BTW, My Luts Real Skin Brown Breeze arrived a couple of days ago and I just photographed his hand next to my Special Real Skin Owen's hand.
Odd that my camera seemed to reverse the coloring. In natural light the Luts looks pinker and the IH looks more brown. At any rate, they don't match.

I finally got another JID to go with Violet. She's a Cordelia in RS. Still looking for a name, though.

 

I re-did my Benny's faceup and took some good pictures I'm so in love!!

@Flipphazer Oh, isn't Sky just as cute as a box of buttons! I love her Final Fantasy hair and her Amy Winehouse eyeliner.

@Blablette They are!!!! I love her so much! I'm jelly you got the darker skin! It's really hard to get dolls that color because they are often limited runs!

 

I look forward to seeing how you trick her out... your girls always have such great accessories and styling. But I know it can take awhile to put all the layers of details together. ^^

 

I actually have a lot of stuff I'm going to do with my Amy too. I'm going to make her more decora, I found some really cute clips and there are some clothes off etsy I'm going to buy at some point.

Wow, she's adorable!

But... all these Ipledolls are stunning. If their weren't these problems with the mobility. I have a Iplehoise Tania and decited to let her go, because of that. Too sad, because she's a real beauty as you can see on the picture.



Is this a generally situation with Iple J.I.D. dolls?

 

@Lysandra, From what I've heard it is considered a problem with Iplehouse in general. I just like to sit around and play with/look at my dolls, so I don't notice. And, there are some people who can pose them like they are real people, so you'll find varying opinions. But, the best I can tell, the company is considered not the best posers all the way around. Your old Tania is gorgeous, by the way!

I wired my girls arms which helps...you could probably wire the legs just as easily....My dislike is the way they sit. The lean can be nice, but at doll meets I don't want her leaning forward when everyone else is just straight up.

 

My Owen isn't the poser my Minifee boy is, but I rarely have a problem with him taking and holding a pose. He's the one in the photo a few months ago recreating the "Staying Alive" dance pose.

 

I have Asa, and I love her. Mine is the Special Edition from when she was first introduced, back in 2010, and here she has her original Iplehouse face up. She's been redone since then.

 

i love the look of my asa. nobody does realism like iple! but compared to a lot of my other dolls the posing is poor so she doesnt get nearly as much play time. i also have an older light brown doll and she greened really badly compared to my luts and fairyland tans. dont know if they have fixed that problem, but i was disappointed since i love the realskin and darker dolls

 

Perhaps I was just lucky with my Owen (who is in the process of discovering who he really is again). He poses well and his Special Real Skin tone (wow, is he really 2 1/2 years old?) is perfect.

 

I keep on hoping that Iplehouse will come out with just one JID boy with a squared jawline. I have a character in mind to go with my Isar who looks much more mature than most of the JID ladies. I wish Iplehouse would not think of them as teenagers as I like this size better than the EID's. They are easier to play with.

Please Iplehouse, just one mature JID male for me. I am sure he would sell out fast!

 

I too would like to see a more masculine JID boy, but I don't expect it to happen. Mainly because I don't think this is their teen size. I think JID represents that awkward stage in development where the girls have hit puberty while the boys are lagging far behind. There seems to be a size missing in Iple's lineup, specifically a teenage size. The nYIDs represent late teens. Between JID and nYID there is a huge gap in size where they could easily add something in the 52-55cm range. I, for one, would love to see them do it.

In the meantime, please Iplehouse, our boys want clothes! Not fantasy, not grunge, just normal clothes.

 

Yeah, really, these guys are just SO underdeveloped! Totally no puberty happening!

I think the baby faces of the male JID's is what has put me off choosing one for the companion of my Asa and Cordelia. They need a beau that's most definitely a man, but the more I look at them the younger they seem

I'm hoping that this year Iple will come up with a nice fella for my girls. I mean they gave us Edwin last year, but he's too sweet looking for the character I want. Maybe Daniel might work if they don't bring out a new guy. I love his eye shape, but I'll have to consider face up to make him look mature.

Anyone got a JID boy with a more mature look? Not necessarily something with facial hair, just an older appearance than the norm?

I'm with everyone else, thinking Owen is the most mature of the JID sculpts....

