With the release of the new rules on On-Topic dolls, the latest editions to the Iplehouse family, Pet Dolls are now within the rules for sharing (Thank you Mod's ) So I thought I would take the opportunity to create a new thread for that purpose... Time to start sharing your pooches and kitties ladies and gents Currently allowable in the range are the puppies/dogs, kittens/cats, Puma and Panther. This may not be all in the future, but we'll have to see what Iplehouse come up with and whether they still fit within the new rules. ----------------------------------------------- Some useful links... Glad to see a thread for the pets. I just got my first Pet Doll this past week. I really like him. Meet Boo. Stare of the Cat by wizgerg3, on Flickr
From what I gather from the update, as long as they conform to the usual rules on DoA Pet Dolls are now treat like all other BJD's that are on topic. They no longer need to to be human/anthro to qualify I say add them where you want them (doll profiles for them are included in the list of things you can now add)
Oh I'm so glad the Pets are now on topic! Batty and the Beagles want to say 'woof'. Paw Patrol by luluna33, on Flickr
omg all together they look even more fun! Hi Boo! I often call most of my cats by the nickname Booboo kitty LOL Thanks! Looks like I'll have a bit of catch up to play ... getting ready for the con and I'm rooming in so away from pc for nearly 4 days ... omg it's gonna kill me (I don't have a mobile device ><).
start saving NOW lol cuz when they come up they are not available for long LOL and they are not cheap! LOL
My bull terrier (D) arrived today, so the change to make him on-topic was a very timely one for me! Meet Achilles: Achilles by DramaDoll1, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/9/8551/28746540442_f93676b454_b.jpgHe followed me home...
@Lady Tiku I love your Saber doll! She is so beautifully done. I haven't really seen animal dolls before this is so amazing!! *dives into op's links*
lol thanks but Saber is not mine... she belongs to another member at the doll meet ^^... I'll pass on your like to him though XD... I kinda liked her too... we had a few there that day lol.
Drive-by Kelsy spam I really need to make her a leash and have one of the dolls take her outside for a walk.
Received my kitty today. Love her (or him). Have not decided on the color yet. We have orange tabbies of various shades, so leaning that way. We have one that has Siamese/tabby/calico mix and beautiful blue eyes but think that would be too difficult to duplicate. Iplehouse White Cat by Laurie W, on Flickr

Wanted to share. This is the tiny beagle's first time out of the box since I got her. I think I settled on Bailey as a name. Candy is the bigger beagle.
For anyone out there that has the panther....and both heads....how do they change? I vaguely remember someone saying you had to unstring the whole doll to change the head.... Anyone have any photos of a panther showing how it's strung?
i think that was me panicing BEFORE I got the panther lol... I have pics of the inside of the second head AND I am sure it showed something in the manual... I will look in a few hours?
Panther head has a prong inside that attaches with an S hook but I have not tried to change it yet. I think you will need at least one hemostat to clamp the elastic to do it. Edit: I just changed Bhageera's head and it took two hemostats and alot of hard pulling and twisting but I got it done. Not recommended for weak hands and arms. My fingers are still numb!
@Therealwalter - Ooooh thanks so very much!!!!! So that little hole in the head fits through the tip of the S-hook? And the neck stays on the body the whole time! Who knew? I don't think I would have known how to take it off! LOL It's so good to know at least it is possible....without having to re-string the whole kit-and-caboodle! Bjageera's snarling head looks great and fierce!
wow, okay so no changing heads for me any time soon LOL and NEVER alone O_o... omg that looks.... i wonder if a bigger S hook would help? or one that's a bit longer?
You know...I need to look at my Bull Terrier and Beagle's heads...I have no idea how they are attached. LOL I'm so afraid that something will happen to the elastic and I'll have to restring! Eeeps. I don't want to go there just yet. @ Lady Tiku - Did you get both heads blushed? And while I'm here yammering away and asking all sorts of questions....I'll add a photo since this is a photo thread. One of my larger Beagles (Nilla) with a KID Paige. Paige and Pup by luluna33, on Flickr
Ive never seen such a wide variety of dog sculpts before, it makes me really want to get a dog BJD and customize it to look like my pet!
That's actually why I got the tricolor beagles. My beagles Casey who died about six or seven years ago and m current beagle Brandy both looked like the tri (Autumn I think it was), which is why my tri-beagle is named Candy (their names combined). The little one I named Bailey because its a cute name--and Beagle Bailey sounds like a cartoon name. XD The IH dogs are really wonderful!
@Scholar - Thanks so much! @Therealwalter - Oh gold starts for you! Thanks again so much for the information! Meanwhile...Nipper and Nilla are roaming around the house. Nipper and Nilla by luluna33, on Flickr
Finally got some photos of Pantera!! Pantera by Ashbet, on Flickr More on my Flickr, if you click through ^_^ Is there a discussion thread for Iple Pets or Panthers/Pumas? -- A
Oh lovely As far as I know there isn't any discussion threads for the pets yet. But I'm sure we can add one easily
Thank you!! And, yes, we really should! For one thing, knowing how the head-removal mechanism works is pretty crucial -- I had NO idea how to change heads until I got in there with a hemostat, because the stringing is very tight. (This is a good thing, since it holds a very heavy doll together -- but it's a bit beyond my strength to try to hold it AND wrangle heads, unless I have something solidly keeping a grip on the string.) -- A

TY she's good with kids.. that and she is a shape-shifter. She has a very strong protective streak in her... especially towards young ones ^^. One day (when i find it) we may see her 'human' form. ^^
Ah! Finally found a thread for my Cassy She's my little cosmic cat. https://c3.staticflickr.com/8/7417/27176358210_20cbfc01c0_z.jpg
Our new pet, a Boston Terrier. She is yet to be named. Boston Terrier & Naias (Iplehouse) by Laurie W, on Flickr https://c3.staticflickr.com/6/5747/30271625410_b4057ce380.jpg https://www.flickr.com/photos/71171977@N05/']Laurie W, on Flickr
@LaurieESW - Awwwww the Boston Terrier is totally adorable!!!! Your little girl seems smitten and who could blame her!
You might have just pushed me over the edge on a Boston Terrier. I've wanted a second dog, but was having a hard time deciding between the Boston or a second Bull Terrier. He's a cutie, and so is your little lady with him!
Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out how to pose her so she looks natural. Here's a photo of her with her daddy.
I am getting my first bjd for Christmas and I'm saying no to getting more for another year at least...but the pets are so cute! My boy will be lonely for a year and I know he would be a cat person
Congrats on your first BJD! But, if there's one thing I've learned about being in this hobby, never say never! I told myself I wouldn't get another doll and then bought a couple dolls after saying that.
This is Kiakoo, she's the larger Beagle I painted to look like my dog, Kaia. I can't really pose her because her paint scratches if I look at her wrong, but her job is to sit around and be cute anyway. Just like her big counterpart. :P
