Hopefully this is the correct place to put this. Not sure where else to go. Basically, I own a B&G doll, purchased quite some years ago. At the time, I remember them being at least a somewhat well-known/popular maker, and at least moderately decent at responding to customer inquiries and purchases. But now, I have emailed them multiple times over the past few months and not received any sort of response. The last legitimate (non-spam posts) in their Q&A section are from 2014, and went unanswered. Their website appears... abandoned? I can't pin down when last it was updated. Copyright on the title/entrance page says 2005-2016, on the actual B&G catalog site 2005-2013, and the The Old World website is entirely unavailable (domain for sale). Have they disappeared? Is B&G now a defunct company? Does anyone have any more information on this they can provide? @mods & all in-the-know users. Thanks!
@Spuggey yes, that company. However, if you look into their website, it appears to have ceased being updated in 2014. Customer questions are still unanswered from that year, and no new news or notices have been posted. I, personally, have also been unable to reach any representative since. I'm just trying to figure out if anyone has any solid answers. Thank you though!
They're still available on Alice's collections. Maybe they gave up on the website and sell through dealers only now? They're also on legenddoll and doll mix. I've never bought anything from that range, though, so can't say for sure if they're still available.
Not perfectly B&G, but they have a subset called RAYON-- I bought a doll from B&G RAYON (and received a free B&G 1/6th with her) through a dealer (StacysPinkOcean) just over one year ago. No problems at all. That says nothing for their website, though.
I know this is an older thread but I'm also wondering about B & G dolls. Alice's Collections used to have them but when I looked recently, they're gone. And the website linked in this thread doesn't want to load.
Flara, Im sure this is old news, but I recently asked Alice’s Collection about B&G Dolls. This is the response I received: “Thank you so much for your inquiry. Regarding B&G, we stopped carrying them a few years ago as they out of contact, we are not sure whether they're still in operation or not... Please feel free to contact us for any question. Have a great day n_n Best regards,” A www.acbjd.com www.alicescollections.com [email protected] I guess B&G are no longer in business. It’s such a shame; another company gone. I own two of their dolls, a 1/4 boy, Ymir, and a 1/3 boy elf, Afra. Both are really cute dolls.
Yeah, it is a bummer, Flara! I had hoped to get a Sky, and a Sharon one day. I wish companies wouldn’t go away.
