sadly I don't have any more Bibiane, I sold her just because I have two new dolls coming from SartoriaJ. And I bought them just because I was wanted them as long as they showed up. Don't know how long it will take to arrive here, but anyway I'm on layaway payments so plenty of time to pay and then to get them.

Iplehouse updated my order status to preparing to ship! My first HID Aaliyah is coming, and I'm so excited!

I realize that these bodies have a reputation for not being great posers. Have you tried any mods to improve posing? If so, what have you tried? Hot glue? Wire? Any other recommendations? She's a blank, so taking the doll apart will not be a problem.

 

I personally think it depends on the body type for the level posing ability and/or issues with that. I think the newer SID model bodies pose like a dream, but I hate the old SID male AKA the SID muscle body for trying to pose it. (I own one on that body and that's enough it's models only beyond that one for me.) With the HID,EID, SID, YID, etc bodies all have have different quirks depending the body type, like some elbows just work smoother then others. Sometimes hot glue can help a little, and sometimes it's a lost cause. The biggest issue I have with most of them is the "wonk ankles" which I have found no fix for.

Now do not get my wrong I love my Iple army, but the tricky ankles takes a little learning curve to deal with. I've heard it is a bit less trouble on HID girls. (However do not quote me on that as I don't own one.) I do know the new SID model males and females have nice normal ankles, and normal elbows and normal knees. HID women looked like a more streamline and refined version of the EID woman body, if that's the case they might pose a touch better.

I have a lot of Iplehouse dolls in my house (I own 27 IH dolls and one hybrid, and my love owns 3 sooner to be 4) so I've just come to embraced their quirks and learned to pose them as best as each body type allows. That said if anyone has a good ankle mod I'd love to hear it. XD

I got YID Claude from IH a few days ago but I'm having trouble, his head is so small that none of the 8-9 wigs I have fit. The 7-8 don't fit either. What size are they?? due to this I haven't been able to bond with him.

Also, the make up is so so plain, I'm never ordering make up from them again. It's such a shame, 10 years ago they used to have the best make up service. So if I keep him I will have to erase or modify the face up.

As for the small head, I don't remember feeling this way 10 yrs ago with my old IH SID dolls so I don't know if they make the heads for YID smaller of if all the SD heads from IH have always been an odd size between 7-8 and 8-9.

I really want to love him but I will put him up on eBay if I can't find a good wig for him

 

Ok hold off on the selling for a moment there, there are many solutions to your issues - you already mentioned you can redo his face up (or you can always commission another artist), and if his head is an odd shape, then you can always make (or buy) him a custom sized wig.

 

I have a vampire Claude on the SID model body, his head fits a 7/8 from Monique Gold Label perfectly. I think his head is 8 even maybe a touch smaller, I could not say for the human version.

 

I own a few Claudes , humans and vamps and the head is the same, Iplehouse does not shrink heads for the nYID body.

I'm not sure what wigs you are trying, but a 7/8 Monique wigs have always fit him. In fact SID M heads are interchangeable with using EID, SID womans wigs. Some generic wigs seem to be to big. Did you get an Iplehouse one? I got a vamp one in one of them. SID is a 8\9 on them. Can you show us a pic?

The golden ones are all Monique Gold in 7/8 and the silver one is 8/9 Iplehouse. In fact the 8/9 silver wig was bought for my EID Aurora, but I liked it better on vamp Claude, so he got it.

Congratulations on your HID Aaliyah! She is a beautiful doll. I love her so much I'd happily have multiples Did you buy her with the mobility joint? The HID girls are very large and heavy but I don't have issues with the way they pose. I'd choose the mobility joint if you want more freedom to pose them. They have upgraded the ankle joint on the HID girls. I'm sure you will love her!

@LyanneNZ @Bren your Aaliyahs are so beautiful! Now I'm even more excited! What skin tones are they?
I did get the thigh mobility joint (I splurged). Also got two optional types of hands, and extra heel feet.

 

Mine is light brown but that was before they split the LB into light and dark...so I guess she is the darker shade. Oh good...my other HID girls have mobility joints. If you like posing the dolls I think you will enjoy that. Oh and extra hands are great fun too! Can't wait to see your new girl! Here's mine when I was playing with the "fist" hands...

Thank you. Mine is the older Lt Brown skin before they changed the formula and before they split it into the two groups. So she is lighter than Lyanne's. Good idea to get the extra hands and feet , mine does not have the mobility joint. I find it distracting from the beauty of the leg when I have them in shorts, lingerie or swimsuits.

Thank you. I love my group of Claudes. The more the merrier. I really like this whole change on her for your Bibi. She's unforgettable. as well as Gorgeous and mesmerizing in that dress.

@LyanneNZ, You can't go wrong with a Cristy. One of my favorite artist. But you my friend, is not left behind with yours. I love seeing your dolls with your own beautiful face ups.

 

@Quiet and Insane yes, I will not sell him yet. I need to work on him first, find the right wig and eyes, remove his face up and give him a new one. I will work on him first and if I still don't like him then I will sell him.

@Tippetarius ooh so his head is size 8. I have SDs here with the 8-9 and 9-10 heads, I think I'm not used to small heads... weird because it's not The first time I have big dolls from IH but it was a long time ago and my collection was small.

@Bren I see your picture and I feel in love with your Claude dolls! wow they're all wonderful but I see mine and I don't feel the same. I haven't taken pictures of him but I will try my best to work on him. Thank you, now I know the head is normal size and he uses 7-8 or 8 size wig. I have furwigs and synthetic wigs I got from eBay, leekeworld, luts etc all 8-9 wigs were big but I don't have many 7-8 wigs, The ones I have didn't fit. When I finish working I will post here^_^ I hope I fall in love with him!
