I was wondering how different makeup styles look on peach gold skin? I am a bit worried the peachiness of the skin tone will wash out all colours compared to normal skin. Do colours like purples, blues and pinks look ok on PG? How well do you think the skin tone works with more crazy colours? Or is natural the way to go?

 

Those colors actually look really good on Peach Gold resins. I've got 7 PG faceup in a variety of styles...some more natural and some *waaay* out there in style. Glad you like them! I've been lucky enough to find an absolute angel of an artist whose been able to help bring my original characters to life. And PG is a *wonderful* resin tone, so I think you'll be pleased with whatever you decide to go with. :-)

 

Claire's sells dolly sized pop bottles and cans, they're lip balm but it's not noticeable. Just thought everyone would like to know

 

you mean the jewelry store in the mall? If so... I am gonna have to make a trip to my local mall and see if they have any! After getting into this hobby, I find myself trying to find dolly sized items EVERYWHERE... even in the grocery store XD lol. I spent 75 cents in a gumball machine last night hoping to get a bigger set of handcuffs... but no... I keep ending up with the smaller ones that dont even fit on my Rosette Fir's wrists :/ I want some that will fit Iple wrists... or at least the wrist of my 58cm girl x.x

 

Yup the jewelry store. They cost around $3.50 each and are so worth it.

 

Dollmore carries them in different sizes, so they may have something that'll work for you. They don't list the wrist sizes of all the dolls in their descriptions, so you may have to do a bit of searching, but it looks like the Glamor Model Doll male has a 7cm wrist, so that wouldn't work for the EID men, but could for some of the smaller dolls. http://www.dollmore.net/shop/search1.php?db=ok Edit: The oversized Glamor Model Doll Male handcuffs might actually work for the EIDs 'cause they're listed as being 9cm. :-)

 

I own Dexter AND the cuffs... (not used yet since Lu hasn't put him through his paces yet ;p)... but I can take a pic this week (need new camera bateries maybe) if you'd like.

 

Heehee. Yes, please! I had a storyline pop into my head the minute I saw those, so I'd love to see how they work on Dexter. I've got a Dollmore order waiting for 2 items to restock, so it'd be reeeeeeally easy to add these to it. :-)

 

okay quick grab with a camera I've not used in about 15 years >< It at least shows fit if fine... this is completely shut... but they will NOT work on nYID girls (too big she can get out ;p) EIDW is almost the same. No time for better pics atm though...

I second what Lady Tiku said. I have those cuffs from Dollmore and they fit my EID Arvid well.

 

Thanks so much!! They've got smaller ones if any of my less beefy resins need any, but it was the EID men I was most interested in, so I'm a happy camper. (giggling with glee)

 

I think they come in gold tone too ^_^
Luna has the leather pants & matching leather 'tube' (O_o?)top a pair of 'b***h boots the cuffs, short cat-o-9 tails and long whip....

Is anyone else wondering what SID Theo is doing on Iple's home page? If you click on the photo it takes you to his old sales page, which is marked Sold Out. I double checked the list of discontinued dolls and he is one that is supposed to be renewed, but this looks like the most recent of the old faceups on the original face. Could this be a teaser letting us know that he will be the next doll to be renewed?

 

I'm almost kinda scared to see the renewed Theo. He's always been on my wish list, but I'm trying really, *really* hard to keep my larger Iples to 1 pair each and I already have Barahan. But if he turns out to be even better; I might be in trouble. Of course, if Iple came out with a 2nd SIDM body type I'd *have* to get another one. :-)

 

Huh, I managed to finally take some decent pics of my ex-vampire head (he's an elf now, so he has a petty soft look). I think with this long wavy hair, he gives a pretty good idea on how a femme version would look XD

Ahh, Smaug, he's so awesome! How hard was the tooth mod? I was considering doing something like that for my eventual femmeChris, so she could have a snarling head.

 

Maybe renewed Theo is the next in the CH line? Carina has already made a cameo appearance and Harace is supposedly from "Persia"...

Oh thanks a lot for a picture Smaug! That modding looks really well done. My femmeChris can keep her vamp fangs, that's why I want his vamp head, human-teeth-dolls /visible human teeth aren't my thing at all, I painted my Stella's teeth away instantly XD but, interesting to see many versions of a doll!