The girls are just as babyfaced, so it's in keeping with Iple style. Heck, most of the YID & SID girls look like Toddlers in Tiaras too. All JIDs have that same combo of young face + badaboom body.

It's all in the styling, anyway. You can totally get both teenaged or grownup looks out of the same sculpt-- different eye size, faceup, eyebrows, hair style, clothing style, facial hair, jewelry, etc.

 

OMG FINALLY!! BLACK BIKER JACKET!! Better late than never, y'all! I gotta do me some shopping......

 

While I'm thrilled at the availability of new tops, none of them seem to be paired with new pants. Where's the pants?

 

SO PATHETIC WITH THE PANTS, ALREADY. I guess they expect us to have all already shopped for pants before the good bluejeans sold out.... or else that we're using the pants from all those fantasy outfits.... or else that we all sew our own. Would it kill them to bring back those magnificent bluejeans? And what happened to the camouflage cargos? How about some black or khaki cargos, would that be too difficult? I mean, sheesh.

It's just nasty what they're charging for the leather jacket and red flannel, but those are urban-sprite essentials. It's also nasty what they're charging for those great-looking bracelet sets, but I just dumped a king's ransom on 'em anyway because my JIDs and EIDs damn well need wristwear.

 

*flips* SHIRTS omg finally!!!! I would have celebrated sooner but I don't seem to get notified of this thread anymore.

I'm ok with the black pants they have, now I guess I have to make an order, and soonest. I have a Granado boy who needs JID sized shirts as well so all my money will be going to Iple. (especially since I have another doll order to make someday)

Who needs money for food and rent anyway....?

I got that leather jacket & flannel shirt for my grunge sprites! It's a really nice pleather, and it looks great; but Iplehouse has started cutting corners in the weirdest places. They didn't crease the lapels, so you have to keep pushing them back to get it to look right, and they didn't fasten the loose flapping straps around the cuffs at all (I had to tack them down with some fun-tak for the photoshoot). The zipper is also set a little weird, so I'll be careful not to let it rip the pleather. For what you pay for somea' this stuff, y'know? .... BUT DAMN IT LOOKS SO GOOD! I love it.

The Funky Studded T-Shirt is also adorable, thankfully has no sizing issues, and suits Ripley just great (he borrowed some goth platform boots so he's currently towering over Max ).

Probably the jacket will fit Ripley (Model body) a little bit better. Both the flannel shirt and the leather jacket are very tight in the arms & shoulders on Muscle Max here. I wanted Max to wear the red flannel layered under the jacket, but no way that'll fit. It's just like shopping for EIDs-- if you have one doll of each body-type, it's always a gamble which doll the clothing will fit properly!

(I also bought that wonderful studded wrap-bracelet set. It is made for JIDs, but it is so tight on a JID's wrist that after 3 attempts to fasten it, the fastener broke off the end. I fixed it & added an extra jump-ring to give it more space, which did the trick. Beware....)

I made them. I went to the secondhand discount store to find boy's shirts with a small enough plaid, that were soft enough to use for a doll-scale shirt.

I just realized I haven't checked this thread in weeks. OPPS. Fedora past her 1 year mark of being home while I was MIA. No new photos though as the weather hasn't been good in weeks. It's finally sunny again though so the plan is to take her out today. Just her, Sadly she's never gotten a proper solo shoot I always take Alex with her if I go further then the backyard XD.

Cordelia is basic! And she brings two gorgeous outfits with her! Not so shure about her face-ups thought...

 

I think the face ups are pretty but not as much my taste as her original. I think I've finally figured out what isn't hitting it for me on several of the newer face ups. I think, for me, it is the lips. While I love the arty, heart-like lips, I prefer my Iples to look more realistic. And face up A, well, every since I got my Lonnie with it, I haven't cared much for the orange-ish lips. Just personal taste. It's so fun to see Cordelia in the different color wigs. My girl is still wearing her original black. And the checkered dress, well that is just to die for!

 

Well he looks great in his stuff, issues aside! I love that flannel, I have it in SID size for my tiny DM Adams. I don't think anyone has ever worn it as a shirt...just around their waist XD

I wonder if the other shirts are in need of creasing? I just ordered a white and black one....I don't even know if I own an iron D:
(However I'm really happy to be getting clothes for my Owen. I have forgotten what his face looks like without the mask...)
