OMG...
I think for me fair make up B... although..... chocolate is nice.. and the A option would be wild and something I don't have....

 

I have do many past versions that I want. I find it hard to recall all the names. I need a helpful grid with all past releases doll photos and names underneath! I'm still not sure what the difference is between nanarou (taller?) And rou and what does noise mean? Catmo I know has the flat lips but that's all I've worked out!

The number is stock doesn't seem to be changing so I'm not sure if it's just not updating or not selling many.

 

Noise is a collaborator (they also customize blythe) same with Catmo and Eat_Zongzi. Noise has a Rou 1 with the detective hat iirc, large eyes, pouty lip, mousy look like original Rou. Catmo you can tell by the round large eyes. There is a pursed lip and flat lip version. Eat_Zongzi’s has the very pursed kissy lips.

I really like the look of the ORou and Eat_Zongzi’s but they were so limited, it’s really hard to find them and when I do, it’s too expensive. The smaller eyes haven’t really been my style but I like the overall look of the new Noise one, particularly in fair skin resin in natural makeup.

Oh, and the one I currently have is a “Ben Rou” - her fullset is a chinese traditional dress with a black updo. I don’t know the story behind the Ben Rou though or if perhaps there is another name they also go by? It looks very much like the original Rou, and older style body. Tan is much lighter than current tan.

I have wigs on order and final payment due on a layaway so I considered buying 2nd hand little ones instead that I thought were cute. One was to help someone out, the other was sleepy face (omg so cute!!!)... but I know you all will understand my story, I have to be a responsible adult and not go into debt right now! LOL I'm sort of relieved to make the decision. By the end of the preorder date, I thought I was going for heels and fair with makeup B so I changed my mind a few times! I'm on the edge waiting to see everyone's girls come home!

The one you have "Ben Rou" is the one I wanted to buy some time ago and missed it, even when I saw her 2nd hand I opted out of the purchase because at the time it was too much for me, but she's really a wonderful set, congrats to you!!

The Eatzongzi is the one I've been after, (did I say the wrong thing, oh, did I say noise? I knew who I meant, I do know them all as blythe customizers)...... I know which one I want when I see it... lol For now I'll keep my almond Tiina and Rou2.0 busy with dress ups and wig swaps. They have the best little bodies that even my osteo/carpal tunnel can handle!

 

Thanks! I definitely like the newer body better, but her face is too cute. The kissy lips EatZongzi one is just adorable though xD I hope you eventually find her! Also, good job being financially responsible! I have gone way way overboard this year, and I think I’m done as far as new purchases go. I’ve got enough doll styles to work with to customize and I’m just going to focus on that going forward!

 

Thank you so much, that is so helpful! I love the bigger eyed girls too. The smaller eyed girls have grown on me. I did find it quite hard to distinguish between the colours on some of the stock photos of this release- partic the tan. I've also seen photos from the make-up artist where the chocolate appears a lot darker than the stock photos, so it will be interesting to see what it looks like irl.

 

hello, I am new here. But I also collect jacoosun I have a Nana rou and I am getting the one by Noise in May . I struggle a lot to get shoes and clothes for them I wish they were more popular.

 

hi, I couldn't get the Noise this time around and sad about that! I know they'll cost a lot 2nd hand though I slip my NanaxTiina into Rainbow high heels, they also wear the slides well but not the boots.
I did manage to get a pair of leather blythe boots onto my Rou 2.0 and some little shoes I think I bought for pukifee (a bit wide), they seem to work on both, a bit hit and miss though. Congrats on getting your new one.

 

Are you ready for your wallet to run away? If so, it's actually really easy to dress rous.

They fit in rainbow high (tops may be baggy, but workable), barbie, Blythe (pants/bottoms only is stretchy), LOL OMG (see my profile picture - the black and white top? LOL OMG. And those tops fit better than rainbow high), and Disney ILY4EVA (again, slightly big, but workable).

Shoes - I can get mine into a lot of the rainbow high boots actually. Sometimes they don't fit 100%, but it works for pictures. They fit SOME blythe shoes but you have to check the length - they need the longer length ones. SKDollhouse has a lot of shoes that fit.

I ordered a Noise 3 girl in Pale with Makeup B. I almost wish I had purchased a tan girl as well, but we shall see. I have to post a new group photo as my crew has expanded and I now have a Tiina release as a boy in Cocoa, and my modded Catmo2 with a tongue sticking out. And a 3rd Catmo 1, this one as a boy.
