Yes it is still active, you need to be in the Artist usergroup to access it. You should be able to see it now.
I actually can't see it either- is this a problem that comes from starting out as an observer and switching to an artist?
When you signed up you need to select observer or artist in the dropdown menu on the signup form, and depending on this the admin would have put you in one of those two usergroups. If you change this in your profile later on it will not change your usergroup, this is something an admin must go in below decks and fix for you. bird of hermes, I have changed our usergroup for you now and you should be able to see the critique subforum.
