My dog Stu is like that too. She always sneaks in for the first few photos. She's also docile while at the vets, which is apparently odd for Dachsunds like her (they tend to be biters ) She's so laid back, she'd likely fall asleep whilst ill rather than bite the vet

I am very impressed with Iplehouse right now. I ordered my Real Skin Raffine on the 7th October and she is already on shipping!

I wasn't expecting her before Xmas.

 

I think a lot of us Raffine buyers got that shipping notice today!

Is anyone else experiencing issues with Iple site? When I logg in and go to Iple Talk section, it reroutes me to some Chinese website .

Edit: I sent info to Iple mail regarding the issue, let's hope they will figure it out soon.

I just got the same Chinese site when I tried to go to iples website, reloading didn't work for me either. I got a link to my account from an old email, that worked and got me in. The site is still there but they seem to have been hacked by this other site.

 

You're not the only one. I just had issues getting to the actual site at work. The language choice page kept sending me to a chinese camera(?) site, and I tried it in two different browsers with the same results. All of the language options (except the FOMA ones) do it.

 

I left a message for Iple on their support page, this has been happening on and off for a while now, they need to address this quickly, I would just be concerned about their customers details.

 

I haven't been able to get into any part of their site all day. I keep getting the same page in Chinese or some other Asian language. I even tried searching individual dolls online but the only "official" photos I find were re-posted to other sites. I'm also finding a disturbingly large number of photos lifted from my own blog! They weren't even good photos.

 

Oh dear that's no good on both fronts. Firstly no good that you can't get onto Iple at all. And second that you found 'art thieves' taking your photos. How can they do that?! Sorry really irritates me when people do that without permission or at least a comment of acknowledgment that the original belongs to someone else

I don't know that it's really art thieves. You know how when you do a search on Yahoo (and probably other search engines, too) you have the option to browse through image results? If you hover over any photo, you get the text that went with it. Click on any photo for an enlargement and a source link. A click on one of mine takes you directly to my blog. I saw other photos that I recognized as MB Lilac's, and some belonging to Pepstar. Some were from ebay, flickr, deviantArt, pinterest, and a lot from DoA.

 

That sounds more like your settings allow you to be viewable by Google search rather than they're being used by others then. Glad that's all it is in your case. Sorry for assuming, I have close friends who have had their work taken and used by others by simply cutting off their names from the bottom of the photos, so it hits home when I hear about it happening

 

Not a problem, Forever. I'd rather have someone get all upset on my behalf than have people just shrug their shoulders and say, "Well, it happens..." I had to go back and look at it more closely before I realized what was going on. Thanks!

What really ticks me off is the stolen photos used by the Chinese Re-cast sellers online and on Ebay... Tons of Iplehouse company photos used to fool people. And some owner photos, too, but mostly company photos. Ebay is full of hundreds of auctions using stolen doll photos. Makes me want to stop going there altogether...

 

I think Tiffany was suing Ebay for years about the counterfeits... I don't think they were successful. EB says to Report Counterfeits and Fakes (which is what recasts are), but the same auctions are up again and again--also using company photos, which is another thing that is supposedly Reportable. I know IH has tried to report them, but nothing is done. There are literally tons of the same auctions of Asa, for instance, using the same stolen photos and same auction format, and mostly sold by the same sellers... and I know people are reporting them, and I'm reporting literally hundreds and hundreds of these auctions... and nothing changes. Apparently EB is one of the biggest marketplaces for counterfeit items in the world. Pretty sick. I guess 'buyer beware' is as pertinent as ever! (And agreed--it would be easy for EB to be able to tell what is what. They just like making millions from the fees and pretending to follow the law, it seems!)

 

We all know what these dolls cost, and to see a new Iplehouse doll on any marketplace, such as eBay or YJ for 1/3 the priced should tell you right away it's not legit.

 

I could never buy a recast and can't imagine myself buying one. As an artist myself, it's a very sore spot and I always love supporting other artists. I know how I'd feel if someone ripped off my work and made money off it.
Personally, saving up is half the fun. I mean it's painful but also it's fun and makes getting that new doll all that more sweet.

 

I've pretty much stopped using ebay altogether unless I am very familiar with the seller. It's a total can of worms otherwise.

Iplehouse's copyright protection doesn't seem to be doing it much good, does it?

 

I have no problems getting to the Iplehouse website, hopefully it was sorted out soon for everyone.

 

I got confirmation email from Iplehouse that they fixed the issue. I do not have any issues now, so lets hope all of us can stalk their favourite dolls and photos on Iple site

 

Did anyone else download the CH wallpaper? My screen isn't quite as wide as their image. I lost Vera and Lawrence on the left, Scarlett and half of Pamela on the right, and the tops of Isis' and Omar's heads. Really bummed at losing Lawrence.

