Oh, what a wonderful secret! Thanks for sharing, boys - and congrats to the Moms! (Not exactly a wedding cake - but I guess the 'shus had quite enough cake to be going on with, right? )
Oh yayz! Wisshu you so cute and WOW they ate alot of cake @o@ Yes Aunty Sims told me.... When she was at your wedding.... that you guys got hitched!! Congrats i'm happy! and i heard it was a great time! *big hugs to you guys*!!
Thanks, everyone! I've been kinda busy this month with the garden, the wedding and the little tuxes, but all got done, give or take a facing or two. And the tuxes were going to have little bling buttons, but I didn't have time to apply them...made Wiishu another vest instead, and it was a good tradeoff. The little points on the front of the first were VERY off from one another. Would have driven me crazy. The tuxes are cute even without the buttons. Here they are in a sneak peek to the next story:
Ah, I was wondering what was keeping you so busy and away from the threads. CONGRATULATIONS! Those tuxes (and that cake ) are wonderful
Wiishu matches the big cake or is it the other way round! Congrats! I hope all of you had a wonderful day!
And it tasted better than it looked! Busy indeed. We did taxes, discovered the judge would make a house call (we thot we'd be going down to the courthouse and just have a BBQ after) and changed everything. We planned the whole thing in about three weeks. Including the boys' tuxes! I guess it says something about my taste that this unusual blue was all over the place in my fabric stash! It helps that his tux is made of little metallic dots on a stretch fabric, so it reflects the colors of the shiny brocade he's sitting on. The tux is a bit more of a true blue, but like him, will shift to fit the occasion! The background of the cake is based on a painting I did years ago and represents the opalescence of the "NSpace" in my first novels. We took the a bit of the runner fabric down to the bakery and they based the flowers on that. The dragonfly topper is spun glass made by a dear friend we've both known longer than we've known each other! Steve Scherer. I did the basic design and he made it stunning. Our garden is called Dragonfly Gate...so it was singularly appropriate!