 

Lelite - Oh, unfortunately I cannot tell how hard that mod is, because I sent him off to Krowbar for the teeth-removal (in her portfolio there's also a vampire Claude who has been de-fanged) . I don't really do mod-work, so I wouldn't have wanted to start out with such a delicate one, but I sure that for someone who has some experience in subtractive mods it can't be that hard XD

Adalwolf - Hehe, I seem to be the opposite; I love teeth on dolls, so that (and his overbite; I love slight overbite) was actually the main reason I fell in love with Chris's fantasy head. He just looks like he's always about to say something XDD

 

Looks like someone at Iplehouse made an oopsie! Theo's pic has been removed from the home page and replace with Eric's. Even so, I wouldn't be surprised if Theo was the next doll to be renewed.

Hi everyone!

I'm really interested in getting my first resin BJD and Iplehouse has definitely caught my attention with their realistic style and beautiful girls. I'm looking into getting the "special real" color for my girl.

 

My newest Iple hybrid..............he's a nYID Justin on the SID body. He looks surprisingly well on this body. With a wig on, from the front I don't think the head looks too small at all.........................the "bump" is all in the back really as far as "fit" on the neck goes. Just thought I'd share him.

Your Justin looks great, the head seems to fit quite well on SD body. I checked your flickr and your Leo/Jamie is also marvelous , especially with the curly wig.

Does anyone happen to remember did Iple offer Carved Heritage sculpts in Doll Choice during their order period? I'm somehow remembering that they did, but I'm not sure

 

yes but only those two weeks I think?... so you can get the 'different' colors but I think ONLY the current doll... meaning not the others that came before?

 

so.. someone commented Harace that she was available as EID DC when the first limited SID came out, so if we want a SID Scarlet in different skintone, it's possible?

Lady Tiku why they would even release all the previous CH sculpts in DC if the current doll is usually available? That means they would be permanently in DC all the time, but they're not of course.. They could do that like a Christmas event though ^^

We still have at least 3 more dolls to go after this and I am living in terror that the holiday season is when they will toss out that 'new size' they 'hinted' at some time ago... the one to fill the gap between JID's and nYID >< That scares me more than 'open season' on DC CH sculpts lol. Cuz the size gap is one that's bugged me from day one and I wanted one in there...

@ Adalwolf frankly I don't even remember... i either got the doll, did splits with no doll... or this last time got a KID so I never even 'looked' at if the others were there (didn't know for certain) ;p

 

Do we know for a fact that there will be a new size between JID and nYID, or was that a bit of speculation (i.e., wishful thinking) that crept into the conversations at the time? I'm always afraid of mis-translations when they hint at something. Did they mean what we think they meant, or was it something else entirely? That said, I would love to see a size between JID and nYID, because there is such a huge gap there. JID and smaller simply can't exist in the same universe as the larger dolls. The scale is completely different.

omg TYVM It's so nice to see someone with a functioning memory LOL I assume that the S/S meant spring/summer. but would that be theirs or ours? is Korea's S/S and Christmas the same time? This is not a 'forget'... this is something I just don't know lol. It would be so like them to toss that out to us unsuspecting ><. I was wondering if this would be their way of adding a 'smaller' doll to a series that is almost exclusively EID/SID sized. A Carved Heritage 'special edition' doll.... it's what I would do if I was them? ^^

 

Their seasons mirror ours in Canada and the US. I think with all the backlog they had going on; they just may not have had time...or didn't want to throw something new in the mix...while things were crazy. Maybe we'll see something new towards the end of the year? Perhaps after Scarlet's ordering period or more towards the holidays?

 

THAT is exactly what I am afraid of since technically CH won't yet quite be done ><... And I would have to have the 'new size' doll at any rate... I'd have to really hate the thing to not get it lol

 

Yeah...I know what you mean. I've still got a lot of characters to shell, so the thought of a size between the JIDs and the nYIDs is *very* appealing, yet *veeeeery* scary.

 

I like the look of the new Scarlett. She may just replace Jessica in my wishlist if she pans out like I hope.

A taller JID boy in these series is just what I need to complete one of my families. I hope they don't come out one after the other.
