Hi, I've been wanting a dark brown, wine or black bangless wig since last year now. No luck. But Poshdolls has the right style of wig in a light blond color. Can I dye it somehow? If so... how? Thanks!
Whether a wig can take dye seems to vary from brand to brand, some take the dye well, and others don't take it at all. There have been some recent threads on dyeing wigs without any conclusive results. Are you wanting to keep the braids in, or do you just want a long, bang-less, straight wig in wine, black or darkbrown? I recently bought such a wig (no braided) from JessicaHu on eBay. Haven't received it yet, but it was reasonably priced. Annarchy just got a really nice 'wine' wig from Happydoll for her Elf Lishe. There are quite a lot of wig places out there, such as Cancan, Cotin (both now sell on ebay), Volks, Ajumapama (are stopping production of doll stuff), Luts/CP and so on. There must be someone out there who makes what you want? If you do want braids, you can always braid it yourself. I think dying a braided wig would give a tie-dye effect... IF the dye stays in. Out of curiosity, could you link to the Poshdolls wig you are after?
Thie wig style I'm after is here: http://www.q-y-p.com/online/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=24_26&products_id=44 Apparently they had some black ones while I was in India but now don't make that style anymore. I cannot tell you how bummed that makes me... I'd been posting about a black bangless black wig since before I left for India! Garh. Yes, I did particularly want braids. What a pickle! Hmmmm...
