I think you're onto something... the old-fashioned look really seems to suit your Peach girl.

The Peach sculpt has droopy, sort of sad eyes... and for some reason, ever since I saw Iple's first pics of the sculpt, I've seen Peach as a boy.

 

Is that your Peach? I can't tell from this angle but he looks very manly nice boy!

My next KID will be a boy too, I can't decide between Peach and Irene but this photo is making me choose Peach right now lol I need to think this more...

 

Yes, that's my real skin guy, but I actually have two Peach boys... right after this little guy was ordered, Iple put up an old-resin, light brown Peach boy at auction and I caved and got him, too.

He's killing me. I'm saving for a couple of very specific dolls, but that Lonnie is hard to pass up. Lol, the only thing that helps is I know i couldn't stay up late enough to actually get him!!

 

Well, you could always try putting in a bid before you go to bed that last night, and if it's meant to be, you might just get him.

If our dollar wasn't so low, I'd go for a light brown Angela right about now. I'm suffering from a major case of "doll buying withdrawal". Since I got addicted to BJDs, I've never had such a long dry spell! (since last summer)

 

I may do that. I've been saving for a Mo-A, but Lonnie is my very favorite sculpt.

 

i say go for the auction.... if you are outbid you don't loose money and can still get a doll later! Trying never hurts... well maybe just the wallet? ;p

 

Oh that just the pits! But the conversion rate seems to be effecting quite a few of us, I am in love with Ahra with the B face up, but adding 40% extra to the doll AND the shipping is a killer. I would so love to get her as a sibling for my Hanako (Minisup Hanna), I really need another Asian girl to fill the bill.

 

And since I can only get light brown through Doll Choice, that means all those extra costs PLUS the 40% on top of that. Even more if I want Glow skin. I'm looking at almost $700 Cdn for a KID. Back when our dollar was close to par, I could get TWO KIDs for that.

I'm waiting to see owner pics of Ah-ra, especially in real skin, to see if she might make a good older sister for my Byuri. Then she'll go on my wish list as well.

 

I would love the Glow skin, but decided to go with the normal as her sister is also in normal skin, so I saved a few bikkies there.

I would love to see owner pics of Ah-ra in any colour, especially with non default faceups. I think she would be wonderful as a sister for your Byuri, I do hope you get her Martha.

 

I definitely intend to get Angela, but since she's going to be an older sister for my Efreet and Erzulie, both of whom are the original light brown with the French resin, I pretty much have to get her in Glow light brown. So I'm just going to wait for one of their DC at Basic events. I'd also like Ah-ra in glow real skin, since my Byuri is also the old real skin with the French resin.

I do have a couple of dolls in the current regular real skin, and although I do love the pink undertones, it's very different than the earlier original real skin. Milo ( Milly boy) works just fine, as do Ringo and Naias, but I really don't care for the chalky look of my real skin Serca, even though I do like the colour of the resin. But I probably have the whole year to think about it.

 

I'm very excited to be able to join this thread soon! I'm going to purchase a KID very soon, but I'm having such a hard time choosing between Lonnie and Bambi!

Oh boy would I love to get both. I'm leaning a bit more towards Lonnie, since she is the doll that I have wanted for about two years, but I might just have to sleep on it... again.... This is the hardest decision!

Ahra in NS/A and Joy in SR. If you look at IH's promo pics of Ahra, her lips seem very different to me.

 

I LOVE your Joy! I'd always thought Joy would make a great 'Asian' girl, and now that I see your two girls together, I'm thinking Joy in real skin would make a better big sister for my Byuri. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for posting Ahra, her lips do look quite different to the promo shots don't they. I think she looks lovely in your photo and much better without that strong black line that's shown on face up A in their photos.

I hadn't seen a real skin Lonnie before, she's gorgeous. I have Irene in real skin and love the colour.

I Just Got my new girl, An Amy Last Monday!

 

Have ordered Ah-Ra but decided on no face-up this time. I want to get her look done right so she really looks like a younger sibling to my Minisup Hanna. Neither of the default face- ups were hitting the nail on the head, yet the basic sculpt is perfect.

Looks like hubby is going to be in the garage for a while looking for my old airbrush!

My Lonnie has been helping me again today, modelling a new Peter Rabbit dress.

Thank you, that's very kind of you, I really would have preferred to put shoes on her, but had nothing else that fitted in brown!! I am happy with the wig though, and it's a nice change from her usual wig.

 

Thank you! Her dress is the Iple one they used to sell it also has a big pointed collar that she is not wearing at the moment. (And I don't know where 'she' put it.) But it reminded me of something from the movie Jane Eyre....I really wanted another for my other KID girl...so it could be their school uniforms.

Does anyone else find their headcaps fall off if you so much as look at them funny? I think my Lonnie needs new magnets, it's a complete pain trying to put a wig on her.

 

lol depends on the doll! I can almost break a nail taking off Dexter's. My Luna and JID I are horrid... to help get them out if you want to replace them some ppl woudl say dip in hot water to soften the glue...I say try a heating pad instead to not worry about water damage to a face up... and ya it all depends ... some are bad some are almost too good. I take Luna's head cap off to transport her now... She's a 'look at her funny and pop goes the head cap' type. Until you get new magmets... use tape... medical ones are good since they don't damage resins