 

Yay! It took me a few minutes to find the settings, but I got it to fit. Of course, now Lawrence's face is hidden by icons, but at least he's there. I've shuffled the icons around. Here's hoping they stay where I moved them.

My Raffine is home! Now I have to see if I can make room to do her face up. They did a good job with her seams. I remember my first Iplehouse that I received which was a Yur. I was so disappointed as her seams were huge and sharp. Considering she's a real skin I thought I might have a similar problem.

 

I love my Talon (Arvid/SID hybrid), but I really, REALLY hate the ankles on Iplehouse dolls (they're not the first dolls I've had with the reversed ankle design, but the way Iplehouse executes it, with the ledge around the edge, it just really doesn't work, especially for larger/heavier dolls). They're constantly snapping our of position, and the poor guy has no stability.



So I've been thinking about ways to fix it, and finally ended up purchasing a pair of Luts SSDF male feet (I have previously purchased an SSDF male from Luts, so they let me buy replacement feet, even though the SSDF male feet aren't part of their normal optional parts offerings), since they're very close in size to the SID male feet. They arrived today, and I think they're going to work out well. Now I just need to build up the inner part of the SID ankles, then reshape the sockets to accept the SSDF ankle balls, and he should be able to actually stand in more than one pose, and I won't have to worry about his ankles popping out of position all the time! It's also a good opportunity to restring him with some thicker elastic, since the default Iplehouse elastic is far too thin for a doll this heavy.

 

The Iplehouse resin is a bit more pink than the Luts resin, but it's not terrible, and since it's his feet, I'm not overly picky about it (they're generally going to be covered by shoes, anyway).

I am waiting for Raffine as well. I ordered her off of doll choice which was not my plan. I went to order Scarlett on the SID small bust body, but then I saw Raffine was on DC and I could get her on that body...well that's what I ordered. I just looked at DC again to see if they had added any other heads and Raffine isn't there now. Was I just lucky and it was a mistake? It scared me and I checked my order and it's correct. Phew.
Mostly I do my own face ups, but I ordered the new Doria makeup A. That may not have been the right decision, but no matter it will definitely make her shipping date later than sooner. Maybe by Christmas ?
I can't wait to see everyone's Raffine versions. She's very interesting and should make interesting variations.

So you ordered her with a SID body? There are a few people I've seen who want a SID Raffine, it'll be interesting to see

If you ordered during last months DC while Raffine was on offer, then no there won't be an error as they often offer there current limited dolls in DC during their sales period, then remove them once it ends. For example as Carved Heritage series dolls are still currently on sale, it means you can order them in DC. Some of them (maybe all?) will likely not be there next month

 

Wow...I'm impressed that some people have got their Raffine already! I'm looking forward to seeing them in the thread. =)

So...does that mean if I want a Bliss I have to order now while the Carved Heritage dolls are back on sale? She wouldn't normally be included as an option in doll choice?

 

The sculpts from the original Carved Heritage series (including Bliss) were already made available through DC

 

About 3 years ago? But I cannot keep the collection growing at that rate - I had available cash then, don't have it now, probably won't have it again for a few years yet. Must save up now, or fund by selling something (doll or other). Iples still dominate my wishlist though... I dearly want SID Eric and am thankful he is basic! (PIDs got me with Ariel and Pylia - the proportions appeal much much more. I did get a Rose PID but I'm not sure I'll keep her. The bobble-headedness just doesn't do it for me, no matter how exquisitely sculpted she is.)

 

Everyone's Iplehouse dolls are so amazing! I'm really hoping to get an Ashanti on an EID woman's body in either ebony or light brown But since I'm a Canadian and our dollar is so low compared to the US, I need to save up almost 30% more :'( Oh well, it'll be worth it in the end!!!!

I also have a question for you Iple owners. I've tried searching in the threads but I'm having trouble finding what I'm looking for. Has anyone done comparisons between Iplehouse resin and Dollshe Fresh skin? Iplehouse White looks like it might be an okay match for Fresh, but if anyone can show me a comparison I would be very appreciative!

Unfortunately you can't use layaway with DC

Lady Tiku actually meant as their sale pages are open at the moment you can order them as normal (no outfit though) and utilise the layaway feature.

Also a side note, the tattoo body is not available in DC either so if you really want that, best to go through the sales page for that

Huh... I never really paid attention to the points thing with DC. I'm used to using layaway so not getting much points anyway so didn't click that I got some with Stella and Sierra's order. You're right, just the optional stuff. I wonder why?

Hmm... I wonder if there is anyone out there that has ordered so many dolls/stuff from them that they've accumulated enough points to pay for a full doll? That would be awesome and possibly scary to think the amount of money someone would have to spend to get that many in the first place
