Iplehouse Kid Clothing Database (What fits)

Jan 17, 2013

    1. Since these new little ones are still relatively new, I figured we needed to have a central place for all the information regarding clothing, shoes, wigs, etc.

If a thread is started with body comparison sizes we can link here - (add link when available)

Please come and post information as you try on different clothes and shoes from different companies so we can compile a good working list of what fits for the KID and what doesn't. Pictures are always helpful! (one pic per post per the rules - Please limit images to one per post in discussion threads; link your Gallery thread or post in Community Photo Sharing if you'd like to show more.)

If we need to create a KID picture thread we can do that too and link it to this one and vice versa.

    4. Thanks Laurie! I just bought Lonnie NS not long ago, and couldn't resist the clogs/crocs :P I think they might arrive before my doll does :E

    5. I haven't tried it myself, but I know that Betsy Mccall clothes can fit Narsha, so I'm assuming they will fit KIDs, too. Not my style, but might be helpful if you're looking for a cheap outfit. Clothes made for Chibi Unoa should fit as well.

    6. I just got my KID Lonnie yesterday and I tried on all the clothes I had made for Narsha and they fit very well. Lonnie and Narsha have the same shoulders, Betsy and Narsha can share some styles, but Betsy is bigger in the chest and shoulders so clothes I made just for Betsy area little big on Lonnie.
I just finished a jeans and blouse pattern for Narsha and it fit Lonnie perfect!
When I bought Lonnie I really was thinking she would be more the size of my Unidoll Tiny. Oh well, this was a happy surprise.

    7. Oriole, good information to know! I have my first KIDs on order, and I wasn't sure what to do about clothing.

    8. Thanks for starting this database, Laurie. I also have the clogs and they are really cute on these KIDs.

OAH, I'm glad to hear that all your patterns for Narsha work as I have several of your designs. I tried several of my Betsy McCall outfits, all Tonner originals, on my Lonnie and while the tops are fine, the length of the pants are too short. I'll be looking forward to your jeans and blouse pattern. Do you have any idea when you'll have it available?

      • x 1
    9. This is super good news! I'm actually having my Milly's costume commissioned from someone who is sewing it to fit a Narsha. I was a little worried that the fit wouldn't be exact but it looks like I have nothing to fear!

I'm looking all over the place for shoes though--I actually need little plastic jellies for my doll. Does anyone know of any fashion doll shoes that fit?

    10. The clogs are fun. I just received a newsletter from Denis B. (owner/creator of LeeAnn) that he is offer 25% off on purchases of 3 or more items from his store for Feb/Valentine. I've not heard that any other shoes, other than the clogs fit, however he does have some other cute accessories. I believe the clothes were are too big for the BID, wonder if they would fit the KID? As his dolls are 14"

Oh this is great news Oriole! I really love your clothing patterns and the varied styles. Can they be purchased in print only still or can they be purchased in PDF?

So glad you all like the idea of this thread. I hope to see more join in and add photos and/or information. Please share both what does not work as well as what works :)

    11. The KIDs can fit into quite a few of my Effner Studio Little Darling clothes, but it's pretty much hit and miss. I just happen to have a TON of clothes for my Little Darling dolls (I have 10 of them), so it's not like I'm going out and investing needlessly.

Here is my Lonnie wearing an outfit by m.e.g.designs specifically made for the Little Darlings:

As you can see, it fits her pretty well. I did have to put a little pin at the waist of the skirt, as the LDs are a bit rounder in the middle than the KIDs. Even the shoes were handmade.

    12. Here is Shelby (Lonnie) in another Little Darling outfit made by Melanie Hazel and purchased on eBay:

I would like to say that all the outfits made for the Little Darlings fit, but in reality, it depends on the seamstress and the pattern used. Like I said.... Hit or miss.

    13. I've found some of the Ken clothes that have a bit of stretch to them or are on the long/loose side fit the KIDs. Some of the items made for the Tonner 16" ladies also work. Below is a picture of Navarre wearing a Ken top that was part of a large fashion pack (which also fits my BIDs, btw) and the Tonner distressed skinny jeans from 2010. They're a snug fit on her and she can't sit while they're snapped, but that's something I've found with the stiffer/thicker Iple jeans as well. I tend to think the jeans would work better on the KID boys since they have slightly slimmer hips. The legs were also long and tucked up when I took the pic, but I fixed that once she claimed the jeans for her own.

Navarre in pieces made for Tonner 16" ladies.

Vest and pants from Tonner's New Moon outfit for the Alice Cullen small bust doll. They're long in the leg, but because the material is light weight; they scrunch nicely. There's also enough room in the pants that Navarre is able to sit in them.

