My mother has been trying to order me stuff from iplehouse (due to my lack of credit card~) except the transaction hasn't been going through. I'm not exactly sure what's going on, because I've never gotten a chance to actually watch her order, but it seems that when she orders, the money she sends is unable to go through, like there's not enough money on the card or something. Also, the company has been emailing her random credit card offers and ads ever since the first time she's ordered. (I don't know about these ads; even though I do have an iple account, I have never ordered anything from there...) Has anyone experienced something like this? If so, could you remedy it? How did you do so?
Have you been using their new credit card system (dacom)? I have used this method before and it was very easy without problems. It sounds like there is a problem with the credit card itself, if you are receiving solicitations. You should contact Iplehouse on their Q&A board to make sure the money didn't actually go through multiple times. If all else fails, go with Paypal.
if the payment wont go through, i strongly suggest you make a paypal account and use that. paypal is just a few clicks and you're DONE. but i second loz in asking on their Q&A board.... i never had any troubles ordering from iple - but i used paypal
Did anyone else pay with Dacom? If you did -did you experience this issue with them: (I posted this question to Iplehouse yesterday but it seems they skipped over it.) Dacom charged me in Korean currency when I thought I was paying in USD -and because of this, my credit card charged me a fee of 3% for the currency exchange rate of the day I made the purchase. I had to pay for EXTRA $64.18 USD for fee because Dacom made a request for currency exchange. Here I thought I was making a purchase in U.S. dollars... I have made numerous purchases before from other websites of Korea and Japan and never had this problem, because when I buy on their website and my total is to pay in USD, my credit card is charged in USD, NOT their foreign currency. I was not aware this was the way IpleHouse/Dacom charges; in Korean won and request amount for exchanging to total in USD. If this is the norm for those using Dacom, obviously I've got no problem with it, but it just seems odd because -like I said -when I've checked out in USD, I've always paid in USD and never got charged a fee for conversion rate. Is anyone else experiencing this or is my credit card company just being an A$$??
Its Dacom....I think one of the companies (either Dollmore or Soom) put up a notice about it.... The best thing you can do is use your credit card through paypal instead of Dacom. (I get hit for a fee with foreign transactions too btw...sucky)
I never used dacom. I ordered a iplehouse girl b4 and used paypal and had no problems. Its very easy to get your own paypal account but of course if you have any problem you can feel free to pm me. Good luck solving your problem, all the best.
Thanks, guys. XD I feel like such an idiot. I do already have a PayPal account... I just thought using Dacom would make the transaction quicker and smoother for some reason. What an idiot am I. >__<
I'm finally ready to order my first doll, but I have an issue with my payment method. I need to put it on two seperate cards. I asked Iplehouse if this was possible and how to do it, but I didn't understand their response. Hi, lovely Jenn It is possible to use 2 cards You need to pay part of full cost with each card Whenever you pay, please put order No. correctly Thank you so much ^__^ Could someone who's used Dacom explain a bit further, please?
Well what they are saying is, yes you can do that. You just need to put your order number in the notes section when you pay.
Do you mean in the order comments, or is there another notes section that comes up when you pay w/ Dacom? Or should I tell them on the Q&A board? And once I tell them, how do I pay the rest? Do they send another bill? I'm sorry if I seem kind of ignorant about this, but I don't want to mess up my order. -so nervous-
I would suggest doing both. Post in the order comments that you are paying via two credit cards and maybe list the last four digits so they can connect the orders. Then post in the Q&A that you have paid using the two credit cards, using the last four digits as identifiers, and making sure that you have posted the order number in it too. I think you'd just have to keep track of how much you paid in the original payment and then subtract to get the rest of your balance. It seems unlikely that they'd send a second invoice since it's an automated system. Basically, as long as you provide a clear record of what you did on the Q&A Iple should be able to figure it out.
Thanks so much for both of your responses! I just have one last question. When I click checkout, it says how much I'll be charged, which is of course, the full amount. Is there any way to change that into how much I'll be paying from one card?
I don't think so, since it's automated and they arn't sending you an invoice manually. I would post on their Q&A bord to get them to send you an invoice for however much you want to pay on the first card, and reiterate the situation. Good luck!
i think the only way you can use 2 cards, is if you pay by paypal. if you have 2 credit cards registered there. you send two payments for the amount you want, instead of the one payment that Dacom wants from you...... use the "Send Payment" option. when it shows the "funding option", you can click "edit/change" underneath. a new page will open, it will have your CC's there. choose the one you want to use, and click "apply".... that payment will now be charged to that CC. in the comments to seller area, put the order number, and say.... this is 1 of 2 payments for this order, second payment to follow immediately. then repeat the whole process, only this time, when you choose to "edit/change" funding source, choose the 2nd CC. this second payment will be charged to the other CC. don't forget to write in the comments to seller box, the order number, and that this is second of 2 payments, and final payment for this order. i don't see any way you could make 2 payments using Dacom
I've tried three times and the Dacom window is freezing up without processing my payment. I let it sit for 45 minutes the last time, and it still said "running." I posted on Iple's Q&A board, but the only response was an automated email from them canceling my order. I've tried in Safari and Chrome, no success in either. Any ideas?
do you have pop up blockers activated? if so it may not work....... the Dacom page is a pop up. also, if your CC company does not recognize this as a valid charge, because it is a foreign website, they may not authorize. and will try to contact you about the charge. if you don't tell them you are making a large charge to a foreign company, they will not process.
I do have a popup blocker on, but the window is appearing. It's just not working. I'll try turning it off and see if that helps ETA: It didn't help, but paying through Paypal instead of Dacom did! There must be something about my choice of browser and that Java window from Dacom...it doesn't work on the Soom site either. I will say the communication with Iple was somewhat frustrating. It was definitely a language barrier thing - I don't think they understood what the problem was, so they kept auto canceling my order and referring me to the FAQ page on how to fill out the Dacom window.
I just would like to say, I have the same annoying experience with payment through Dacom. And I solved the problem in the same way (= Paypal).
