Australia Is there a bjd community in Melbourne?

I've only just gotten back into the hobby, but wow, more Victorians! I'll be watching this thread with interest

 

*waves at fellow locals* There's a few of us here and there.

I'm not on Facebook, but I believe a good part of the community is on the FB group, Melbourne BJD Collective. The way I understand it, the pandemic put a stopper on everything and things have been slow to recover. I think the past organizers of BJD Emporium want to revive it eventually, but it's likely to be slow going.

I organized a meetup at the end of last year (the thread is in the Meetups forum), but I haven't been able to do another one so far this year. I think there are regular meetups on the northwest/west side of the city... the FB group might have more info about local happenings.

If you want to do a small meetup, I'd love to join and meet other locals! I just don't have capacity at present to organize and host one.

 

Hi, we do have an active BJD community here in Melbourne. We are mostly active through FB though. Our group is called "Melbourne BJD Collective". We create doll meets there once in a while. I am organising a Christmas doll meet this coming 9th of Dec. The details of this meeting are here if any of you are interested in joining Christmas Doll Meet at St. Kilda Botanical Garden.