Light blue shirt made for Wilde Imagination 16" Ellowyne Wilde/16" Tonner Antoinette. Made by Jade Penni Creations. Jade use to have a store on E-bay, but it doesn't appear to be there any more. :-/

    15. I had this dress for my Narsha, I bought it on ebay some time ago and it's a Robert Tonner dress for the 14 inch Betsy McCall, I think the fit is quite good and thought my new Lonnie looked rather cute in it! I made the stockings for Narsha and they fit fine. Shoes are normal YOSD sized.

I have another couple of Betsy outfits which I need to try on her for fit and will post here if they fit well.

I have jeans that I made for my Narsha from my own pattern, but they are a little loose through the thighs and a bit too short on Lonnie. Narsha has shorter legs than Lonnie.

I also tried an Ellowyne Wilde outfit on her, which can be seen here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9168922@N04/8451719476
The top fit fine, the leggings are a bit long but not too bad. The skirt was really tight around Lonnies waist and I had to really pull it to snap it closed.
The cardigan is by Maisiedoats and made for my Narsha.

    16. I absolutely love this outfit! Your Shelby (Lonnie) is such a lucky girl!

    17. This outfit looks soooo good on her!

Always good to know what may work before you buy the doll. I have been know to buy the outfit and then find a doll to fit it! LOL

      Jenny in Wi

    18. Ive currently got my Lonnie in a Littlefee outfit I got from Etsy...the skirt is a little short but it fits fine other than that...

Ive also got a Momocolour 29cm girl and I think they are pretty similar in size?

    19. Thank you, Dotti!
I really need to try some other clothes on her, but I've been so preoccupied with my little BID girls at the moment. Poor Shelby has been twiddling her thumbs on the shelf just patiently waiting for some play time. LOL

    20. Here are some sandals that fit the KID (and BID) foot.
On the left in the photo are Dollmore 'Mash Marigold' Sandals (these come in 4 colors, white, black, pink and violet)listed at $14 each. Personally I like the fit. On the right are Boneka 'Fisherman' sandals. These also come in various colors (White, Red and Brown), most places sell for $20. The toes go right up to the end.

    21. I was just messing about with some minifee short skirts and the waist fits very well, they aren't really the style i would want for a young girl but i'm going to try making my girls some clothes tweaking some minifee patterns i have.

    22. Here is an outfit from Ellowyne Wilde called Ruffled Up, on Lonnie. The bust is too big, however fits well elsewhere. She looks more like she's playing dress up, this outfit, IMO, looks to mature.

    23. May I ask where you found those Monique shoes and which size you got? :) I've been hunting for something like this in purple for a very long time!

    24. I'd love to see a list maintained of what size fits from other doll clothes. I think I might create one and link it here (and probably in my signature) so that we also have a comprehensive list of what sizes fit to go along with this thread). The Monique shoes are what prompted this thought since I don't know what size to look for and I thought, hey we should have a list. :)

    25. That sounds like a great idea! Also, because I'd love to find some shoes XD

    26. I'm so glad I came across this thread. Cara (Lonnie) just came yesterday and I've been looking to see if anyone had patterns that fit her. I never thought to try some that I already have of LD's or even Ellowyne. They might only need a little tweeking.

Grandmom: Lonnie is as cute as can be in the "Red, White, and very Blue" outfit.

    27. Thanks to everyone for your insights. I have just received my first KID and love her the best of all the dolls I have had / have. I am thinking I might try reducing a 45 cm Kaye Wiggs doll pattern since the body shape seems very similar. Has anyone tried this?

    28. I got my shipping notice on Lonnie today. Woohoo! I thought I'd have to wait a bit longer. I have some Dollmore stuff here and I'll post what fits when she gets here.

    29. Has anyone tried to downsize the patterns for 45 cm Kaye Wiggs dolls? They seem to have similar body syles.

    30. So far I've tried these on my Lonnie:
Leggings from Dollmore. - They fit well, maybe a bit short in the leg but you can arrange them so that it looks just fine.
Narsha Top from Dollmore - Perfect fit.
Fashion doll top from Dollmore - Very snug. Fits. The neck is a bit too wide but it will still work.
LittleFee/YOSD shoes from Ruby Red - Perfect fit.
Sport shoes from Ruby Red - They fit. They're loose enough for socks. They might look too big with a skirt but with long pants they're fine.
Sneakerboots from Mimiwoo - Way too big.
Boots from Mimiwoo - These fit loosely but the toe part is really wide so they look a little large. They might work with the right outfit.

In this photo she has on the leggings and Narsha top from Dollmore and her shoes are flats from Ruby Red.

    33. I pulled out some MSD capri leggings I have and they fit my girl perfectly as pants. I didn't take a picture of her in them but I certainly can. They were made for slim MSDs and I got them from an Etsy seller, MonstroDesigns. She doesn't seem to have any MSD capri leggings listed but you can "make your own" leggings by choosing that option in her shop. They're listed as MSD Minifee Capri in the drop down.

