I ordered three wigs from CanCan at her J-Series site. There were a ton of fun styles to choose from, so it was hard to narrow it down to just three!!! I'm still figuring out my new digital camera (Olympus Camedia 765, super-zoom)... it's my first diigital camera and I got it for myself for Christmas (yay!). At least I can take a thousand pictures and pick the ones that are in-focus... I hope this isn't too image-intensive! 04-12-elfel00148-red299x400 by aprilllee, on Flickr This is the --27a_blakcarrot--- one of those wigs with a tail at the back. I like the thickness of the tail and how the shorter hair doesn't stand out too much. The color blend is just great--I was worried that it would look blotchy--but I think it looks really nice all together. 04-12-elfel-0123a-red296x400 by aprilllee, on Flickr FYI--my Elf El is BW. I'm shooting with incandescent (light bulbs which tend to be yellowy) lights and no flash. I've got Hamilton Warehouse Light Gray 16mm paperweight glass eyes in him, and he's wearing a shirt sold by Ivstar63 on ebay. 04-12-elfel-0172blside299x400 by aprilllee, on Flickr This is the --16a_dkbrownltgoldhi-- that goes downto his knees. I think I might try putting some braids in it to make it a more Elfy style at some point... 04-12-elfel-0189-gold-299x400 by aprilllee, on Flickr And finally-- 29a_dkbrownrusthi-- 04-12-elfel-0100e299x400 by aprilllee, on Flickr Overall quality looks good to me. They aren't super-thick wigs, but that's fine with me since it suits the styles. They fit my guy (CP SD-sized) Elurin perfectly--not tight, no slipping. The caps must be elasticiized, I think. Can't see the caps at all. They come packed well--with cardboard and bubble-wrap and tissue and nets and plastic bags, so they aren't crushed. The prices are great, and it was easy to order--just sent in an email asking if the ones I wanted were available--and paid with paypal. They came very quickly, not EMS, which was fine since it was MUCH cheaper... maybe took a week or two at most. I'm thinking of make another order soon... but I'm trying NOT to buy hundreds of wigs (and failing!) I'm having fun trying on wigs and taking photos--It's great to be able to share it with you all! Olympus DC is very good, nature color ,accurate white balance and friendly user menu. I have a OM 750uz ^_^, love the 1cm super marco function. All the wigs you choose for your boy are great.
My Olympus seems to be working fine for me so far. I had to have the super-zoom, because I like getting all the details even in far-away shots. I used to take my own reference shots for doing artwork, and need to get close shots of animals at zoos and details of architecture... but so far, all I've been doing is taking BJD pictures!!! I haven't used the Macro yet... I also didn't touch these up in Photoshop... they all came out pretty well, considering that it was dark and rainy outside and my inside light isn't very good... I'm glad you are selling such great wigs! I'd been looking for the style with the tail for ages--but I haven't liked the other versions sold by everyone else as much as yours! I like the cut and the thickness a lot, and the way the different colors of hair mix in is just perfect! The long blond one is lots of fun, too. I just LOVE LONG, LONG hair... and this one has bits of darker hair up at the top (without it looking like bad roots!), and then changes gradually to very pale colors at the end. They are all great for different looks! I'm getting an Elf Lishe soon, so I'll need some fun wigs for her... but I'll probably wait until after she arrives in a few weeks, so I can figure out what colors and styles would be good for her. Thanks for your comments!
Oh my *drool* That's gorgeous.... I think they all suit him, but my personal favorite is the blonde in the third picture
Wants! WANTS!!! both wigs and boy !!!!! I prefer the red wig of the first two pictures, he looks like Loki (Germanic God of Fire) with it. And Loki is my favorite character of Northern mythology ^^ But all of CanCan's wigs are great... apart from that, your beautiful elf would look gorgeous even with a tin can on his head. PS: I love his outfit.
I'm more and more impressed with El every time I see one. He's very lovely! I like the long blond wig best on your handsome elf, followed by the first orangy "mullet"
Well, I love his sculpt, obviously... although there are a TON of Els running about--I worry that he' looks too much like everyone else. Not a bad thing, since it's a good look, but it's nice to have a bit of individuality. I haven't really settled on how to make him look more like himself, though. But I've only had him just over a month, so who knows? But I'm glad people aren't getting too tired of all the Els. I still like seeing them, anyway!