    34. Any results for the boy KIDs of late? :)

    35. Ahhh it's a relief that there's a wide variety that can fit :3 (notes some brand names I wasn't familiar with)

    37. Awesome, I was wondering if the TTYA YOSD would fit.

    38. It's a little shorter on the body than the Ken stuff but I was happy with it, when I get him some t shirts next month I may pull them down a bit to stretch it. I didn't wanna do it to this one as it's Scott's!

    39. Okay, so just wondering!

What size eyes do the KID wear?
And what size wig do you best suggest that fits them?

Please forgive me if this has already been answered, I am having issues
sifting through posts on my mobile device. Thank you xox

      - Muffin

(P.s. In regards to outfits like LaurieESW post of the beautiful pink ruffle number, I have an Addiction Lisa on the way and more mature dresses are not an issue....black would be her colour of choice though, will I have to rely on custom stuff to get more mature outfits/ clothes for her in this colour?)

    40. Muffinz - I used the same size eyes for my KID as my BID, usually 10mm or 11mm. Just depends on personal preference. Some even use 12mm.
As for wigs I usually purchased 6/7, again the BIDs and KIDs usually share the same size. Even their feet are the same size.

The following photo is example of 11mm eyeco eyes (these are soft silicone eyes). By the way, the wig is an Iplehouse BID/KID size wig. They are very generous in size. I actually use the BID/KID wigs on my JID.

    41. Apparently they have almost the same measurements as the UNOA CHIBI's so if you're looking for clothing try those~ :)

    42. Beautiful little girl, her eyes alive!

    43. Most of the 10" Pasty from Toner outfits fit Lonnie. Patterns for LeeAnn will fit her. I have some Littlefee patterns that I adujst the length in the arms and legs and they fit great. I had a hard time finding underwear for Lonnie. The littlefee underwear are too small and Pasty's were to baggy in the bottom. I love leggings so on "Antique Lilac" she has leggings and undershirt and two dress patterns for FREE and there made for Iplehouse KID.

    44. I don't know if it's ever been mentioned (can't remember) that Spampy makes custom clothes and Iplehouse KID is one of the sizes she does. I don't think it explicitly says KID on her site but she makes clothes for Narsha so they would fit.

    45. SUCH a great post!!! Thank you for this! It's so helpful! :)

    46. Some Leeann Doll Clothes (Denis B. Creator - Canada) on Iplehouse Lisa

The white dress is part of the Fiesta set he created and the black boots are part of his line too.

This style of boots does run long, however on the KIDs I think the scale looks fine.

      [broken photo link removed]
      (Lisa wearing LeeAnn boots)

These white boots are also part of his line. They are shorter/smaller than the black style and even fit better.

The outfit is part of a full set. While the pants are supposed to be full length, I think they are cute as capri length. The frog shoes have been mentioned before on the list - these are a newer color he has added (love the clear color styles)

    47. hi sweets.. i was wondering if dollmore narsha clothes fit kids??

      they are both 30cm dolls??

and are there more options for boys? iplehouse keep adding only kid female outfits..
      i'm so depressed

    48. Narsha is a lot chubbier than KID. Her hips, arms and legs are thicker. She also has a very long torso. I think her clothes would be a bit big on KID.

    49. There is no problem on wearing Narsha clothes on KID. ;)
(but I have to try some KID clothes on Narsha, like pants, but it is not your problem here... XD )

I post you what I posted on thread "Dollmore Narsha and Friends Discussion" :

    50. Has anyone tried the Bunny Nine clothes, especially the skinny jeans, on these dolls? The clothes are so cute, I wish I could order the jeans at least.

    51. Can K.I.Ds where Littlefee clothes too?

    52. KID is bigger than LittleFee so is
      BID.

    56. I forgot I made this post lol to respond to my own question, Bunny Nine Clothes do fit the BOYS, I don't have a girl so I can't speak for them but the shirts fit perfectly on the male KIDs and the jeans fit very tight but they fit. My favorites are the skinny jeans. The shoes don't fit at all....and that's all I have so far. Some Yo-SD fit them but not the jeans, then again my tinies are from Soom and they are on the skinny side, the littlefee clothes are a little big on them so they could fit KIDs better.

    57. Hi all this thread is a really useful resource for new KID owners. I found on Etsy a really cute Minifee outfit with capri pants that I was thinking of getting for my impending KID arrival. I messaged the shop owner, Olga and we did some comparisons of measurements, the only thing I thought may not work was the Minifee has wider hips than the KID, anyway she offered to make me the outfit to exactly the KID specs. She had the outfit sewn and shipped within 24 hours, she was so lovely and so helpful, that with her blessing I'm sharing the shop info here for you guys: by Olyshka.
